I looooove Vietnamese desserts. I have tried Bake & Che in OC and I'm glad there's a more accessible location for me in 626 I ordered pandan grass jelly for myself and an avocado che for my grandma. Their coconut milk is SO good. The jellies had a good texture. My grandma loved her avocado che. I do wish they use crushed ice instead of nugget ice The line was quick and our desserts came out quickly. read more

A much craved modern take on traditional Vietnamese dessert that is a welcomed addition to this area of Rosemead that is turning into the Little Saigon of 626. The store itself is in a plaza with plenty of parking and is a great casual spot to eat some dessert with family, friends, or a date. Service was wonderful and they explained everything, and hopefully it continues to be so after the first weeks of grand opening. I got the Special Che (Dac biet) and it is a wonderful take on her traditional che ba mau (3 beans). It's enhancing the traditional desert with flavors of durian and peanuts that creates a great flavor! All the jelly was soft, tasteful, and the milk part of the dessert had a nice thickness that makes it not feel like it's watered down. I highly recommend you try and I will be back to try their other deserts, drinks, and baked goods! read more

What a great place for a refreshing light dessert. Had the house special with jack fruit, white and red bean, mung bean, panda, and an assortment of jello. It was such a delicious treat. A great and authentic Vietnamese asset to the community. Love the baked goods here. Really reasonable prices, and I like that you can order online. The pandan was tasty! I'm not a huge durian fan, but even that was pretty good (my durian fan friend really enjoyed it). The che looks really solid, and I definitely will be trying it out next. However the front staff was not attentive to customers waiting in the online pickup counter.. no acknowledge of customers, the customer had to ask for their attention in the order line and the food was already waiting there. This place is soo good. I love their dessert drinks but always out of their desserts when I go. I have ordered online and in person before but recommend online if you are going during peak times. I placed my order and still had to wait after the time it said it would be ready to be picked up. I ordered the Thai Dessert with half sweetness and really liked it except for the large Jell-O pieces which didn't have any flavor, just added color to drink. I ordered the traditional three-bean dessert and the Thai dessert special. Both were really good, and I'd definitely come back. I liked that you can ask to have the ice packaged separately, which is great because I never really liked eating the three-bean dessert with ice getting in the way. This is obviously personal preference. I recommend downloading the app to place your order in advance because it saves you time waiting in line. Tip: The app said my wait time would be 30 mins but it was much shorter than that. It was probably only 10 minutes. But if you don't pick up your order in time, they will just place it in the fridge until you come. read more

Been going to davien coffee next door for awhile now for matcha. But wanted to check out bake & che next door today. I placed an online order for the sampler and some jelly! It was really busy even on a Tuesday afternoon. But online order I waited at pickup not too long and was able to get my order. The longan jelly is very good and also their items are at a fair price too! Definitely recommend but again same issue as davien the location does lack parking and would recommend to park on the street since it's easier to leave. Inside is new modern and clean. But a bit small considering a lot of people. I look forward to trying their dessert/drink next as I did want to try that and saw a lot of people getting them and they looked delicious! read more

So happy this Bake n Che opened in my city! Any dessert place that doesn't require a freeway to reach it, is a great place! I went during their soft opening and there were lines, luckily no longer than 20 mins or so. The desserts I ordered were the 3 colors, premium green thai tea and pandan grass jelly. My favorite was the pandan grass jelly. I'm gonna get that one everytime! The inside had nice decor, tables, chairs and a big glass display that showcased their baked treats too. I love this place. The desserts are so good. I'm trying to pace myself for how many items to try at once. I ordered three different desserts. The soy pudding is my favorite. I also got the avocado one and the house special. My mom loved those two and slurped them up. I want to try the jellies and baked goods next. I like their soy pudding better than tofu pudding with ginger syrup. Parking is a bit limited if you go during a busy time. It's next to Da Vien Coffee and they looked pretty busy. My family and I go to Garden Grove and Westminster frequently. We pass by Bake and Che in Garden Grove but never buy desserts or drinks there. Since Bake and Che established a location in Rosemead, I decided to take them there after work tonight. We entered the Plaza, and there were already a large number of people waiting outside the store. I wonder why people are so crazy and willing to wait in a big queue for Bake and Che sweets and drinks? I guess I'm the crazy one, too, because I made my family to wait in this ridiculously lengthy line with me. We waited for least an hour for our drinks, which were delicious. We asked to place the ice on the side so that we could add it ourselves. The only thing I have to complain about is that the cup is too small; a few scoops of che are already finished. It's expensive for the price. I'll be back to this Plaza again; I need to try Da Vien Coffee next door. If the line isn't too long, I'll come back to Bake and Che for more desserts the next time. read more

And the flan cheesecake. Amazing desserts! The durian pandan cake wasn't a cake but a layered jelly. It was delicious!! The other little cakes reminded me of mochi cake. The flavors were pretty mellow my fav was the taro. If you're eating em right away they ask if you want the cakes warmed up otherwise you can warm em up later. Only downturn? They ran out of the palm sugar cake but didn't communicate with the cashier so we were all purchasing them and they'd let us pay for it but when we waited for the order they asked us to substitute it with another cake which was annoying. Saw them do it for a few customers. They should warn us at the register so we could order more appropriately. Also tried the flan cheesecake!!! Which is apparently their signature dessert. The top is flan and bottom is soufflé style cheesecake! The flan is okay the cheesecake bottom was my fav! We were told to come here a try their Pandan durian layer cake. It was ok. I thought the durian flavor wasn't very prominent. I ordered C1 which is Che with avocados and it did not disappoint , my boyfriend pointing out that the base is good , creamy , cold, and refreshing for summer nights. The cashier asked us if we wanted something on top or on the side , I wasn't sure what he said because it was pretty loud but what I did catch was "if you eat it later on the side is better but if you eat it now you should get it on top", I replied with oh yea for sure top then, although till this day I don't know what it is , I'll go back to find out LOL. 2 drinks were around $16 which is expected and standard . They did not skimp out on the avocado for sure and I appreciated that. We waited about 15ish minutes after ordering. I would have to say that for 2 drinks , $16 the cup is pretty small and they don't have different sizes , just one size . I placed an online order on 3/11/26 for the BOGO House Special at 5:51 PM and arrived at the store around 6:30 PM to pick it up. When I got there, the pickup line was literally wrapped around the store and out onto the street. The cashier told me that it didn't matter when you ordered--you still had to stand in the same line. Meanwhile, customers who ordered in the store were receiving their desserts right away. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I didn't reach the front of the line until 7:30 PM, which makes absolutely no sense considering I had already placed and paid for my order online well in advance. To make matters worse, as I was walking back to where I had parked my car on the street, I noticed four employees standing around chatting and laughing instead of helping with the long line. Based on this experience, I won't be ordering from here again, and I would urge others to think twice before placing an order. If you weren't able to handle the high volume of orders, the BOGO promotion should never have been offered to the community in the first place. It ended up being a complete waste of time.
