Although unassuming in a small plaza at first glance, Armenos is a great for fresh food late night. There are not a lot of options open after 9/10pm, but they close at midnight - huge plus. My partner and I ordered a Combo Plate and small hummus to-go. The Combo Plate includes beef, chicken, lamb chops, rice, salad, roasted tomato and jalapeño, and pita. You get a good amount for the price and filled both of us up! Everything was hot and not dry at all, except the salad. Not sure if it was intentional, but there was no dressing or vinaigrette. Another mishap is when we noticed there was no hummus when we got home. We called, but they were already closed. However, I called the following day and they were very accommodating! Since we were in their delivery area, they were able to deliver it to us and notified us when they were on their way. I really appreciate that kind of service. Also, not sure if it was just that night because we came before they closed, but it was cash only. Regardless, will be back again to try other dishes!

I was a slight bit off but not sick. I did want something light so the order went as follows: Pickled veggies, hummus, Armenian salad, moutabel. My daughter had chicken and beef plate with hummus and yogurt cucumber. She received pita too. My hubby got oven roasted pork ribs, and a bowl of lentil soup. First - the food was all amazing! Fresh. The serving dishes were nice and different making the meal so attractive. We all shared bites of each others food and enjoyed knowing that the next we come we know again what we want. Service was lovely and we met George and his family, who were so very nice and welcoming. To have dinner at a family establishment is heart felt and nostalgic, because I grew up in a restaurant environment. George's mother in law came over to us and gave us fresh made cookie biscuits to try as dessert. We couldn't stop thanking them for the entire dining experience. It's a mom and pop shop. A hole in the wall. Some of the best places, you all know, are small. I liked this place a lot. And I'm planning on going there again soon. :) thank you George and family for delicious food and making us feel like family.

They have a variety of different deli meats and they're made in a pita wrap. I don't believe they have regular bread here. We ordered a large hot pastrami wrap with mustard. There are some ingredients you have to specifically ask for if you want them in your wrap like lettuce and onion, we didn't realize until after. We really enjoyed the wrap! It was good quality pastrami and overall a tasty meal. It just wasn't a lot of food, I split the large with my boyfriend but I could have easily eaten the whole thing myself. I'm curious how much smaller the small is. The price difference is $10 vs $14. After eating it, we both agreed this place is definitely worth coming back to. Looking forward to trying more!

I compared them to other places, and I must say, they were hands-down the best. The flavors were authentic, the food was clean and unblemished, and the portions were generous. The owner was incredibly generous and offered to give us the food back if we didn't like it. I was so impressed with the quality of the food that I decided to pay for it myself. The staff was kind and courteous, and the atmosphere was educational. Some of the pictures on the wall were beautiful, and the place was clean and well-maintained. I really appreciate these things in today's society. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal. I also had lemonade, which was just outstanding not too sweet not too tired just right.

For this visit, we tried an eggplant style zaatar "pizza", the chicken shawarma wrap, a falafel wrap, and baklava. The pizza was a delicately thin but fluffy treat with small crispy chunks of eggplant and a thin layer of juicy meat hugging the pita-like bread. The zaatar seasoning was a nice balance of nutty and zesty stop the savory goodness. For the wraps, the star was very clearly the chicken shawarma wrap. With fluffy pita wrap that was just the right thickness filled to the brim eith incredibly tender chicken, pickles, and a lovely soft fried potato that gave additional body and texture to the wrap. And the garlic sauce smeared within is fantastic, with a nice creamy consistency. This was perfection. Even the baklava and a really rich but pleasant sweetness to it with plenty of pistachio embedded between the layers of phyllo. This is nearly a two hour drive for us, but I would try to find another reason to make the drive. Zaatar N More is really exceptional and worth a try!

My favorites are their kabobs and different modifications (think sour berries) of generous amounts of basmati rice that accompany their entrees. The Mast O' Mooseer (yoghurt with shallots) is another of my must haves. Generally, I always get the koobideh kabob to go, but this time, I was in the mood to sit down and have some chunks of meat. I chose the Shish Kabob, which is advertised as grilled filet mignon pieces. The restaurant prepares it medium well and past experience revealed it to be dry and tough. So I asked for it medium rare, for the first time. The dish that came to my table had marvelous optics. The beef was well charred, had an intoxicating aroma and well distributed coloring amongst the seven generous pieces. But there were a few problems. For one, I could not comfortably cut into the beef without using excess force, and shredding it. I asked for a sharper (steak) knife and was told that was all they had. While the meat was juicy, it was extremely chewy. I even questioned whether it was filet mignon, because it did not look and behave like it. I was told it was. If that was the case, could it have been a bad cut? This substantiates why I am leery about ordering meat pieces. Amongst the other items, the thick creamy yoghurt did not disappoint. Same with the grilled onion and tomato. The saffron rice is always fluffy and abundant. The green salad was crisp and refreshing. Take home message? Looks like I will have to skip the Shish Kabob and stick only with the koobideh, if I am ever in the mood for skewered grilled beef.
