Great experience, with seamless and timely communication between AutoNation, my insurance company, and myself. They have an Enterprise car rental desk in the same building, so even picking up and dropping off the rental car was easy. When the work was done, my insurance company had already paid their part and all I had to pay to AutoNation was my deductible. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. They tried to charge me for my deductible twice, took weeks on an 8 hour repair job, returned my car dirty and empty on gas and their customer service girl, Mandie, is the rudest person I've ever met in my life. What a terrible experience this was. read more

Good communication, but poor work. Some lady hit my car and after 6 weeks of it being at Autonation, I got it back. They had to work on the airbag deployment system, driver seat and the rear of the car that had the main collision. I picked up the car and got home and realized the parking brake was no longer working. Had to take it back and they fixed it quickly. Kevin said that something was not connected. After a couple of weeks, I get a red light saying my seatbelt is off and another red light saying the air bag deployment system was no longer working. Took it back and Kevin said it was an easy fix. I had also told them that the driver seat needed to be repaired because after the accident, the seat no longer went back to its original position. They said they addressed that. Today as I was cleaning my car, I see that there is a whole metal bar under the driver seat completely unfastened and just unscrewed and sitting there. I talked to Kevin over the phone and asked him how hard it is to just do a quick inspection after their work to see if everything is working? He just said I needed to bring in my car again. This is very inconvenient and a waste of my time. I can't be driving to Addison every time. read more

Bankston takes no responsibility for you vehicle while it is in their care. They had my vehicle for 5 days and when I called to check on it all they said was that it had been damaged and they where not going to take care of it. I can't believe BMW of Dallas, who has exceptional customer service, would use this company as their body shop. I will never use them and would not recommend you do either. read more

I was hit in a private parking lot and their insurance recommended AutoNation since it was near my office. I met with Dan and he was so helpful in explaining everything to me. He called me along the way to keep me updated on the process and my car was finished earlier than expected! The insurance found me 10% at fault (which is ridiculously stupid) so I had to do a copay of 10% of the repair and rental. The repairs were a little higher than the original quote due to additional paint that had to be done to match my door to the new bumper but Dan suggested I pay with a credit card since they would have to file for an adjustment for the difference and if the insurance accidentally overpays the claim, they would just issue me the refund! I'm not counting on it but it was a gracious offer. Great service beginning to finish, and I got my car back like brand new - they even cleaned the interior! Very happy and would gladly use them again. read more

If you work for an insurance company...this is the place for you!!!! They have their noses so far up the .....pocketbook...of the insurance company, it is hard to believe they are supposed to be working for you, the client. Before they even put the car up for inspection, they searched for microscopic scratches and claimed prior damage. Then wrote up an estimate stating the accident caused only minor damage and they would repair the existing panels (not replace them) but what they considered to be "minor damage" would take 2 - 3 weeks to fix even though they couldn't even claim they would need to wait for parts. I had already waited 2 weeks just for the estimate appointment. The rental car company inside their office provided a filthy car for the 1 day that I left my car for inspection.....I picked up my car promptly and brought it elsewhere as I would never allow them to work on any vehicle I owned. If I could give less than 1 star...I would!! read more

My Civic was involved in a hit and run accident and our insurance company chose this for the repair shop. Dan was great with communicating everything that was happening with the car from the time they received it to when it was ready, which was 5 days ahead of schedule. I will not do any business with Autonation Collission Center in Addison nor buy any Autonation services in that respect in the future. Employees Bad Attitude I decided to take my wife's car to Autonation Nissan because I had not-so-bad experience with their Nissan service center in Dallas before. After an accident, when you talk to somebody, you expect a little of empathy from someone from whom you ask for help. The receptionist to whom I spoke first to get some information was so rude to me. I asked her many times to be patient to listen to what I was looking for before she understood and transferred to a Collision Manager. The next person to whom I dealt with is Kevin, an Asst.Collision Manager. He is an utterly arrogant person. Unfortunately, I found out about his bad attitude after I signed the contract. Irresponsible agents It took a month to get my wife's car back after first I contacted them. Initially an agent named Scott asked me to bring the car in. Later I was told he was in a training. I wasted two days waiting on him. I had to then deal with Kevin who brought a sheet of paper to sign - that's all he was interested in. I had to keep calling him numerous times before he told me he sent the supplemental paper to Geico, but Geico did not receive the quote at all. After seeing his lack of response and bad attitude, I decided to pull my car back. Then Kevin threatened me with restocking fee and storage fee for the car. He told me he has all the parts in and ready to start working on it. I started following up on this, but after three days I visited the office and spoke to his Manager. He had an invoice on his desk and told me, I have to pay $1200 to take the car back from their lot. I visited my car to see what is this $1200 bill for? To my surprise, they did not do any dismantling of the car and the Manager had no idea about what was that amount for. The story Kevin told was absolutely wrong. It took 2 weeks to get the parts. Sorry to say this, once your car is in their lot you are stuck. They delay responding to you, so in the fear of paying their hefty fee, you end up repairing the car there. Irresponsible managers I had to deal with few Collision Managers after I could not deal with Kevin. The managers are sweet talking, but they don't do anything special to take care of the situation. They don't return calls most of the time. However, they are not rude like other Asst. Collision Managers who work under them. I finally got the car back repaired after a month after I spoke to AutoNation corporate office and complained about the delay. This is only part of my experience. I have yet to find out whether they have completed the work as per the work order or they over charged me for parts. I will post in a different review about my experience on that. read more

Based on the reviews, I was weary of having my car repaired here. BMW of Dallas uses this collision center as their main repair shop, so that immediately help build the trust. Every phone call and person I've dealt with face-to-face has been friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It has been incredibly inconvenient being without my car, having to drive a rental, and dealing with the uncertainty of the outcome of the repair. Upon visiting the shop to pick up my car in the beginning, I wasn't satisfied with the state of the repair. Jack was great about everything. He listened to what I wanted and shared his feedback as well. He stayed on the repair until it was completed to the best it could be. His attention to detail, honesty, and customer service, in addition to the rest of the staff, made a big difference in my experience. I'm so glad to have my car back and can't wait to return the rental today! I would definitely have my car serviced here again and recommend the shop to others. read more

My experience here was the worst I've ever experienced. If you are looking for a collision center or body shop that will be helpful, resourceful or guide you in the right direction this is NOT the place to go. The moment I arrived the receptionist was not welcoming. She simply asked what I wanted and flowed with insurance or not. I let that go maybe she's having a bad day. Then Ian arrived. He seemed to be in high spirits but the moment we got outside to look at my car he simply said, "Oh wow, that's 8,000 dollars." He didn't walk around my car to see the full amount of hail damage. He didn't take around back to actually give me a complete diagnostic or anything. I asked if I could simply have the hood replaced. Without hesitation, it was no we don't do partials here at Automation. No it's and or buts and directed me to another shop. He didn't try to help me or explain why or give me other options. Despite me having talked to another colleague of his at another location, that said they could and gave me an exact price. I had high hopes to take my business to a reputable or so I thought auto repair place. But this Automation. Failed miserably. I will make sure to review them on every site and guide people NOT to come to this location or any AutoNation center. If I could give 0 stars, I would. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY! read more

Avoid this place and go somewhere else. I settled with two different insurance companies for my rear-end accident and my contact at AutoNation complained about having to work with two insurance companies every time I talked to him. The first time I talked to him, he led with "I've been on the phone for 45 minutes trying to figure out what's going on with the insurance." I provided all info when I brought my car in and could have explained the settlement details to him in 5 minutes if he had called me. Next conversation, he made it sound like it was going to take weeks to get my car fixed because he was having to deal with two companies. He kept pushing me to file a claim on my insurance because it would be easier for him to deal with and easier for the company to get paid that way. My attorney and my insurance agent's claims specialist advised me to continue with the other two insurance companies since they had both settled and sent me checks, and it meant no deductible for me and no raise on my premium. When I decided to go elsewhere, AutoNation wanted to charge me $45 to take my car back to the dealership where I dropped it off. Thankfully the dealership waived that fee for me. In summary, AutoNation wanted to take the easy way out and they didn't like that the insurance companies were paying me directly. My opinion of them is that they're lazy and may have questionable ethics in dealing with estimates and insurance companies. read more

Well, it seems the bad reviews keep coming in. I was hit by a service van that ran a stop sign. I brought my car to Autonation VW who then sent it to their collision center. Everything is good so far. I also told them that since I was bringing my car in for over $5,000 worth of body work that I expected them to update my nav system. At drop off they said they would see what I could do. Then 2 weeks later I talk to someone at Autonation VW who says my car is back and ready to go. I return my insurance paid rental car and get dropped off at the dealership only to find that the collisions coordinator has not received confirmation of payment and cannot give me my car. He also says the insurance company has not been calling him back but of course I point out he is calling the wrong insurance company. At this point I am livid because they will not give me my car and I do not have a rental car. To top off the bad news Dieter tells me they cannot update my nav that I will have to do it myself. If I can do it I am sure they can too. Dieter arranges for enterprise to pick me up again but when I get to enterprise they tell me I will need to rent the car under my name because the insurance case is closed on their end. I am now stuck at an enterprise rent a car with no car so I had to take a $20 cab home. The next morning I tell the collisions guy this and all they say is sorry and that all they can do is apologize. ALL THEY CAN DO IS APOLOGIZE FOR WASTING 2 HOURS OF MY TIME SHIPPING ME OFF TO ENTERPRISE WITHOUT A CAR! APOLOGIZE AND TAKE THE INSURANCE MONEY! DO NOT GO HERE! read more
