Array 36 set the duck on fire! Private Room with bathroom was a nice touch. Great restaurant for high quality authentic Asian dishes. 1. Truffle Chicken 2. Peking Duck 3. Braised Pork Belly with Quail Eggs 4. Chicken Soup 5. Steamed Fish 6. Fried Shrimp 7. Yuzu Jelly Fish 8. Beef Ribs The entire experience was elevated from start to finish. This is a Chinese Restaurant focused on upscaling traditional dishes and such a great night to celebrate!

I came with my family for an early Fathers day dinner. We made a reservation and originally opted to do a private room for 8 people and they mentioned the minimum spend for private rooms is $600 + a 20% service fee charge! We didn't come super hungry so decided to a regular table instead. I've been here a few times previously and always thought the Duck show was a crowd pleaser so I've been wanting to bring my parents here! Food did not disappoint - Not too salty but flavorful and beautifully presented. Highly recommend the duck! The smoked duck is my personal favorite. The crispy prawns are also delicious.

Came here for my mom's birthday, but the service felt a bit disappointing. We called ahead to confirm we could bring our own cake and were told it was fine, and that they would also provide a longevity noodle dish for the celebration, but that never came. We also found it a bit suspicious that the lobster only took about three minutes to be "cooked." When we tried to change part of our order shortly after placing it (within 1-2 minutes), they said it was already being prepared and couldn't be adjusted. We handed over our cake at the front, but it wasn't refrigerated, and later it was just brought out in the box without any presentation or candles, which made the moment feel less special. They did play a birthday song, which helped a bit to lift the mood. The decor looks nice at first glance, but up close it feels less high-end than expected. Also, the presentation felt lacking, some dishes looked a bit sloppy and not very appealing. Overall, it felt like an underwhelming experience, and I wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion.

Array 36 is perfect for any occasion. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you are coming to Array 36 on the weekends. -- Array 36 Signature Crispy Prawns in Plum Sauce [5/5]: The shrimp is crispy and I love the plum that they give on the side. I highly recommend this dish if it's your first time here! -- Shanghainese Sauteed Eel in Special Sauce [5/5]: The sauce is sweet and this dish is definitely on the garlicky side. -- King Crab [5/5]: We got the king crab prepared in 3 different types: typhoon shelter style, steamed with garlic and vermicelli, and steamed egg. My favorite was the typhoon shelter style, it had a nice little spice flavor to it. -- Braised Pork with Chestnut Japanese Yam [4/5]: I enjoyed the japanese yam, but I probably wouldn't order this dish again. -- Spicy Vermicelli Hotpot [4/5]: It had a nice spice kick to it, but it was a bit oily. -- Array 36 Signature Roast Duck [5/5]: I would have preferred more of the condiments on the side. It was my first time eating roasted duck with brown sugar, which was pretty unique. -- Fine Slice Jellyfish with Japanese Yuzu Sauce [3/5]: I had high expectations for this, but I probably wouldn't order this again. It was lacking flavor and was nothing special. -- Shanghai-Style Smoked Fish with Preserved Plums [5/5]: The flavor of this dish was similar to their signature crispy prawns. -- Snow Pea Leaves [5/5]: I love snow pea leaves and this was cooked perfectly. -- Sea Coconut Chrysanthemum and Snow Pear [5/5]: I loved this dessert, it was not too sweet. I would definitely get this again! -- Matcha Pudding [3/5]: The matcha flavor was not strong enough, I probably wouldn't get again.

This is my 2nd time here & both times, Hubby & I got to sit in the private room to dine with family & friends. Ambiance is nice, clean, & modern. This place is meant for larger groups to come & share family style food. Our recent visit here was last weekend to celebrate his friend's wedding banquet. We got the pleasure of trying so many different dishes. Wish I had the chance of capturing photos of every single dish we had but unfortunately, didn't get to. However, my experience here was wonderful. Every dish was presented beautifully & most dishes were seasoned well & not salty. My favorite was the smoked duck. The duck show is the crowd pleaser. Service was good.

Elegant high end setting, delicious slightly different food, reasonably priced for the value. For the 4 of us, we ordered the group set menu B, designed for 4-5 people for $118. It was very sumptuous, high quality, with dishes like roasted duck, jelly fish salad, and pepper steak. My favorite was the fish soup, fish was tender and soup was very flavorful. Tip: once we ordered the set menu, dishes came up very quickly, it's best to let them slow down the pace if you are not in a rush. We got way too many dishes initially for us to enjoy properly, after letting them know, they gladly slowed down. Only complaint is it's a bit hard to hear each other even at a small table of 4-5 people. Several private rooms are available for events, the large one required $1500 min expenses before tax & tip.

Going to make this one quick and simple. Service was okay (took some time to flag servers down) and the ambiance was great along with the decor. We ordered the String Beans, Array 36 Signature Roast Duck, Crispy Shrimp, and Lotus Appetizer. To sum it up, everything was okay or mediocre given the high price tag of the dishes. The string beans were honestly the best tasting thing to me unfortunately. There are many better Chinese restaurants in the SGV if you're looking for authentic delicious flavors.

The Pekin duck was my signature dish with the pancakes and side dishes all combined gives you that juicy wrapped chinese burrito taste The truffle sliced chicken was my other favorite dish. The sliced beef with daikon soup was delicious, flavorful and tender beef flavor. The soup was delicious Other dishes were ok, but the portion was kind of small comparing to other restaurant sizes . We ordered a set lunch of $98 that came with other vegetables dishes and dessert . Believes the size will probably feed 4 people. We were 6 in a party, so it was kinda small and not enough to fill our stomach. As for the inside it looks pretty awesome aesthetic and fancy feel. Service was just meh, I had to keep asking for the server to refill the tea because it was small and we drank a lot of water. Overall, it's worth trying for the first time if you haven't lol

It is a really pretty dining place. Perfect for date. High end Chinese Cuisine with pretty good environment.

Service was great! They kept checking up on us and refilling water as needed. Very attentive. Food was great. Huge portions and very filling.

Nice and clean Chinese restaurant with modern decor. The interior is nicely done with a classy look. Customer service is great. Everyone was super nice and attentive. They were happy to recommend and they do not rush you. Food wise - we ordered the Phoenix Flaming Peking Duck, we also ordered a bunch of different items like the Buddha jumps over the wall ( abalone soup ), Sous-Vide Szechuan Beef short ribs, the whole fried sweet & sour fish, Dan Dan noodles, snow peas vegetables, & Yangzhou fried rice. All dishes were amazing. It tasted very authentic high end Chinese food. The Peking Duck was served table side and some parts of it was served smoked. They do not serve hard liquor but they have beer and house wine. They do not have a nice wine list though - just the house wine by the glass and a maybe 6 bottles of thousands of dollars per bottle selection. I suggest bring your own bottle - corkage is $20. Expect to spend here. With tip for a party of 4 was close to $650. I definitely recommend this place. Call for reservations.

Perfect place to come with friends or family if you want to share dishes family-style. I've been here with friends and reserved the private rooms and I've also come several times with family. I love the dark ambiance and the overall vibe inside! There's free parking right in front of the restaurant and all throughout the plaza. The service is also great. Staff are always fast, attentive, friendly, and the food comes out pretty quick even when it's busy. Peking duck will usually be quoted a 45 minute wait but time passes by quickly while you enjoy your other dishes! My favorite go-to's are the yuzu jellyfish and the truffle chicken. Honestly I could come here just for those two dishes with a bowl of rice and be completely satisfied. The Peking duck is amazing and I love that it comes with brown sugar on the side. Super worth right now because they're doing a BOGO on the Peking duck (you just can't use the free coupon on a weekend, only weekdays).

Really enjoyed the food here and would definitely come back. We ordered the fried rice, duck, shrimp, and dumplings, and everything tasted great. The rice was a bit bland but other than that it's great. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly, and even without a reservation we were seated fairly quickly.

This is what I thought about the food we got. House Seafood Soup - Simple and clean soup. Good portion, and it was soothing to eat. Lots of squid. (4/5) Clams with Spicy Sauce - Large clams with tons of meat, and the sauce was fire. Always a good choice. (5/5) Crab with Salt & Pepper - Loved the seasoning, and the flavors were solid. (4.5/5) Thai Style Beef Stew - First time trying this, and it was good. A bit different, but the meat chunks were tasty and the overall flavors were good. (4/5) Sautéed Pea Sprouts - Nicely done vegetable dish. It's simple but refreshing with good flavors. (4/5) Fried Whole Fish - This dish was gone so fast because it was delicious. Nicely fried and not overly seasoned. (5/5) Signature Lobster - I feel like you have to get this here since it's their specialty. It's pricey, but in my opinion, it's the best and freshest lobster in town. Tons of green onions, seasoned well, fresh meat, and lots of lobster roe. (5/5) Service was good, and they didn't automatically add a mandatory tip for a large party. The total came out to around $364, which is pricey, but the food was phenomenal. Parking - Valet only, but they have street parking in front. I parked on the street since there were plenty of spots on a Wednesday, but I assume it gets busy on weekends.

This was my first visit to Mr. Dragon Noodle House…read more I stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night, and one thing became obvious almost immediately... This place is busy. The dining room was absolutely packed. Every table was full, people were waiting near the entrance for seats, and the energy inside was loud and lively. If you're looking for a bustling restaurant with lots of activity, you'll enjoy it. Personally... I'm more of a quiet-corner kind of diner. Unfortunately, I didn't find my usual quiet corner this time, but I managed to find a corner, and that was good enough. The restaurant has a modern Asian-inspired interior with black brick accents, warm wood furniture, hanging pendant lights, and a striking red geometric ceiling. It feels contemporary and spacious, although with a full dining room, it quickly becomes energetic and noisy. As soon as I walked in, a waiter handed me a menu along with an order slip to fill out while I waited for a table. It was efficient, but it also made the service feel less personal than I usually prefer. Once seated, everything moved very quickly. Considering how busy they were, I understand why, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being rushed through my meal. Now onto the food. Hot Tea ($2.00) Simple, warm, and exactly what I wanted on a busy evening. Xiao Long Bao (8) ($13.00) The dumplings arrived steaming hot filled with juicy pork and flavorful broth. They were the highlight of my meal. Spicy Beef Ramen ($16.00) Large chunks of beef sat in a rich, vibrant red broth alongside ramen noodles, vegetables, and a hard-boiled egg. The beef, however, was not as tender as it looked. Unfortunately, the broth was simply too spicy for my liking. The spice overwhelmed many of the other flavors, making it difficult for me to fully enjoy the dish. Subtotal: $31.00 Tax: $3.02 Total: $41.02, including tax and a $7.00 tip. Overall, the food was decent. The soup dumplings were the one dish that I enjoyed.

Thankfully, the taste lived up to the appearance. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It had a rich, smoky flavor and didn't rely on heavy seasoning or sauce to stand out. The lime wedges on the side were a surprisingly good addition and helped balance the richness of the meat. This was one of those dishes that made everyone at the table stop talking for a moment and just enjoy the food. A few key notes: * It looks like the restaurant is getting more customers now as our party waited 15+ minutes even on a regular weekday evening. * No free samples were offered during our weekday dinner visit. * Now each table has a tablet and customers can place orders directly via the tablet. Please note that the tablet only allows customers to place orders and customers will still need to flag down a staff member to request the check. * Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings (aka XLB) continue to be an S-tier item to order here. In fact I think they are some of the best XLBs I have had in Los Angeles and Orange County. Perfect dough texture and on-point flavorful broth. * For Chinese Burger, stick with the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Beef instead of the Kurobuta Pork as the beef provides a better texture & the pork tastes slightly greasy. * Stir-Fried Noodles with Angus Beef Brisket had a similar flavor profile to stir-fried chow fun but with a different type of noodle. An A-tier item. This continues to be a solid 4.5-star Chinese restaurant and it is still a better alternative to Din Tai Fung despite Good Alley is getting more customers.

I am not sure why my party and I failed to question this hahah. Anyway, we ordered the: - Beef Chow Fun: Very solid, not the best or the worst. Not too oily, yet had great flavor to it. I would recommend this! - Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings: I would highly advise against ordering this (view photo attached). It seemed like they coated the chicken wing in 10 layers of batter and did not fry it enough. Why are my chicken wings WHITE. Also, TOO SALTY. Eating straight MSG. - Butter Toast: Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very classic dish and cannot go wrong. All these dishes came with one free drink as well, could choose between HK milk tea, lemon tea, Chinese tea, etc. all with unlimited refills. The restaurant is so well decorated and very reminiscent of Hong Kong/ Macau. I loved all the details such as the mahjong tables and dominos underneath the glass. The service is also very reminiscent of HK, as in it is essentially non existent. Although the restaurant was not busy, we still had to constantly wave over the waiters. I like how consistent they are with the theme.

I do like to try new places. This is a good spot overall and I liked the food here overall. The wait for a table took a short bit but that might be a testimony to their quality and popularity for the demand to dine in. It's Cantonese Comfort Food.

The clams were fresh and flavorful with plenty of fragrant basil, the shrimp were perfectly crispy and well-seasoned, and the pork chop was tender and crispy. The on choy was fresh and cooked just right. The lunch specials are a great deal with decent portions, and the food came out quickly. Everything tasted yummy and satisfying. Service is ok even it is rush hours.

They have a lot of tables inside so it is great for small and large groups. The waiters were also fast even though they were busy. We ordered their Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Tofu, Beef Noodle, Shrimp w Walnut, and Vegetable w Garlic. We decided not to get lobster since it was pricey. They took our order pretty fast and gave tea to drink. The pot of white rice is extra $1 if you order though. And their menu book doesn't have prices for some reason. Only the to-go menu has prices. Food was served in a decent amount of time, around 15 minutes. And all dishes arrived close together so we didn't have to wait long. The kung pao chicken is so good! Not spicy at all and very nice and crispy with good seasoning. It tasted delicious with some rice. The beef noodles were also delicious! It had good wok taste and was very flavorful. The tofu and shrimp were also good. None of the dishes were too salty and all were seasoned well and in pretty big portions, though I don't remember the exact price since they took the receipt away when we paid. But the meal was very worth and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Such a yummy meal! I really enjoyed it! I am definitely coming back again!

Straightforward delicious Sichuan-style noodles dishes. This spot is very popular and after tasting…read moretheir dishes and experiencing fast, attentive customer service, I can see why. My sisters-in-law who live in the area highly recommended this spot when we were deciding on a Sunday dinner the night before we flew out. Among the four of us, we ordered: - Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) - Biang Biang Noodles: least numbing of the noodle dishes we ordered. If you LOVE carbs and not a lot of sauce, this one's for you! - Dandan noodles: this thin noodle dish is slightly more numbing than the Biang Biang noodles, but still bearable and tasty. - Chongqing Special Noodles: most numbing of the three! I had to pause eating this a few times as it was getting a little uncomfy! The noodles are side but thinner than the Biang Biang noodles. I liked that we ordered noodle dishes each with different noodle types, flavors, and spice levels. The Biang Biang noodles were respite from the Chongqing Special Noodles, while the Dandan noodles had the right amount of peanut flavor and "mala." We arrived 45 minutes before closing on a Sunday night (it was a holiday the next day though). We were surprised that there was still a line of people wait in for seats close to closing time! Thinking we weren't going to be seated, we decided to order for takeout. We ended up being the last party to be seated! The staff was kind to transfer our takeout orders as dine-in dishes! The staff had the right amount of customer service and attentiveness for a Chinese restaurant, if you know what I mean haha. For amazing noodle dishes, comfortable seating, and accommodating service, Chong Qing Special Noodles gets a solid five star rating!

We ordered the cucumbers, chongqing special noodles and you po noodles. Cucumbers and you po were relatively flavorless. Cucumbers weren't garlicky enough, and again, minimal seasoning/sauce. We ended up dipping them a bunch. You po also relatively flavorless. The noodles seemed fresh, but were a bit overdone and almost soggy. They were enhanced by the best of what we ordered, and that was the Chong Qing noodles. Decent flavor, noodles were cooked well, and nice portion of meat and bok choy. We asked for spicy, and it wasn't that, but the sauce/soup base definitely saved the other dishes. Won't be going out of my way to come back, accordingly.
