Went to this location for the first time this morning and I am raving to my friends about the food and service that we received. Everyone , from the wait staff I met at the front door to the person who served our table provided EXCEPTIONAL service!! Even thought this establishment is located in the Panhandle of Florida, Southern hospitality is not always evident in many restaurants. This Broken Egg sets the standard for Southern Hospitality!!! My guest and I were treated with attentive service, exceptional food, and hot coffee which was refilled regularly. The menu offers many options for gluten-free and vegetarian palates and the server voluntarily inquired about a need to substitute other ingredients in the Eggs Benedict when I asked about not including the English muffin. We've been every weekend regulars for a very long time now and this is the 1st time having a bad review. Although our service was really good with Ari, the food was not. My order was wrong twice. Ari did offer to fix it but after speaking with the manager and she didn't really seem to care or do anything about it, I was over it. We are here every single weekend and Tiffany, Dara, Mercedes and Ari are some of the best but the current management is not. We ate here as we were leaving Pensacola back in August and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. I got the Banana Foster Waffle and my husband got the burger. He did say he wished he'd got the same thing as me because it was so good. Service was excellent and the place was very clean! I would recommend getting on the waiting list when you head that way. This is the absolute best breakfast spot I've been to in a long time. I've been to a lot of great places that were great in one area and lacked in another. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! As soon as we walked in, the hostess was sweet and gave us great info about the menu. The waitress Michelle was genuinely sweet about EVERYTHING. I asked questions and based upon what I asked she suggested I try something I would've never tried. It was DELICIOUS!!! One of the managers walked around and engaged with the customers and asked how everything was. It was great! My only disappointment is that we don't have any of these restaurants at home in Philly... Last Sunday my wife and I decided to try Another Broken Egg for the first time. We check in through the Yelp app, I highly recommend that way. We were sat in Maddie's section. The food and the service was the best. Maddie made sure we were very taken care of, we loved it. We told her that we will be asking her her anytime we come back. My friend and I looked at the menu online and Called in our order. We had decided to call ahead and takeout because yesterday there was a long line of people waiting outside so we ate somewhere else. Today we thought if we called ahead we could then pick up our order and take it to the beach. But when we called, the person said there were tables available and no one was waiting, and besides, we couldn't order ahead on the phone. So we decided to eat in. We drove down (about a 20 minute drive) and there it was: another long line of people waiting for a table. So, we changed our plan and decided that we would go back to the original intention of takeout, because the place was packed and noisy. About 20 minutes later our food was ready, and we took it with us to the beach. My friend's gluten free pancakes were delicious, but my gluten-full pancakes were tough and rubbery, quite hard to cut, as if they had cooled off and then been warmed in the microwave, which then toughened the gluten in the wheat. There was supposed to be whipped Irish cream and strawberries, but the cream was liquid and there were all of about two, maybe three small strawberries sliced on top. The supposed coffee flavored pancakes had no coffee flavor. I also ordered a lunch item for later, and sampled the potatoes, which were dry and tasteless. I have visited this restaurant many times however if today were my 1st time it would have been my last time. We were told a wait of 45 min, only 49 min later told "oh no ur wait is 45-75 min". We were sat at a table smack in the middle, when I asked if we could sit in a booth, we were told it was taken. What exactly does that mean? It was empty. And everything got worse from there. Our server did not take time to hear our order or allergy needs. He actually brought a large dusty bag of pancake mix for us to read the ingredients. And still the order was not marked as an allergy order. Bread was placed on the plate contaminating everything else on the plate. Oh yes, there was gum on my chair and I know it was because I scraped some off with my fingernail, yet I was told it was just a stain! So we wait for new food and even tho we paid more for the City Grits, they were missing 2 ingredients. Now we were told they could bring the missing items and we could stir them into our grits..we passed. The server never asked if we needed anything so I got his attention for more beverages. Which he brought out incorrectly. I asked for take home containers for 2 foods, I was given 1 small container and had to ask for another one which was tossed on the table. Really poor service yet...he kept my change. Yes, he make the decision on how much tip I was leaving him! This is the second location I have visited. Ordered the Monterey Omelet- other than the avocado being too hard, it was great and the portion size was realistic for one person. My husband ordered the power bowl - holy cow, this thing is enormous! I tasted it, and it was really amazing. My daughter ordered the kids pancakes, she cleaned her plate, which she never does. I have no desire to return for another to-go order much less to sit down in that sort craziness, but to each his own. Admittedly my fault for my timing, I realized after the fact. Update: I appreciate the care and attention that has been given to my review. While the efforts are appreciated I will not be returning as my issue is with the atmosphere of the establishment. I tried as sip of my fiance's Bloody Mary and they were fantastic as well. The mimosa however does not seem like a good enough deal at $9 for the amount you get. Service was poor. We ate the bar so we would not have to wait an hour to be sitted. Server complained and it was apparent that perhaps she might need to find a new job because even the food was not that good, cold eggs are not my favorite thing but for us it is all about the service, which can make it or break it. It broke us. Grits weren't cooked, and I had no idea that could be done. The apple fritter French toast was very different, haf hospital appealing taste. Coffee and sweet tea were never refilled and took about 10 minutes to get our drink order, and no, she was not slammed.No person ever asked if everything was ok, but perhaps they already knew it was not. So if you choose to go, perhaps don't sit at the bar because they are only complaints and no joy. Life is hard enough so no we won't be back because we didn't feel like we were welcome. We have been frequenting Another Broken Egg Pensacola for just over 4 years. When I say frequenting I mean pretty much every Saturday! The food is unmatched in deliciousness and quantity! You will never walk away hungry after a morning at ABE. For a couple years Memory was our go to server but since she has transitioned to the host area we have had ok service but nothing exceptional, until this passed week. As a tourist. The wait time was ridiculous. We had an hour wait time. Was seated ar one of 4 cleaned tables that remained unfilled for 20 minutes. Then waited another 50 minutes for our meal. Tried the Beignets, they were okay. The water was awful. Servers were very nice. I ordered biscuits and gravy, and my boyfriend ordered the chicken biscuit. His food was better than mine. I would not wait for the biscuits. The gravy was okay. I felt like they were lacking pepper. The sausages were dense and large, but lacked flavor. The potatoes were just potatoes. Better with the pepper sauce. I don't feel like this was worth my wait and I am disappointed that I wasted more than 2 and a half hours of my vacation here. Edit. They contacted me via message and promised someone would be in contact with me by my address or phone almost 2 weeks ago. They have not replied since I gave them my details.
