A surprising find in North Myrtle Beach. In a coastal area where people usually flock to seafood restaurants you will find a delightful and delicious Bar-B-Que spot. It was moist nd had a hint of hickory smoke but it was not overpowering. The Bar-B-Que House has excellent pulled pork and you get to choose your favorite sauce. They have Lexington style, eastern NC sauce, SC mustard sauce and two versions of their house sauce, all right at your table so feel free to experiment. The Lexington sauce was my favorite. I recommend the red slaw, really good with just enough bite, perfect. The hush puppies were good but the cinnamon honey butter is awesome, you have to try it on a hot hush puppy. The restaurant was clean and the staff were great. Our server, Rocky, was excellent. I will definitely be back to try the brisket and ribs! read more

After a long day of sightseeing we were starving so we decided to give the Bar-B-Que house a try. They have several locations, we tried the Myrtle Beach one. My husband had the St Louis Rib platter with 2 sides; fried ocra and white slaw. He claimed the ribs were even better than the night before from Old South BBQ. I opted for the Beef Brisket Sandwich with 2 sides; mac/cheese and O rings. The sandwich came with slaw on it and had to be THE tenderest brisket I've ever had. Beer on tap and wine? $1.79 a glass!! We are vacationing with a family of 10 for Mother's Day weekend. We wanted to try good barbecue to celebrate and decided to try here because of the reviews. We ordered takeout online. We ordered the jumbo feast, chicken wings, other sides and a brisket plate. We got takeout and when we got home, we did not have any buns for the meal, we were missing our green beans as a side and they were out of chicken. They were unable to refund us for the chicken until Tuesday because the manager was not there. The ribs had definitely been cooked at least the day prior. Then when we called to complain about the order, the manager actually answered. The experience was absolutely horrible. I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant. read more

Decided to try some South Carolina bbq: what a speciality especially the lunch menu. I ordered the bbq tray, red slaw n puppies comes with large tea=$7.34 Awesome deal. Got the house bbq sauce sweet n thick yummy. A good portion of pulled pork which I ate literally no sauce-delicious. Ate all the red slaw, but not a vinegar person. COVID review. We came here after a morning of looking at houses and were starving. The place was really pretty cool and the server was fantastic. The beer was cold and the server brought us new ones quickly when she saw we were empty. Now I realize that I was in Carolina BBQ country and pulled pork is king but I had a craving from brisket so I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of collard greens. My wife ordered a chopped pork sandwich with Mac & cheese. Im personally not a fan of chopping a pork shoulder even for a sandwich. I just prefer to see it pulled and leave it as it is. Regardless, my wife said the sandwich was pretty good and the Mac & cheese was pretty tasty. The brisket was good but could have been a little juicier but other than that it was a good tasting sandwich. Good place to get some BBQ if you're in the area. read more

We have eaten here several times. The food is good but the service is awful. Tonight we went in at 7:45 and seated ourselves as the sign said to do. After waiting 5 minutes the waiter told us the manager said they weren't going to serve anyone else. A hand written sign on the door said they would close at 8:00pm. The waiter was very rude and said he didn't care what the sign said. I asked for the manager. I walked over to the counter and told the manager what the waiter said . The manager said if we were seated we would be served. The waiter said he would not serve us. He also told us he didn't care if we never came back. This place has amazing prices for the amount of food you get. I got a barbecue pulled pork sandwich with everything on it (mustard, barbecue, chili, slaw) and it was not too much not too little, toppings were not overpowering and the barbecue sauce was amazing. The Mac and cheese is also extremely good. The sweet potato fries were okay but I got them to go do that might've been the reason. They give you huge cups of sweet tea when you order at lunch with the special. The cups are bigger than my head. The best food I've eaten here so far and I've been here about 4 days. read more

Today was my first visit to the Bar-B-Que House. I had a platter with pork bar-b-que and ribs. Both were really good. I enjoyed the different sides. I had the homemade chips and the onion rings. The onion rings were ok, but the chips were really good. The meals came with hush puppies and had cinnamon butter on the side. It was a good combination. We went for lunch. It looks like a fast food place from the outside, but they have table service (ordering and delivered at the table). Inside, they have quite a few tables and booths. We both got the senior special for $9.50, which included 1 side, a beverage and 4 hush puppies. I got the pork barbecue plate and my husband got the pork bbq sandwich. Both had about the same amount of meat, but his had a roll with coleslaw on it (optional). Several types of sauce were on the table to make it the way you prefer. The barbecue was delicious, as were the hush puppies (with a honey butter spread to dip into). The collards were good, but very spicy. My husband chose potato salad as his side and said it was good. We had a delightful, friendly server named Paige who did an excellent job. Highly recommend the place for a casual meal. read more

Great service, clean restaurant and good food. This was our first visit to Bar-B-Que House and it was for a preorder / carry out order. We ordered online and it was a very easy process. A member of the staff even carried our order to the car for my wife. We ordered a good sampling of the menu to include wings, ribs, brisket, pulled pork and fried chicken. The fried chicken was more like a broasted chicken which is one of my favorite approaches. The rib sauce was sweet and good. The brisket got good reviews from the family. my bf and i eat at the surfside location of this restaurant every now and then, but we were out doing some shopping and decided to try this north myrtle location. the surfside location is okay, it's your average bbq. but this north myrtle location is so good. probably the best bbq place around. my bf said it was his favorite restaurant in all of sc ! it was super fast and tasted amazing. i got the lunch special pork plate, and it was very good sized portions. i couldn't even eat all of it. my bf got the brisket plate and he devoured all of it. i definitely recommend this location. read more

I got brisket, hot wings and bbq ribs with mac n cheese with salad. Nothing taste good enough to return here. The brisket came out too light with no flavor at all. It wasn't tender. The ribs were just ok and it had to do with the sauce. The wings were wings with Texas Pete. Macaroni and cheese was dry as well. GREAT STAFF. So friendly- all of them. We got the takeout. It was about ready in 10 minutes. Brisket Tacos with Baja slaw and chipotle aioli -awesome. Brisket was cooked perfectly and just the right amount of heat (spicy). Hickory Smoked Chopped BBQ Pork- ALSO AWESOME. The bbq sauce came on the side but the pork was seasoned and smoked perfectly didn't even use much of it. Do yourself a favor and get the corn nuggets and skip the fried okra. read more
