She said no pay here. I'm really torn on how to rank this buffet. A 3-3.5 star average is about right. It's not particularly close to my house; however, after receiving a 15% off coupon and seeing mostly positive reviews on here, we thought we'd give it a try. The place is huge and clean. Attentive workers are everywhere, making sure food trays are fresh and full, and counter tops and serving utensils are clean. Also, not sure the selection can be beat by other Chinese buffets. I'm guessing the selection is 2x what we get at our favorite Chinese buffet in Frisco. We started with the sushi, which looked a lot closer to what you see at a dedicated sushi buffet than as part of a larger Asian/Chinese buffet. Quality of the sushi was just fair. You could tell the quality of the fish wasn't the best, imitation crab was used, rolls had a lot more rice than fish, and overall taste wasn't great. At a sushi place, this would be one star. I'll cut them a little slack here. Most of the hot food on the buffet was good. Some was just fair. Temps were inconsistent. Some was hot, while others were tepid at best. There were a few dishes that just weren't great. Then we got to dessert, which looked like where Asian Buffet would set itself apart. Well, it did, but not in a good way. While the promise of a chocolate fountain with lots of yummy things to dip might've been good, the chocolate was cold, it didn't harden, and it was kind of gritty to taste. The little mini bundt cakes were soggy on the bottom, the flan was loose and runny, and the other tings just weren't great. Over the course of the meal, we went from thinking this was better than our regular place, to thinking that we'd come again if we were in the area, to saying that we're probably best off staying with our go-to in frisco. This is a good buffet. Service on the other hand is a bit slow. But worst part is I was followed and forced to leave a tip. I understand that leaving a tip is important at and I LOVE leaving tip.But if the service is NOT great please don't follow me and call me out in front of everyone and loudly say you need to leave a tip. read more

The food was amazing but the lady coming to pick up my plates was very interesting. We hadn't even finished eating yet and she gave us the bill and just kept coming over and hovering nonstop to see when we were going to finish.. after we put the card down she was quick to pick it up and brought the receipt. We hadn't gotten to put anything down for the tip yet and she again came to our table to see if we were going to leave and she noticed the tip spot was empty and told us to put a tip down. I was so shocked cause me and my husband were in the middle of a conversation. She just stood there and stared at us. I finally said okay and she walked away I of course being who I am put $0 in tip cause it was very rude and we felt so rushed the whole time. I wanted to see what the hype was all about and I realized that it was exactly like King Buffet in Plano except it was cleaner and fancier. I love eating buffets and I am glad there is one that is closer to me so I don't have to drive all the way down to Plano. This place has been open for a couple of weeks now and have been waiting for the crowds to subside. Went in at 3:30 pm with my son and was greeted with a "now serving dinner $11.99" sign they were taping to the hostess stand. My thought was, well at least maybe I will get crab legs! I did and have never seen smaller ones. I am really not sure what kind of crab these were. When I broke open the legs, and I stopped at six, I found empty crab legs or legs with gray meat that was rotted away. I complained to the waiter who smiled and said "thank you". I don't think he understood what I was telling him. Before I got back to my table, I searched high and low for drawn butter to eat with crab legs, there was none. I next tried some grilled chicken on a skewer that was ice cold. I saw "steak" on a large chunk of beef that was clearly pot roast. Some very strange looking dishes with baked salmon and cheese to name were featured. The traditional ones I tried were quite bland. I will say that the hot and sour soup was very good. It looked clean in there also and the shrimp was fresh. Fried plantains were a nice surprise though they were thrown on top of the fried biscuits. The music was loud and was some sort of techno dance music and appeared to be coming over an fm station that was fading in and out and became quite annoying. The tables were small and the chairs hard. No booths. My son complained to me about the music and the food. He is quite the eater usually and I am at home now fixing him dinner. When I checked out I repeated that the crab meat was rotten and I got an indifferent look and was told "I will tell my manager" and I was charged full price, was not told they were sorry, etc. I seldom write reviews or even complain in a restaurant. I just don't go back. The fact I complained twice and told the world should speak volumes. read more

It's a Chinese Buffet, period. Anyone acting all uppity about it need to remember what it is and quit being so dramatic. We, as a family, love it. We go for our cravings of the classic buffet foods, quick service, and cleanliness. My two toddlers love being able to see and choose all sorts of different foods, veggies, seafood, etc...Even when it's slammed, the line moves through quickly. You're given a number on a placard if there's a wait, so it's easy to listen for how quickly they are moving through numbers. We have gone three times now, and have never been disappointed. My favorite is the dumplings, my kids is the sushi and chocolate fountain, and my husband just loves everything lol. read more

Pretty good for a buffet. Decided to go for take out which is priced by the pound. At $5.25 per pound, that's a pretty good deal for me because I don't eat much. The price is different for Sushi buffet take out. There are so many options, I didn't even get to try everything. For me, the winners were the Asian fried pork (I'm sure that dish had a different name but can't remember what that was), orange chicken, house chicken and crab wonton. The Lo mein, chicken dumplings, and chicken spring rolls were alright. Didn't care for the stuffed mushrooms. Definitely need to go back to try some of the others! read more

Not sure why it's rated only 3 stars when this was packed on a Sunday at 1pm. Loved the soft shell crab, bigger than a blue crab and had lots of meat. The way they prepared it is one of my favorites and not your typical green onion stir fry. Everything was tasty and have my Mongolian stir fry mix is on point. Service was attentive, chinese chicken dishes were great and the hot and spicy fish soup was delicious. Scoop from the bottoms and enjoy the fish. read more

Typical Chinese buffet, nothing to write home about. It's a newly open restaurant and with an aggressive marketing on TV and newspapers, it's drawing lots of crowds now. The food quality is mediocre to say lthe best and I wonder if they could keep the same quality and crowds a few months after the novelty dies down. read more

Came in with a party of 5. guy behind the counter said hold on, let him check for a table. while he was gone another lady came and told us to follow her to the other side of the restaurant from where the first guy went. Them said sorry and took us to the side he went to. then said sorry, we don't have a table for you. have a seat for maybe 10 minutes. A few minutes later, they told us they were ready and walked us to the dining room, only to say, sorry, I was wrong, still no table. at this point we did complain some and ask them to please be sure before trying a fourth time. they said they were sorry, it was just very busy. We told them they should still be able to see if a table is empty before getting us all up again. at that point we waited about 15 minutes while numerous large parties of Asian families came in and got tables. At least 3 groups of 4, and a couple of groups of 6. We finally just got up and left. CLEARY racist, and now I see why they had plywood up on some windows. Asian Buffet was busy at 2pm during the week and the food was fresh on my first visit. The restaurant was clean and the staff was attentive. My issue was all the chicken dishes, which is mainly what's available...were chewy. They leave the skin on everything, even the boneless pieces and it makes you have to remove the skin out of your mouth. It got old real quick. Overall, the variety of cuisine available was good. Physical building and interiors were very inviting. This was our first visit. Our early expectations were disappointed. The layout of the buffet was very organized and easy to navigate. Staff was very attentive keeping each item refreshed. Staff also kept out drinks replenished throughout our visit. The food items were very disappointing. The spices used in the preparation were not what I have become accustomed to find in si liar dishes. The soup, stir fry, and spring rolls were all disappointing. We did not try the Mongolian or sushi or desert bar. I also did not sample the rice offerings. We won't return soon read more
