If I could give it a zero I would rate this a 0. I typically don't give negative reviews but I was beyond disappointed with the customer service and the drink. I'm always in search of a matcha spot and this place looked adorable. The person who attended my sister and I (green hair on her bangs) started off rude. I can understand being frustrated when being busy but we were the only ones ordering since the grove wasn't open until another 30 minutes. And the drinks, my matcha was unpleasant. I was visiting the Grove and it was cold so my family and I desperately needed a hot drink. Luckily there was a % Arabica stall right there. Not a whole lot to say, but this is a good coffee shop option especially in the area. Service is friendly. I ordered the Kyoto Latte ($6.25) plus an extra $1 for Oat Milk added. Their sizes aren't the biggest, but the latte was good and had a nice strong flavor. I didn't realize there was condensed milk on the bottom until halfway through the drink. The drinks were made pretty efficiently too and the line moved fast even on a busy day. Would definitely recommend this spot! read more

I'm so happy to have found this spot in LA. I first discovered this coffee shop while traveling in Thailand, where they offered even more options like affogato. Out of all the coffee I've tried across 20 countries, this is truly the best I've ever had. They've got a couple of tables, but the seating is shared with other nearby businesses, so it doesn't feel like its own space. After hearing many great things about % Arabica, I had to try it for myself. As a former barista of many years, I approve of this place. The flavors in the Kyoto iced latte blended seamlessly. It was the perfect amount of sweetness & creaminess. I really dislike when coffee shops make their drinks too sweet, but the Kyoto iced latte was balanced. :) The drinks here are focused on their quality over quantity and I feel like that's super important. I personally love to sip and savor my drink and Arabica is the coffee shop that you have to savor. I visited % Arabica on Thanksgiving Day. I was lucky that I made it just in time before closing at 4pm. I got the 8 oz, hot Kyoto Latte. It looked and smelled great, but at 1st sip, it tasted very roasted - almost burnt. I recommend stirring the drink to balance it out and get the sweetness. In my opinion, it was a nice drink, but not super special. One of my family members got the 8 oz, iced Spanish Latte, which was creamy and slightly sweet with lots of ice. Listen I totally get that it's the Holiday season at The Grove. Everyone is acting at their Costco best and has no spatial awareness. However, as a business you need to be prepared for this. Both the business and the employees. First of all this place needs more menus for people in line to see what they have - before- they reach the counter. That or an accessible QR code displayed. There were only two clipboards at the front of the line. When I grabbed one to look at it you would've thought I'd had screamed fire or something. Everyone in line was frustrated over this, trying to figure out what they did and didn't have. Secondly, the employees were so incredibly over their jobs. I've worked retail during the holidays for many years, I know it's frustrating - but it's part of the job to be a decent human being. The guy with the brown middle-parted hair and glasses was just so rude. I asked if they had tea and he gave me such a condescending "no we don't have tea here" with a sigh. I said, "I looked at your menu, and you don't have hot chocolate on it either but you seem to be serving it..." Mind you we ordered 5 of these, he didn't ask what size, then quickly brushed us off. Not one other employee in there seems to be trained in customer service. I'm not coming at it from a Karen perspective either, literally expecting a bare minimum "hello." Been dying to try this place so when I heard about it opening in LA, I HAD TO TRY! It's located at the grove, right in front of the Nike store and by Haagen Daaz -- it's a cute little white stand. We were lucky there was no line and did not have to wait long at all! This coffee is originally from Kyoto, Japan so I had to try the Kyoto Latte and the matcha latte. -Kyoto Latte - very good creamy, coffee. It's not sweet so if you want it sweetened, make sure to tell them or they also have simple syrup by the order pickup! -Matcha Latte - you can taste the quality in the matcha and it's also not very sweet. I like my matcha to be less sweet so I enjoyed that aspect of it. Will be back to try their other drinks!! read more

Found in one of the white food shops on the greens at The Grove, % Arabica is a cute shop. Staff here is the best! Really friendly and kind. Not on them, but it gets busy so drinks can take ages to pop up. There is some outdoor seating anywhere you can find it at The Grove so grab your brew & buckle up for good people watching. This shop is originally from Kyoto so I had to get the Kyoto Latte, obvi. Tasty and clean coffee, enjoyed it greatly. Also tried their sparkling lemonade which was delish. So refreshing! I was pretty disappointed with a few things as a first timer. To start, you can just tell the workers must hate their job from the vibe you get from ordering. My matcha was really bad. I have a pretty low standard for matcha and I thought it was just unacceptable what they created--its chunky, bland, and warm. Cute pop-up shop located at The Grove right in front of Nike! I've seen this café trending all over Instagram/Social Media and felt intrigued to try it. I ordered an iced café latte with oat milk, and my cousin's lemonade. It was delicious! Definitely high-quality with a nice smooth balance of espresso and milk. It's worth noting that the total was $7.50 for a small size (not including tip). The service was standard--pleasant staff--and your drink comes out pretty fast after you order. Interestingly, no prices are listed on their menu (see my attached photo as of 6/2023 when I wrote this review!). Would I come back again? Sure! The price range is quite high compared to other cafes with similar high-quality coffee. However, personally, it's the best coffee shop in terms of quality and taste for a latte at The Grove!
