Favorite location thus far. Love this place. Most all ingredients are organic except for chicken and a few others. C'mon, make the chicken organic or provide the option. Customers will certainly pay extra for this luxury. Their fries (regular and sweet potato) are amazing, but I wish they would use a healthier oil (i think they use organic or non gmo canola...meh). Their burgers are awesome. Tapioca buns taste like real bread. Their salads are huge and top notch. Beers are larger than life! Great great place if you are non gmo conscious :) read more

For one of those organic, grass fed burger place, this place is great! The staff is super attentive and informative. The new butter milk fried chicken was awesome. Cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. The burgers were good too, I've had better. I ate most of it but it didn't blow my hair back. All the toppings and sauces were also great. Went for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Was quiet at 2pm but a good space in a good location. I had the Firequacker (hold the jalapenos, please), fries to share and the wasabi carrot slaw. Fries were great, love the dipping sauces available. The carrot slaw did not even have a hint of wasabi but I was okay with that because the burger really filled me up. Great size and delicious. Initially sat at a table up front but there were a few flies on the windows so we opted for a booth, which was comfortable. Had a 30 oz beer, which was only 10 bucks, a great deal for an afternoon buzz. Good service, solid burger, will try Bareburger again! read more

Their online ordering system is broken - it just doesn't work. I live 2 blocks away from them, yet when I entered my perfectly valid address in their web form (the exact same address I use for Amazon and for a thousand different purposes), the web site kept saying "outside delivery area". I called in and submitted the order, but that was much less efficient ("What's your first name? I'm sorry? Could you repeat that? I can't hear you." etc. etc.). I came to this bare burger with my family and 2 year old nephew on Saturday, May 28th. I had chosen this restaurant as I had a good experience the year before. I am giving them the lowest rating I could because the manager on duty Gabriel refused to accommodate our group of 5 adults and one child because he was insistent that he could only allow us to use a high chair in the one of the few occupied tables out of an otherwise relatively empty restaurant. The hostess was really nice and even worked with us in arranging a seating arrangement that was perfectly safe but Gabriel became visibly upset when he saw us sitting down and told us we couldn't sit there because it was dangerous for the high chair to be close to the window for reasons unknown to anyone but him. I was completely embarrassed and appalled about the way we were treated and left the restaurant. Luckily we found a place nearby the actually VALUED THEIR CUSTOMERS. I will not be returning here. People like Gabriel should NOT be employed in the service industry and most likely is a very bad manager. Bare Burger: please address this, this is not an isolated incident! read more

I was very upset to see that this place has gone from absolutely excellent to extremely disappointing. In the past weeks burgers are smaller, the gluten free bun is not as nice as the tapioca bun, and tonight we tried to go in for dinner at 9:24pm and we were told at the door that only delivery and take out. Staff very polite and helpful, food was quick the service was above average. The food was exactly as described and you can taste the quality in the ingredients. Service here is fast and attentive and it's kid friendly. However the space is dark and stuffy. The food is mediocre, not as good as past trips to other bareburger locations. My beef burger tasted closer to meatloaf, which is not what I wanted or expected. Given the many other places to get a good burger in the area I probably wouldn't return. read more

It was my first time here & my last time here. I asked the server what was spicy on the menu. I don't like anything peppery or spicy. I was assured that what I ordered would be fine. It wasn't. I found everything so spicy and doused with pepper. The fries were cold soggy. My mother said her burger was over cooked & bland. Our server never came to check on us. When we finally got his attention for our bill. The waiter saw that we didn't eat anything we ordered except 3 onion rings. Never asked why we didn't eat or if it was oaky. I think it's way overpriced for what it was. Service needs work so does there kitchen. read more

Probably the worst service among popular restaurants in nyc. Bareburger is almost TOO good. The servers are always attentive and friendly. There are so many options that it's easy to come back often without ever ordering the same thing. I recommend the assorted pickles as an appetizer or side! Everything I've had here is delicious. I especially recommend the Roadhouse burger. Would give it 5 stars if they had normal ketchup. Last night we were left to wait over an hour to be seated! (After being quoted by the hostess a wait of 25-30 minutes) We arrived about 6:45 pm and it was a busy Saturday night. We were a large party with 5 adults, a baby and 2 toddlers. We stood around while two other large parties with children and babies (who arrived AFTER us) were seated in booths that could have accommodated us. The hostess DID NOT think to check in with us and offer those seats! But to make matters WORSE, the manager was completely surprised and unsympathetic when we brought this to his attention! He made excuses for his hostess, pointed out "the human element" in waiting on a busy Saturday night, and stood there utterly confused as to why we would be upset about waiting. It was unbelievable. A manager should not be arguing with customers when they bring a legitimate complaint. A competent manager should be apologetic and sympathetic when a customer brings a compliant. Isn't this basic customer service training? But this manager was the complete opposite which upset us even more. The LAST STRAW was when a waiter came by (not even our waiter!) and tried to correct us about our wait time! Unbelievable. This waiter insisted that we only had to wait 50 minutes and not the amount of time that we had said. HE was the one who was incorrect. Our total wait time from the time we entered the restaurant at 6:45 pm to when we were seated at around 8 PM was over an hour. It is outrageous that we had to wait OVER AN HOUR to be seated especially with a baby and two toddlers! The hostess needed to be much more careful. The manager needed to have been doing his job as a manager and supervising the hostess. And the waiter who tried to correct us needed to have not made it worse by arguing with us. read more

I pass this place everyday and thought I'd drop by and finally try it! I was very impressed. I got the elk burger wrapped in collard greens. The elk was fantastic - juicy, flavourful, and perfectly cooked (I asked for rare and rare was exactly what I got). The customer service was also fantastic! The only thing I didn't like was the coleslaw - it was bland and not creamy enough. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place! read more

So when you're ready to skip salads in favor of some chunky food, Bareburger is where I want to spend my calorie budget. Top quality ingredients, the aged cheddar is real not fake aged like so many menus (great taste hits you among the caramelized onion and crispy adult bacon... yes this is not the plastic fast food bacon this bacon is serious and not fatty)The brioche bun is so pretty covered in seeds you don't want to destroy it...but yes I destroyed it. Side of onion rings they were so fresh and so perfect they could double as jewelry. Service was warm and genuine, like the server really likes people relaxed and nice and attentive . I felt like I was hanging out with friends. Finally my server seemed to know exactly what I wanted. He offered me coffee and the coffee came in a lovely mug and had that sheen of freshly made coffee. Great experience I plan to come back. Comfy roomy seating (which is rare round these parts and which I needed after that burger) you can people watch as the doors open to the sidewalk on this lovely day. I have ordered from Bareburger multiple times and even sat down to eat in their restaurant. I ordered using the app today and experienced terrible service. I had ordered smoke sauce to go with the side of fries but they did not include it in my order even though I had paid extra for it. I on top of that ordered two milkshakes. One cococado and a mint cookies and cream. The milkshake I got was not the milk cookies and cream so I had called back to tell them they had made the wrong shake. They at first apologized and said they were going to send another. However I got another phone call 30 minutes later saying how I was wrong and that the one they sent was the mint cookies and cream. I had mentioned to them they had made the velvis which is another vegan shake because that one is covered in chocolate syrup. However they informed me they do not make the velvis at that location however on their menu on the app they clearly state that yes they do sell it at that location because it is one of the three vegan milkshake options you can choose from. They then continue to be rude and say how I was wrong. I love bareburger and out of all the locations I have been to this is by far the worse. They constantly are rude on the phone and do not know how to get the order right. I won't be buying from here anymore and I will be sure to tell other people I know to skip out as well. read more

Was told it would be 10-15 minutes - it was 25 - 30; they couldn't care less, when the order finally came out it just stood there until I had to tell them to give it to me. Inexperienced staff.
