Mediocre BBQ for a premium price. Take a pass. For $13 you get 1 or 2 dry, tasteless meats (and seriously why same price for 1 or 2 meat?!) and two sides that came out of a can. The sauce is terrible. The brisket is smoked somewhat decently but was pretty tried out. The ribs weren't meaty and were pretty tough. We've been here twice now and both times it felt like we'd been ripped off. $45 for 3 people to eat lunch here is just plain crazy. read more

This wasn't good. The ordering process was confusing. They don't give you the food right away but they don't ask your name, either. The result is an awkward little crowd waiting to see if the the plates that come up look like it might be yours. They left one of the meats off of a 2 meat plate. They were sorry. The bread on my sandwich was saturated in butter. Not in a cool delicious 'buttered and toasted' kind of way. It was barely toasted and too wet to even pick up. Again, they were sorry. I said that was fine and I didn't know about all the butter. They let me replace the bun with Texas toast. They brought it to my table. Soaked in butter. I gave up on the sandwich and just ate the meat. The sides were all bland. They seemed to have been made WAY in advance and were mushy and unseasoned. The pie. We got 3. They're in open ended paper sleeves and there are flies in the restaurant. The crust was dense and greasy. Not at all flakey. The filling was a very thin line of whatever. About the amount you'd put on toast. We just ripped them in half and passed on eating them after we got a good look. I feel like we paid $40 to learn that this is a place to avoid. This place is disgusting. There are a ton of flies throughout the entire restaurant, including on the food. The scalloped potatoes are very greasy and bland. The barbecue sauce tastes just like ketchup. All of the meat is bland and flavorless. The service was really slow, even though the food is pre-made. The whole place is filthy. I thought I'd try it one more time. Their food is good but they are very stingy with the portions. I ordered the 3 meat plate and a large tea. Total: 16 bucks and some change. I have an average appetite and left hungry and disappointed. Even the sides were ridiculously small. All is served on small styrofoam plate. I must say this is the worst restaurant in Weatherford that I have been to, the fried pie was absolutely terrible and overpriced. Just slap some canned refried beans into a pie shell fry it in grease and give it to somebody without any toppings ( I asked for salsa and got prepackaged nasty stuff ). Girls at front counter were really nice. Bbq sandwich was decent. Ribs, scalloped potatoes, mac n cheese and sweet tea tasted really old! Days old! We told them the tea tasted old. We were told it was made that morning. We said you may want to check it because it tasted funny. He just stood there for a minute looking at us and then sarcastically went over and took a drink. Visited on a Sunday evening. The staff were uninspired and didn't seem to care much. When we asked questions about what was in a few of the sides the employee taking orders had no clue, nor did she offer to find out for us. We had the sliced brisket and sliced turkey. The brisket was more like roast and didn't have much smoke flavor. The turkey was just ok as well. The potato salad was good (mayo based) and the baked potato was good but overcooked a little. The fried pies weren't very fresh, were all cold, and they were sitting out on a cart for you to grab as you enter the order line. The peach pie was good...but nothing spectacular. We just moved to Weatherford, and we love this place. My favorite are their ribs and love the tomato salad. Their sweet tea is real good!

Visited for a late lunch. Ribs were decent, brisket was average. If you close by, check it out. I would not go out of my way.

Baker's Ribs in Weatherford catered our PTA luncheon for 70. The food was FABULOUS and the teachers couldn't stop thanking us. The brisket was moist and the sausage was tasty, but not too spicy. Just went there for lunch. Just wanted a sandwich so I ordered the sliced brisket. I received my sandwich, the meat did not even cover the whole bun, was only about an inch thick and cost $6.28! At Dickey's BBQ you can get the Big Western sliced BBQ sandwich, three inches high of sliced brisket with a bowl of beans for $7.31! Plus we stood at the counter about 5 minutes before someone came to help us and then I get a cashier with attitude. The closest Dickey's is in Granbury and I live in Weatherford. And to top everything off the sandwich had very little flavor. I will go elsewhere for BBQ others should think about that also. read more

We only had the fried pies so I can't speak to the taste of the bbq. The pies were good, we had blackberry, peach and chocolate peanut butter. We asked them to heat them up for us. They're greasy fried pies.... Not much else to say. They're really good with some ice cream on top. read more

I never write bad reviews but after two hours of driving, I pulled into Weatherford. This location had a few people still inside and the sign on the door said it was open until 9 pm. Yet at 8 pm, I'm told "sorry we're closed tonight". ,I said the sign says 9 pm. If you are going to close, at least lock the door so I can't come in and be turned away or change the sign. read more

My reviews couple months late. We're on a bus trip traveling back from San Antonio stopped here for lunch. It definitely is pricey. But the food was good I had a bad experience with BBQ before so I was very pleasantly surprised by the food I had here. I had the jalapeno sausage it was yummy I like hot it was not hot for me. My fiance had the turkey sandwich I taste the turkey it was extremely moist it was good. The fried pies were okay not quite sure I expected of the fried pies so I didn't have much to be disappointed about. I agree it can it was pricey I guess it wasn't bad for me because I wasn't paying. The food was definitely tastey I would definitely give it a try. It is good barbecue. I think the best value was a sandwich and a side. read more

Thank goodness my fiancé saw the amount before she signed and questioned the amount. Ordered a pound of chicken to take home and a couple ribs just to try, the chicken was so dry and bland and the ribs were mediocre at best. My wife and I never have had too much interest in trying this place because of some of the reviews and pictures and I really wish we would have listened. Will never be back. read more

A friend from Waco told me on a trip to OK he was going out of his way to get some fried pies here so I decided to check it out. Glad I did. Had BBQ and fried pies. Took 5 fried pies home. I have lived in Weatherford most my life and eaten here many a time. I have honestly never had a bad meal from here. I'm not a fan of the sausage but that's a personal opinion in which no one is at fault, but the brisket is always delicious and the chicken is perfectly cooked with wonderful smokey flavor. My favorite sides are the German style potato salad and the green beans with almonds and bacon cooked in. Sooooooooo good! I don't know what these other yelpers expected when they stopped in a BBQ restaurant...in Weatherford....but this is seriously so delicious. They beat out mesquite pit any day of the week and put dickey bbq outta business! The sugar free cherry pie is awesome because it's tart like cobbler filling and the atmosphere is very easy going. read more

I have no idea how the food is - we can't get pass the employees to order. Long story short - when they say they close at 9:00 they close at 8:47 (maybe earlier all I know that's what they told us when we were in the drive thru line at 8:47). When they close at 7:30 they close at 7:23 again that is what we are told in the drive thru line at 7:23. So I'm not sure about the food but the clocks are wrong or the employees can't tell time or they close when they close. I call that bad management. They even have their hours posted wrong on this app. It states they close in 57 mins. Open till 9:00. Come on really!?! read more

Stopped in with my wife visiting Weatherford, saw their signs on the way into town, googled them if were open, I ordered 3 meat plate with 2 sides, my wife got a brisket sandwich and 2 sides, I got 2 ribs, 3 inches of brisket and a third of a chicken breast sliced in 3, the spicey beans were flavorless, the scalloped potatoes were just potatoes, cheese and grease. Small portions for a $27 bill, pretty disappointed. Was wanting to take a few deep fried pies home, didn't want to get let down again. Tip- don't bury or stack the 3 meats in one small partition, spread it out, add more and photograph it for your menu, sell that, not hide the disappointment! read more

I think my number one complaint is that the fountain drinks tasted moldy. They don't sell bottled except beer. The place is not clean and it made me nervous eating the ribs I ordered. I didn't get sick so I guess they were okay, but they tasted weird. There is a large area for seating but I think it's primarily designed for takeout and everything is served on paper. read more

Was disappointed to say the least. I can't speak about the BBQ as I have never tried it. We stopped to get some of the Original Fried Pie Shop pies, which are not original to Baker's, they are simply a franchisee. Went in & was glad to see a counter for the pies, so I wouldn't have to go through th serving line. Went over to the counter, pies displayed in a glass case just like I'm used to, unfortunately there was a sign that said I had to go through the serving line to get my pies, so I went over to the serving line. There they had a set of shelves with pies all laid out, in the paper sleeves, but they were where anyone could touch them & flies could land on them etc. so needless to say I didn't bother to get any. After reading other reviews of the pies at this location I'm glad I didn't. I love these pies and I think if I had tried them from here I would have been disappointed, so I loaded up and continued down the interstate to Cisco where my ever patient husband pulled into the Flying J truck stop so I could get my pie fix. read more
