When I walked in, I noticed all the obviously fake plants. That should have been a clue to the quality of this place. The water was tap water, and it didn't taste good. I got the Carnitas skillet with biscuits as a side. Nothing was seasoned. The pork shoulder and eggs were good. The potato was very potato-y and unseasoned. They were not crispy at all. I think they would have been better as hash browns instead of big potato chunks. The biscuits tasted bad; they reminded me of school cafeteria biscuits. I got over easy eggs, and they put the eggs on my side plate with the biscuit instead of my carnitas skillet. I wanted to eat it over the skillet so the egg would drip over it, so I had to physically move the egg myself. Most brunch places put the egg in the skillet, so I thought it was weird that this place doesn't. My sister got bacon, and her bacon tasted more like beef jerky than bacon. It was very straight, and not curled or crispy at all. Most restaurants can't mess up bacon, but this one somehow did. The decor was nice despite the fake looking plants. The big windows brought in a lot of light and the colors were nice. Service was good as well. I would not come back again because the food didn't taste good.

Barney's Cafe is the kind of place that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. From the super cute decor to the genuinely warm and welcoming staff, this spot has quickly become a local favorite for me. The service is absolutely top-notch! everyone is so sweet and attentive without being overbearing. On my last visit, they even surprised us with a plate of beautifully decorated birthday pancakes. Such a thoughtful and personal touch! The food is Just as impressive. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came in generous portions. Whether you're there for breakfast or lunch, you'll get great quality food at prices that are honestly hard to beat. Barney's hits that perfect mix of cozy, friendly, and delicious. If you're in The Colony and haven't checked it out yet, go on!

Good food, good service, good location. A few hiccups but nothing to get upset over. They did serve us some old chocolate chips but it wasn't too bad. Food came out really fast. The chilaquiles and fajita omelette were exceptionally good. The pancake wasn't anything to take note of which was a little disappointing for a breakfast/brunch place. Plenty of parking and highly recommend the fajita omelette and chilaquiles. Side note : they have sugar free syrup.

This weekend was my first time at Barney's Cafe, and I enjoyed having brunch here! It was busy when I went but the inside and seating was very comfortable. I ordered the Barney's Oh-Melet which comes with your choice of two sides. My two sides were fruits and pancakes: the fruits were fresh and the pancake was warm and fluffy! The sausage gravy was delicious on the omelette, put perfectly with the sausage, onions and potatoes. Staff was friendly and the food came out fast!

I was in the area around lunch time and got on Yelp to find place to eat. I am so glad Barney's popped up, what a great choice! The ambiance here is nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. It is typical brunch Cafe. The service is the same, nothing out of the ordinary or over the top, but pretty good. One thing I will compliment them on is they keep the place spotlessly clean! The food though IS out of the ordinary. I ordered the Barney's Omelet, and it was absolutely delicious! It had potatoes, cheddar, onions, and sausage in it and then it was served with sausage gravy on top!!! I will come back just for this, ad it wad probably the best omelet I have had.

I've heard good things about this place and it lived up! The food was all seasoned well we got chilaquiles and voodoo Benedict. Serves was sweet and feel warm and welcoming, I am not a huge breakfast person but I would come here again!

    chilaquiles a la barney's -- spicy and amazing -- 6/5 gold stars

servers were super friendly and attentive. the food came out perfect and the flavor profiles were amazing! they accommodated our party of 10 without issue. loved the low lighting and chill in the air.

The food at Barney's Cafe was truly fabulous! I ordered Chilaquiles and my wife got an omelet which were both some of the best dishes we've had in a while! Service was great as well. Everything I tried was delicious including the pancakes except for the chocolate-batter pancakes which were a little dry. I found the menu exciting and fun too. Barney's knocked it out of the park for us and I can't wait to come back.

Went here for breakfast cause I wanted to try this place for so longg.. I saw it everyday while I drove to work and knew I had to give it a try! Ordered gyro omelette with potatoes and biscuits! The omelette tasted amazing! The lamb meat was so flavorful we absolutely loved it! Also, to satisfy our sweet tooth, we ordered our usual banana, strawberries, and nutella french toast which was also amazing! The only reason for 4 stars is cause our server was not very good.. she never asked us for sides when we ordered and gave a super vague reason that a lot of people don't order sides so I don't ask them unless they actually tell me.. I have never heard this reason from anyone! Also, they only refilled our coffee once! I being a breakfast person, have been to multiple brunch and breakfast places and have always had more than 2 refills offered! Oh well, at least the breakfast was good...

Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday with a friend/business colleague and quickly remembered why I liked this cafe so much the first time I visited earlier this year. They have a great variety of menu selections, the space is clean and bright, and service is very good. I ended up having breakfast for lunch, ordering a veggie omelette with potatoes and gluten-free toast. Everything was tasty, and our server was attentive without being over bearing. Definitely need to pop in here more often!

    Bisquits and gravy

Had some free time this morning, so I decided to give this place a try. They weren't busy, so I got sat right away. I ordered bisquits and gravy with scrambled eggs. I also got OJ, and you could tell that it was fresh squeezed. The bisquits were moist, and the gravy had nice chunks of sausage. They put something on the eggs to give them a nice flavor. The prices were very reasonable. My breakfast was about $14 with tax. I would highly recommend this place

Sausage was old and omelet came out cold. Not sure what the issue is but since they got new ownership this place has gone downhill.

One big plus was the parking--they have a large parking lot, although we did have to walk a bit and the shopping area was really busy that day Valet parking was also available. The restaurant itself is modern and clean and the service was prompt, friendly, and attentive for the first part of our meal but towards the end, you were hard pressed to get our water glasses refilled. We started with the calamari, Korean BBQ tacos, and Brussels sprouts, and all of the appetizers were very good with generous portion sizes. Unfortunately, the entrees were a disappointment. I ordered the prime rib medium rare plus, but it came out closer to medium well. Another person at our table also ordered a steak, and theirs was overcooked as well. It's especially disappointing when a restaurant misses the mark on the main course since they had a few options of steak on their menu. The appetizers and atmosphere were definitely highlights, but the overcooked steaks took away from what could have been a great dining experience.

The hostess added us to the list and said they would send a text once our table was ready. She even read our phone number back to us. We waited outside and 30 minutes went by before we went back inside to see how much longer. Yea, they somehow didn't actually add us to the list. There were plenty of tables available by then and they gave us a table immediately. We placed our order and after receiving everything except the penne alla vodka and waiting almost 20 minutes after we'd gotten everything, I asked where our pasta was. Our waiter said it should've come out long ago and he would check. Somewhere along the line, it was forgotten. Either it was never put in or the kitchen staff lost it. It ended up being on a completely separate bill because they had to put it in again. By this point, we were over this dinner experience. An extra hour had been added on due to no fault of our own. So why am I giving it 4 stars? Because the manager made it right. Patrick, the manager, came over to our table to talk to us. We politely explained how this evening was a failure across multiple points and he was very apologetic and comped our entire $50 meal. I wasn't expecting that as I had already given our waiter my credit card and he already ran it. We weren't looking for a free meal, we just wanted to give him honest feedback about how things went wrong. Because he took the time to chat with us, I wouldn't hesitate to return. This experience had never happened before there so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was just a rough night for folks. As for the food, the pepperoni pizza and chicken soup were delicious. The short rib comes pretty much comes in soup, but it was fall of the bone tender. The penne alla vodka that we waited so long for missed the mark. It was incredibly sour and mushy. We've gotten the bolognese and pappardelle pastas before and those were both excellent.
