WOW! We ordered the Paella Family Meal with some Yucca; and, really enjoyed it. We ordered and paid online; and, called the store when we arrived. The food was delivered to the back of our SUV, so the delivery was completely contactless; and, the food was delicious. We observed one idiot that parked nearby and went right to the front door; and, the staff refused him entry. When the manager brought out the food, he accosted her, thinking the order was his - even starting to get out of his vehicle; and, she told him not to proceed. He then tried to get her to talk to him through the window; and, she pointed to the sign informing him to call. Some people just don't get it... SMH. We filled out the online survey giving the restaurant, food, and staff the highest marks. We really appreciate what local operations are doing for us, while we shelter in place. Still my fav chain restaurant What did I get I got the 4 Jamaican whole wings and also the chips and guac. The wings you can get it in 4 or 8 and it doesn't come with any sides. I got the 4 wings, these are whole wings. The wings are good and I didn't need the sauce (Im not a saucy person anyways). The guac and chips were also good, the guac didn't taste like it was a mix from powder, there were actual avocado pieces in the mixture. The chips were tasty and colorful and you can get more if you finish them before the guac! Great for sharing. Environment Just like any other Bahamas Breeze, this one was similar. There is an outdoor seating area (no, there is no water) and there are also indoor seatings with tables or booths. There is a bar area as well. I wish that I could give 0 stars. Absolutely horrible experience. I made reservations to celebrate my mother's graduation. We arrived early, they explained that they could sit us at our reserved time. Either inside or outside. When they told us a table was available outside, they also explained that we had an option to sit inside as well at different sides of the restaurant. Upon sitting in the unbearable humidity for two minutes, the option to sit inside was somehow unavailable and it would be a 1.5 hour wait. There was too much back and forth and hearing different things from management. I asked if we could have drinks provided to us from the restaurant while we sat outside because of the inconvenience and management explained that it was not his fault that we were inconvenienced- there was a party who had been sitting for 4 hours. So I enjoyed three nice tacos. They were nice could have had more spice to them or rather flavor. The show was not the texture I am used to. You know what would really set these tacos off if you had a choice of corn or flour tacos. My friend had a meal that she stated the chicken was great I don't know cuz I didn't bum rush her plate but I have to take her advice for it. The establishment was clean the restroom was clean and the waitress was courteous and attentive. I really appreciated that she did not bring out my appetizer followed immediately by my entree this pisses me off when it's done that way. The price is a little high. The firecracker shrimp had no spice to it that excited my taste buds. The seafood chowder cup was very nice and creamy I would order everything again. This place is a great casual Friday night dinner with friends or family that won't break the bank. That's what I like about it. You won't get the best food you've ever had, but it's not half bad. After downing one or two of their amazing alcoholic drinks, the food is actually quite amazing. First off, their firecracker shrimp is always good. The conch fritters are a nice lil appetizer too, although I know they're not for everyone. The empanadas are not my favorites. They aren't bad, they just have a strong spice flavor of some kind that I can never quite put my finger on. The chorizo meatballs are a game changer though. Those things are delicious. I ordered the taste of Jamaica for my main, and their Jerk Chicken is pretty awesome. It's got a pretty nice kick to it, so it's not for the feint of heart. Luckily they provide this really sweet dipping sauce to go with it and it's really amazing. Honestly, the drinks are what make this place one of my favorite places to go. I'm a big fan of fun, island style cocktails and frozen drinks. I love their Bahamarita so much. Not only is it fun to look at, but you can barely taste the alcohol. It's just a really fun, fruity drink. Next time I come here I'm ordering 4 and taking an Uber home. Dessert-wise, this place is usually creative. I really wanted to try this coconut dessert, but unfortunately they ran out of actual coconut shells to serve them in. Seems to be a running theme at the Bahama Breezes I go to. They run out of popular items a lot. Depressing, but I ordered the Banana Nut Supreme instead. After my fair share of childish jokes about the name, I did enjoy it. If I had one complaint about it, I wish the banana was a bit more ripe. The food and service here were awful. I've eaten at different Bahama Breezes across the U.S. and this was by far the worst experience. It started with our sever Melissa who was not friendly, looked like she hated her job and didn't want to be there. My husband ordered the buttermilk chicken and I ordered a bowl of bahamian chowder. The chowder was so salty it was inedible. My husband's chicken was under cooked but he didn't realize it until he was on his second piece. What made it worse was our server Melissa was no where to be found after our food arrived so we couldn't ask for a replacement meal or order something new. I ended up eating the oyster crackers as my dinner waiting for her to come back. I timed how long it took for her to finally come check on and it was 35 minutes. By then I lost my appetite and my husband ate the majority of his meal. When I mentioned the issues about the food she simply asked "would you like to order something else?" She didn't seem genuine about making it right. I had to ask her to take take the soup off the bill since I literally only had two spoonfuls of it. Come to Bahama Breeze to enjoy a nice outdoor patio that sets the mood! My coworker says that he and his wife come here many times the night before going on a cruise, and I can see why. Island food, music, and decor certainly gets you ready for a relaxing getaway. This particular Bahama Breeze location has had consistent food and service each time I've visited. It's a favorite of my boss because of nice outdoor patio. You can definitely hear the cars going by when you're sitting there, but it's nothing distracting. There's usually about eight of us and I have been impressed with the service for a large party on a Friday at lunchtime. I've also had the pleasure of dining here during a weekday happy hour with a friend. The food, drinks, and especially the prices during HH were enjoyable. For lunch, I typically go with the fish tacos which come with a fresh side salad. Their food has never wow'd me, but I feel it's good for a chain. Dined here for a complimentary blogger event and have to say that everything was a tropical delight. Our group was treated like royalty buy the staff at Bahama breeze near the UCF area. I have frequently visited the location in Altamonte Springs with my husband for happy hour, but was eager to try this newer location over by UCF. My highlight of the evening was the Ultimate pineapple drink which is served in a carved out pineapple, topped off with dark rum , a fruit skewer and a paper umbrella. This is a true tiki fantasy drink that looks like something you would receive on an island retreat. I didn't know this but they also have wonderful margarita flights in small glasses so that you can sample different flavors. Bahamas Breeze was highlighting the "lava lava 'Rita" which was very refreshing, colorful, and topped off with an edible orchid. Check out my photos, it was so pretty! Some of the highlights for food entrées were the Crab stack with lump crab meat and shrimp, the steak with sweet potatoes and a chili Rienno, and the jerk chicken pasta with a perfect amount of spice. All of the food was better than I remembered with tropical flare, beautiful presentation, and lots of flavor. I've been here a couple times and have to say that this place is definitely A-OK with me. So far I've only ordered from the appetizer menu, drink menu and had outside seating. Thus far, the service has been good each time. During this last visit, our table shared the beef empanadas (4), lobster and shrimp quesadilla, jerk shrimp (comes with bread, reminds me of shrimp scampi only with Caribbean spices) and habanero wings. Everything came out hot and tasted good. My only service complaint is that no one ever checked if we wanted water refills. Bahama Breeze has one of the best happy hours ever. So many amazing drink specials (including $5 mojitos all month this month, awesome!!) and half off appetizers. This time we went in just for happy hour. We shared four appetizers- crispy onion rings, Jamaican wings, firecracker shrimp, and beef empanadas. The onion rings are a big portion of thick rings served with a citrus mustard that compliment the flavor perfectly. The wings have a great crunch from the skin and are seasoned wonderfully. You can really never go wrong with those firecracker shrimp, they're always my go-to appetizer. And then beef empanadas have a great kick and amazing flavor with such a great fluffy texture from the empanada. I got a $5 frozen Bahamarita, a frozen margarita with I think four different flavors and cactus juice schnapps. I could probably drink them all day if I wanted to. They're fantastic. We also got a $5 raspberry mojito which packed a big punch and tasted great. If you're looking for a more intimate date, sit inside. If you want something more laid back and breezy, sit outside. Outside also has live music during nights. When it's busy it can get loud out there. The decor is bright and that with the restaurant music playing made me feel like I was on a vacation. Here to have nice dinner with the family. We started with the cheese bites. I am a yucca fan so enjoyed them. Some of the family thought a little dry, but I don't think they like yucca. The restaurant is clean and organized, but was dark where we were seated and had to use flashlight on the phone to see (saw others doing that as well). It includes half off appetizers and specials on drinks. I'm there! That night we ordered: Lobster and Shrimp Quesadilla, Coconut Shrimp, Jamaican Wings, and seafood corn chowder. Everything is mediocre - nothing spectacular. The two things that never fail me are the Seafood Corn chowder and Jamaican Wings. The chowder is hot, creamy and super rich. It actually has seafood inside. However, I do notice that they don't put fried shrimp on top of the soup anymore. Bummer.... The Jamaican wings are tasty too and never fail to be delicious. It comes out crispy and tender on the inside. It also has a habenero sauce on the side which I can live without. It comes out looking dark but I actually like it more on the charred side to pump up the gas to go to flavor town! :) The rest of our order didn't really garner much attention. The Lobster and Shrimp Quesadilla is kind of like a joke. As an original appetizer it was like 12 bucks - maybe they skimp on it during HH. My cousin and I stopped by this location for a bite and some drinks. We took a seat at the bar and our drink order was taken. I ordered a tropical drink with rum, pineapple, creme de coco, and nutmeg. It wouldn't be a drink I would notmally order but it was very good. We sampled their beed empanadas. They were served hot and crispy. The two dipping sauces where very good but the fruity mango salsa was awesome. I ordered the shrimp and grits for my entree with the house salad. The house salad was very nice and looked very appealing. The dressing was incredible. I wanted to take a bottle home but they dont sell it. This rating is primarily based on the fact that I organized a work event here for 50+ people and I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism the staff showed. Two weeks before the event I asked if I could reserve a section of the patio for our event and they were happy to assist me, informing me of various options as well as suggesting how to set-up the invitations which they didn't need to do but they did and it worked really well. The day of the event, the staff again was extremely helpful, and I still can't believe how everything had been timed so perfectly that all of us got our food on time, hot and delicious. I thought for sure that there would be a handful of people waiting to get their food , or that orders would get mixed up, but none of that happened. There were people always coming by to make sure that everyone was well taken care of. I had the chicken and fruit spring salad; very tasty. A co-worker let me try his chicken with cilantro crema. It came with a side of cheesy mashed potatoes and it was REALLY good. Their black bean soup is probably the best I've ever had which I honestly wasn't expecting. If you're ever planning an event, I highly recommend you give this place a try.
