My first time here, I thought it would be like the Ba Le in Arlington but NO extremely limited menu here. I ordered bun rieu and the older male server (he might have been the owner I can see him talking to his wife in the kitchen) told me they only have pho or hu tieu and they no longer make sandwiches. I have included the menu pix, pretty much anything with a line for the price they no longer have, so you are limited to just a few items.

Had the shrimp spring rolls at Ba Lẹ 1 Vietnamese Cuisine and they totally hit the spot! Super fresh, packed with flavor, and honestly one of the best I've had in Dallas. I'd go back just for those rolls

Large Pho #1 and spring rolls I ordered to-go but couldn't resist

Quiet little spot which I loved, service was great and their pho was very yummy! Also tried their spring rolls which were delicious. I definitely recommend!

I found this little joint on my way to Rockwall for a meeting. Came here for an early lunch on a Monday, only another table of customers inside. The family owners in the back is cooking and preparing for the day. This place is old, and it is a hole in the wall type of place. Old furniture, a bit dark inside and the bathroom has sticky floors. But guess what, that means you are here for their food. Ordered the special pho combo. Food came out quickly. The large bowl is not that big, more like a medium for me. The broth was a bit clearer than I would expect but after a quick taste I was blown away! Packed with flavor! Love the broth. The meat quality is not bad and the noodles are solid. A $13 lunch with a bowl of high quality pho. I will be back if I am near by.

It's hard to find authentic good Vietnamese foods in N. Texas, so I told my boyfriend we had to try this place for lunch because the ladies at the nail salon that we were at all highly recommended it. My daughter was craving for pho, so we went here. She ordered the pho tai, my boyfriend ordered beef stew noodle, and I ordered the seafood with pork clear noodle soup. We all loved it. I had noticed other dishes that I haven't found at other restaurants as well, so we will definitely come back. My daughter said the pho was amazing as well.

Now that I've tried over a handful of Pho places in DFW, I can more confidently say that this is one of the better bowls I've had. So, let me just tell you my experience. I walked in and looked around. I saw the bakery checkout to the right and seating to the left, but other than that. No real clue if I was supposed to seat myself, wait to be seated, and no one really came out to tell me anything right away. As I looked around like an idiot the lady at the cash register yelled at me (she wasn't close and didn't walk around towards me, thus the yelling. haha) asking if I was dining in. I replied, yes and she screamed for me to sit anywhere. As someone approached me, they asked what I wanted. When I asked for a menu, they seemed to almost turn away as they said no. So I quickly replied with Pho before her back was turned. (This is off to a weird start) The place wasn't the most appealing, but not falling apart. Maybe more so dated and faded. The Pho came out pretty fast. The broth looked okay, nothing special. After the first taste, it surprised me. It was better than good and way better than it looked. I almost didn't want to add anything else to the bowl (but come on, you always gotta add chili oil). All the meats were good, the broth was delicious, and rib was so soft all the meat came clean off. The Broth was so full of beef flavor and somewhat oily (oil released from the bones during the cooking process). Definitely can tell it was boiled for hours and hours with no artificial beef flavoring. The broth was very clear and nothing settled to the bottom of the bowl after finishing the noodles and meat. Although I did not order a bahn mi because I was so full from the large bowl, I hear this is the place for them. Sometimes you have to go to a hole in the wall place to eat better food. This place ain't boujee or even the best service, but it's probably a better bowl of pho than most places I've had in all of DFW and US, if I'm being honest. I'd recommend this place to others, friends, and family.

Driving through north Mesquite and was craving pho. Found this hole in the wall in the area and decided to give it a try. The guy behind the counter is a little slow to take the orders but he was nice and the food came right out. Food was definitely decent as the prices were great! The broth was light and good but it almost tasted like a chicken broth instead of beef broth for my beef pho? I could be mistaken but it was good nonetheless. You can't beat the prices that's for sure.

I love to support family owned operated businesses. This place is small and not fancy, but it has excellent food. We come here often, and the chicken pho is so good.

I have had better spring rolls ( the strip of pork was really dry- not much shrimp) but the pork vermicelli was tasty.

Well, talk about a hidden gem. I had this place bookmarked but could not tell you where I heard…read moreabout it. It is basically a little luncheon oasis dropped right in the middle of a gigantic industrial park. On the drive over I was seriously questioning my Yelp choices. It is that kind of location. But trust Yelp and sometimes you are handily rewarded, which we absolutely were. We came after a few hours strolling around at the Botanical Gardens, so we rolled in around 1:30 and there were still plenty of people there. I can only imagine at noon this place is packed, and honestly it should be. My biggest complaint is the menus. There is one above the counter that does not include everything, and then a different, more complete version if you scan the QR code at the table (But 2 different navigations even on the website with slightly different menus). Do yourself a favor and look it up ahead of time so you are not standing there making panic decisions. There is a half sandwich and half soup combo (Not on the board but online menu), which is definitely the move. I got the pozole, which you should absolutely order, and a half grilled cheese on their housemate sourdough. Normally not my go to, but I was trying not to be completely stuffed since we had dinner plans. And they bake their own sourdough, so I had a strong feeling it would be great, and it delivered. Toasty and melty, American and cheddar. My husband got the southwestern wrap, and my friend went with the half club and half tomato soup. She immediately regretted not getting the pozole and the half birria sandwich, which tells you everything you need to know. Also need to mention the snickerdoodle. Not much to look at, kind of humble, but it completely makes up for it with flavor and that perfect soft texture. Go ahead and get the cookie. You are not here to make responsible decisions. Bottom line, it may feel like you are driving into the middle of nowhere, but keep going. This place is worth it.

SHOUT-OUT TO KRYSTAL!…read more My sister-in-law celebrated her 60th birthday today with a surprise party, and we had about 40 family members attend! We all arrived between 12:30-12:45, and the party started at 1:00. I have to take a moment to give credit where credit is SERIOUSLY due! Our waitress, Krystal, was absolutely AMAZING. And when I say she was doing EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING! She was the only person serving us, while also having two other tables outside of our banquet room. Yes, our food took a while to come out -- but that was absolutely NOT Krystal's fault. She was working her butt off and doing everything she possibly could. She was attentive, constantly checking on our drinks, making sure everyone was taken care of, and paying attention to every little detail. It wasn't until toward the end of the party that I realized she had been handling this entire situation ALL BY HERSELF. She told me that the banquet hadn't even been put on the manager's calendar, so she basically got thrown into a party of 40 people at the last minute. And let me tell you something, KRYSTAL ROCKED THAT SH*T! Krystal, thank you so much for everything you did for my family today. You were kind, attentive, professional, and you never made us feel like we were a burden, even though you had been handed one hell of a situation. I personally hate Red Lobster and I don't even eat seafood, BUT my family will absolutely be coming back -- and I hope they come back specifically to see YOU! You did an incredible job, and I hope your management knows how valuable you are. KRYSTAL, YOU ARE AMAZING! Thank you for taking such great care of my family today! YAY KRYSTAL! YOU GO GIRL! Someone give this woman the recognition she deserves!

We happened to be nearby, so I called to check if they had corn dogs available (they had 9 left), so we drove on down. Location is easy to get to. You can pull up and turn on your hazards for service, walk up to a window, or eat inside the small dining area. We opted for car service for the vibes. Had my order taken by a really friendly kid, seems like a family owned and run place. We got fries, onion rings, 3 corn dogs, chicken strips, and a classic bacon cheeseburger, plus a large root beer. Fries are crinkle cut, good and basic. Onion rings are beer battered, very good. The hand dipped corn dogs are good if you like your batter heavier with corn meal, it lends itself to a very crispy corn dog (I liked it, the picky people with me did not like the texture). Chicken strips were picky kid approved, allegedly "frickin good". Bacon cheeseburger was a solid basic burger. Root beer was alright, think it would be great to get the float option. Now, here is where I need to just throw in that my niece got a corndog and fries... Some time into all of us eating our lunch, she told me there was hair in her fries, and I didn't believe her, so I took them from her and then I thought maybe it was just like burnt little strips of spices or anything other than hair, please, but no...thick, wiry little black hairs, and when the count was higher than 3, I threw everything away. Put me off from coming back, honestly, and it's a shame because I'm sure it was a one off. Other than the hair thing, everything else was great, or at least decent.
