It's the best coffee in the grove, but not the best I'd ever had for that price. The speciality drinks are really good.

I was very excited to try a small business and the Japanese coffee sounded super enticing. Who doesn't want to try a fun new coffee place. Unfortunately, the coffee was way too hot and just tasted bitter. I also had a the man and woman making the coffee were quite rude. I asked if I could have a cup of water so my son could drink "coffee" without feeling left out and they refused and told me they only sell water. When I said really? They told me that they don't have enough cups to give people water and told me to go somewhere else like the pretzel place next door which I hadn't purchased anything from. Honestly, they could have said it in a polite way and I would have understood but they just had such attitudes like they couldn't be bothered to help anyone, to someone who was just nicely asking for a cup of water. I ordered a $7 dried out pastry as well. That isn't uncommon at coffee houses to spend that much, but they are really delicious and fresh. This was not that at all. Super bummed, wanted to love it so much. The aesthetic of the place was beautiful and maybe with the right staff who heat coffee correctly, it could have been a great place. And honestly if the staff hadn't been so yucky I wouldn't have even written a review but if it was my business I would want to know. read more

My only complaint is I wish I had a bigger cup but I guess it's good they don't so I don't have a heart attack Haha! i had to try this location bc i loved the new york %arabica so much and it definitely did not disappoint the matcha latte was so matcha-ey and tasted so good and i could already tell by the color that it was going to be so good. i like that they have simple syrup out for u to add how much u want. i have extremely high matcha standards and this is one of the few places that make matcha the way i like. the place is rly small so its not like a full cafe just kinda order and go. regardless the people were so nice and helped us quickly even though there were a lot of people waiting for their drinks to be made. overall 9/10 read more

I have given this spot quite a few chances because I go to the Grove so often, but the customer service here is just too poor for me to return. At first, I thought that the cashier/barista might have been rude because it was very busy and there were only two people to complete all the orders (completely understandable), but they are equally if not more rude during slow hours as well. read more

Cute little stand in the middle of The Grove! It was busy but service was friendly and fast. I got the iced Kyoto Latte with oat milk. It had a nice flavor with a subtle sweetness. Not my favorite coffee ever, but definitely refreshing on a hot day in LA and one of the better coffee options in the area. read more

From the moment you approach the stand you are greeted by a worker whose only interest is to gain male attention. The woman taking orders was completely belligerent and had an intolerable attitude. When my father asked for a "wet cappuccino" she continued to persist that it doesn't exist and asked if he wanted a "dry, short, latte or cortado" to which I replied "latte" to make it easier for her to comprehend. She sighed and started laughing at us with her co-worker. Upon waiting for our drink there were two women who were waiting for their order which was wrong and when politely confronting the barista she asked a man waiting for his drink if he wanted the incorrect order to which he said no. She aggressively dumped the drink and used old espresso for the ladies remake. Once the women leave she says "I was gonna dump the coffee on her face". Shocking considering the ladies were so kind and it was her mistake that she took the wrong order. Four men then waiting for their drinks weren't proficient In English and she had gave him espresso over ice and said "here's your drink" to which he looked confused and asked her what it was. She looks over at her colleague and she says "iced Spanish latte" which is clearly not espresso over ice. He asks for milk and she puts in sweetener. I was baffled at this point, waiting for me and my father's drink. Once she started pouring our drinks she said "so you want a cortado" at this point I had specifically gone over the fact that we want a latte to make it easy. She sighs and says yeah well you asked for this. I tell her sorry I'm unsure why you don't know what a wet cappuccino is but do not insult me. Then she says "this isn't lala land this is a specialty coffee shop". I've been to Arabica in Dubai many times, I am quite aware what the company is. She tried to belittle me in front of a crowd of unsatisfied customers and make it seem like I don't know what coffee is. She can do a simple google search and teach herself to watch her ignorant mouth. This place sure isn't lala land because their motto is "be nice" and she is definitely upholding the opposite standard. read more

Bad management. Sad to see such a good brand not at its potential. On Saturday, the shop opens at 10:45AM instead of the open time of 10:00AM. Had to pay an extra $4 for parking because the shop didn't open on time. The employees were laughing and taking there sweet time in setting up. No sense of urgency. read more

Stopped by this trending coffee shop as seen on Tik Tok and it was good! The like wasn't too bad and the wait for our drinks was not long at all. The Kyoto I enjoyed a lot and so did my dad, it was a nice blend that you don't get tired of. The Matcha was good as well it had a smooth and strong flavor. They were also kind about giving iced water which I appreciate. It was also nice to sit under the canopy at The Grove and enjoy our drinks! My brother and I were shopping at the grove and stumbled upon this Arabica location in the late afternoon (8/13/23). I've only gone to their other location in NYC and the drinks were a bit underwhelming there. However, the grove location has me changing my mind about the drinks and atmosphere overall! There was a bit of a line when we came by but that told me that the drinks here at this location must be that good. The line went by quickly and the staff was very welcoming and sweet even during a busy time. We also did not wait for our order that long. We ordered a lemonade, chocolate croissant, and an iced americano. Both drinks were refreshing during the LA heat and the croissant was also very delicious. I would definitely stop by again for my coffee fix as this cafe was also centered in a cute outdoor area! read more

I wanted to try ARABICA when I was in Paris, but upon arrival discovered they had closed down. Was super excited to hear one had opened locally in LA! I tried a latte and their Kyoto latte (both hot; both small sizes). They tasted great and very well balanced! I think a larger size would've been too diluted but that's my opinion ‍ When ordering, I was asked whether I wanted dark or light roast. I chose light because it looked medium I do think the milk could've/should've been textured better; both drinks had a lot of "dry foam" which I don't prefer. I know quality can vary from barista to barista, but given the reputation and price, I would expect more quality control. BTW I went on a Wednesday morning around 11am. Zero rush. read more

I am very disappointed. The service was rude, he took my punch card for a free drink and refused to honor it, and was dismissive when I asked why he wouldn't. The matcha was mediocre, and the same employee did not get anywhere close to filling my dribi, which was the largest size. It was only filled about 2/3! When I asked, he ignored me. This location was incredibly disappointing. I have gone to Arabica in Kyoto and was so impressed by the richness of the coffee (it was actually one of the best coffees I've had). I was really excited when I found out there was a location in LA. Unfortunately, the coffee here is not even close to the quality of the location in Kyoto. Way too much milk, barely any coffee taste. The difference is even clear in photos (the first pic is Kyoto, the second is the Grove). I'm hoping this location will be able to improve their quality and consistency.
