    Braised Beef noodle Soup
    Sharon H.

Juicy dumplings, but tough beef noodle soup. Placed an order to go and was excited to try the Big Mac Crab Meat and Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumpling. This dumpling is huge and full of delicious crab meat and flavorful broth! The dumpling wrapper was also soft and thin. The beef noodle soup had a rich broth. The soup wasn't spicy at all. The chili oil was placed in a container on the side, which was great for my parents. The beef noodle soup wasn't my favorite. The beef was really tough. I don't think any one of us could finish chewing the meat. The noodles have a thick hand pulled texture. The entrée was extremely filling and a bit too heavy for me. Even without finishing the meat, the portion is pretty big. The service was friendly and efficient. Our order was prepared on time and they didn't miss a single dish.

First time coming to this place with my family. Food very delicious and tasty. What stood out was the Xio Long Bao is was full of soup like a water balloon that when I bit it it got splashed all over my face and clothes that's said everything about this tray if XLB right? The desserts were so cute in bunny shaped and tasted soft and chewy, just perfect sweetness! The other one was the brown sugar bao or coffee cream inside? I didn't eat that one so don't know lol The ambience was comforting and some big screen TV to keep you company while enjoying your food. Just a few accidents knocking down the silverware holder. May be they should get a more stable one? Saw that they have a giant XLB soup on the Ad making me wanna come back to try it. Will be back soon!

I was hoping I had found a place with good crab meat noodles. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Five stars for the service and two stars for the food. The crab meat noodles have no taste at all. It was like just the noodle and put on a cup of crab meat from the Chinese supermarket.

There seems to be a recent proliferation of chinese restaurants with great decor selling very good albeit small xlb dumplings with other tasty dishes. The beef noodle soup was good (not spicy) and the beef rolls slightly better - nice flaky skin with plenty of thinly sliced beef. The cauliflower was not unexpectedly spicy. I also like the free tiny apps of wooden ear, peanuts and seaweed salad. The staff was kind enough to move us out of the sunlight without our promoting so I appreciated that. This place is across from the sprouts on a small side street.

So good! Lots of flavor and they have unlimited conjee when you dine in! The service was greatB super friendly and the food comes out pretty fast! The restaurant is cute and very clean! Great for large family! We tried so many dishes they were great! My favorite was the wagyu dumplings! The noodles were nice and thick and the spixy wontons have a nice peanut sauce on the spicy wontons!

Modern, clean, cozy dumpling house. Attached parking structure. Complimentary appetizers (peanuts, seaweed salad, and black fungus) and self-served congee. We were there at opening hour (11:30 am) and it took an hour to get our 2nd dish. We only ordered two different dishes and two drinks! It wasn't even busy. We had to keep asking our server and they just nodded and never came back with a definitive answer. This was a complete turn-off. The massive pork soup dumpling was a fun tasty experience. It was jiggly and came with a straw to take in the soup. The pan fried wagyu buns were good but nothing spectacular. My milk tea was really sweet and full of ice. Since we ordered off a QR code, I didn't see an option to customize my drink. Other great menu items I would like to come back and try. Hopefully they will make some improvements.

We had the Kurobata Pork Soup Dumpling and it was amazing, although pricey ($10 for 6 dumplings). I got the Crab Meat and Scallion Oil Noodles. I was too hungry so the small quantity of crab meat was not a deterrent and the Noodles was actually really tasty! My friend got the Braised Beef Noodle Soup and he said the beef was too chewy and the soup wasn't good. He would not get it again.

So excited to have a new dumpling shop in the neighborhood! I'd been looking forward to this place since construction began, and once the signage went up, I was counting down the days to opening. As a bao and dumpling fan, I'm thrilled to support another local business. With any new or popular spot, I usually expect a wait, but we got lucky popping in around 6 p.m. on Sunday. Plenty of customers, but we were seated right away in a comfy booth. The restaurant is brightly lit with cool, modern artwork and design (I'd love to have that wave wall piece in my home!). The giant 4-foot bao character statue at the entrance is such a fun touch. There's a waitlist kiosk at the front if the place gets busier. Ordering is done through QR codes at the table: convenient, and our food came out super fast! (I have mixed feelings about QR code ordering, but the speedy service makes up for it.) Here's what we ordered: -Kurobuta Pork & Crab Soup Dumplings: Super flavorful soup, packed filling, so good! -Classic Fried Rice: One of the best I've had in a while. Not sure what made it so tasty, but it was a winner. -Shrimp and Pork Potstickers: That crispy layer was incredible. -Scallion Pancake: Classic must-have; perfectly done. -Garlic Sautéed Green Beans: Tons of garlic, super yummy, one of my favorites. -Big Mac Soup Dumpling: Fun to try, but not quite as tasty as the regular soup dumplings. Every dish was fantastic and earned my "happy wiggle" from the very first bite. Even though there's no specific waiter, the staff who brought out our food and took payment were both friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely dinner and are already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommend checking out this new spot if you're a dumpling lover.

I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while. I was finally able to go on a Sunday. To my surprise, half of the restaurant was empty. There's no hostess so one of the stuff members just pointed to let me know where I should sit. The food is ordered through the QR code on the side of the table. Here are the things I ordered: steam giant xlb, pan fried pork bun and fried rice cake. The dish I like the most of the fried pork bun. It's really crispy at the bottom and soft on top. The bun is not overly thick and it's juicy inside. My other favorite was the crab and pork steam giant xlb. Although the size of it was a bit smaller than I thought it looked in the picture but you can taste the crab and pork inside. It's also flavorful. As for the fried rice cake, I would probably pass next time. It's overly salted and texture was a bit off. The environment of the place is nice and clean. The food prices were reasonable I would say.

Took my father, mom, hubby, and the kids here for Father's Day lunch, and we arrived right before opening. There was already a line forming outside! Luckily, we were the second or third party in line and were seated immediately. We later found out many people had reservations, and several walk-ins were added to the waitlist shortly after opening. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, with seating for about 50 people, creating a cozy and lively atmosphere. It got busy very quickly after opening, and within a short time nearly every table was filled. It's easy to see why reservations are recommended, especially on busy weekends and holidays. We ordered quite the spread to sample as much as possible: XLB, the giant crab and Kurobuta pork soup dumpling, crispy pork with shrimp and chicken potstickers, beef rolls, scallion pancake, spicy wontons, shrimp and chive dumplings, sautéed string beans, jellyfish and cabbage, beef short rib noodle soup, and the pork and pickled vegetable noodle soup. Despite the restaurant filling up quickly, the food came out surprisingly fast. Every dish was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The soup dumplings were packed with flavorful broth, the spicy wontons had just the right amount of heat, the beef rolls were savory and satisfying, and the noodle soups were rich and comforting. Even the vegetable dishes were well-executed and complemented the meal perfectly. By the end, we were completely stuffed but couldn't stop talking about how good everything was. Everyone from the grandparents to the kids found something they enjoyed, making it the perfect spot for a family gathering. The food quality, efficient service, and overall dining experience made for a wonderful Father's Day celebration. We'll definitely be back again to try even more items from the menu!

My aunt and my lil sis wanted a place to have lunch and we decided to come to Bao Monster. We went on Wednesday, at opening and there was no way at all. They had a very nice open decor and there were plenty of seats. We were able to order a food in the app and the food came out pretty quickly. We ordered these five dishes. 1. Garlic Sauted String Beans 2. Crispy Beef Pancake Roll 3. Panfried Kurobuta Pork Buns 5 Pcs 4. Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumpling 5. Spicy Shrimp Kurobuta Pork Wontons Everything was really good. I love the flavor and how thin the skin was for the soup dumplings. I also love their green beans, but my favorites were the crispy beef pancake and the Panfried Kurobuta Pork Buns. There was plenty of beef in the beef roll, and the Pan fried pork funds were very juicy and flavorful. They also had free green bean dessert. The total came out to be around $66 before tip, which is pretty reasonable. I will definitely be back to try other items. Definitely put them on your bookmark to try!

Good service, very clean restaurant, and amazing giant xlb! I also love the stir fried eggplant- super fragrant and tender.

The beef noodle soup was the highlight of the meal. The broth was incredibly flavorful, and the noodles tasted fresh with the perfect amount of chew. The pickled vegetables in the soup were balanced just right and brought back a lot of nostalgia for my family and me. The dumplings were also very good, especially the xiao long bao. They were juicy and well-made. The filling was slightly sweeter than I personally prefer for savory dishes, but my family really enjoyed them overall. One unique touch was the porridge that's offered - self serve buffet style. On the day we visited, it was complimentary, though I understand it's available for a small charge (around $4 per person) on other days. My mom absolutely loved it--it felt like a comforting reminder of home. The service was good and about what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. The restaurant was relatively quiet when we visited, but there was still a bit of a wait when ordering and paying the check. Since it's a new restaurant, I imagine they're still working through some of the usual growing pains. Restaurant is spacious and clean, comfortable environment. Overall, I would happily bring my parents back, especially for the beef noodle soup. Parking is very convenient, with a parking structure located directly behind the restaurant in the same building.

When you arrive, be sure to write your party size on the sign-in sheet to secure your spot--there often isn't staff at the door to assist, so you'll need to manage it yourself. We visited after a long day and only had to wait about 30 minutes. Overall, the food was pretty average--or "mid," as the kids say--and I didn't feel it lived up to the hype. Here is a breakdown of what we ordered: * #26 Shanghai Style Chow Mein ($13.99): This was the standout. The noodles are thick, almost udon-style, and it's great comfort food. I would definitely come back just for this dish. * #1 XLB Juicy Pork Dumplings ($9.99): These were just okay. Not bad, but not great, and I'd likely choose somewhere else for dumplings next time. * #16 Spicy Wontons with Pork and Shrimp ($11.99): These didn't "wow" me, though I did enjoy the chili oil. I might order these again. * #62 French Style Beef Tenderloin ($17.99): The meat was very soft, but I've had better versions elsewhere, so this will be a skip for me in the future. * #83 House Special Fish Fillet ($15.99): It was very crispy with flaky fish, but the batter was quite heavy. It was enjoyable at first, but I got tired of it quickly. While the Shanghai Style Chow Mein is worth a revisit, nothing else stood out enough to make this a regular spot for us. It's a 3.5/5 experience, but I probably won't be back anytime soon.

Xiao Long Bao's flavor profile tasted more like steamed dumplings. Beef roll didn't taste as good as I remembered (probably because it had slightly less hoisin sauce), but it was still a good beef roll nonetheless. * Personally G4 Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon ($15.99) was a surprising discovery and an S-tier dish. Basically think of it as beef chow fun, but replace flat noodles with udon and add egg and bell pepper - excellent flavor profile. C3 Pan Fried Pork Bao (6 pieces - $13.00) were comparable to the ones from Kang Kang Food Court. 4.5 stars for the food with 4 items enough to feed 3 to 4 adults. I would say their noodle dishes like Beef Noodle Soup / Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon / Fujian Style Fried Vermicelli are slightly better than their dumpling dishes. Bump it up to 5-star for the excellent service. P.S. - There's another new location in Diamond Bar.

Second visit almost exactly 1 year later, and this place still doesn't disappoint!…read more We pulled in to the parking lot around 8pm on a Saturday night, and the very ample parking lot was packed to the gills. There are several restaurants in the lot, but Mr. Dragon Noodle House seemed to be the busiest with several groups of people waiting outside for a table. I called and was told they're open until 9pm, but if you arrive before 8:40pm they will still seat you and you can order and dine. He quoted a 10-20 minute wait which didn't seem possible, but we took a chance and placed our name on the waitlist. I love the tablets that most restaurants in SGV use. It's so efficient! The host handed us a laminated menu and an order form after we checked in so we could figure out what we wanted even before we sat down. They get high marks for efficiency! Within 10 minutes, we were called to our waiting table. They are a well oiled machine! As soon as a party leaves, a team of 3 smiling staff converge on the table to clear the dishes, clean the table and re-set for the next patrons. We ordered our drinks and a Popcorn Chicken appetizer. Hubby says this is the best popcorn chicken he's had to date, and he's a bit of a snob! No dipping sauces needed. He ordered "No Spicy" and they brought chili powder on the side. They fried what I believe was fresh basil with the chicken and it was so tasty, I would request extra next time! It's well seasoned and crispy. The portion is easily generous enough to share with 4 or more people. Their 0% Sugar Green Tea is served icy cold in a huge beer stein, and is so refreshing! A perfect accompaniment to the meal. It comes in many flavors as well but I didn't want anything sweet. We shared an order of their Hot Oil Shrimp, Pork & Cabbage wontons in a bowl. Delicious, but if you're not a heat seeker don't forget to request it "mild". Now for what I considered the star of the table, their House Special Beef Noodle Soup. This is a dish that I love and am always looking for the best bowl.. and Mr Dragon is high up there. Don't come at me, but we had heard the hype about Corner Beef Noodle House and tried theirs last year. In an evening without a crowd we were virtually ignored when we walked in and I had to accost someone to seat us. The soup wasn't nearly as good as Mr Dragon, and their service couldn't compare. I'll have to give them one more chance. There was no room for improvement at Mr Dragon Noodle House. Beefy broth, tender chunks of beef and perfectly bouncy noodles. Yum!
