We stopped in while we were out for a motorcycle ride. I wasn't really sure what to expect but we were happy when we got our food. We had pepperoni and half black olive, half green olive. The pizza was great and the crust was delicious. I also saw a tray of wings go by that looked fantastic and made me wish I would have taken advantage of the special. (X-large pizza and wings $26) The price was right too! Just over $22 for 4 of us to eat. Sure beats Micky D's that shares the parking lot. This place used to be good but we had not ordered in a long time. Ordered their pizza and wing special and could immediately see that the large pizza shrunk since we were last there. This Barro's has been our go-to pizza place since we moved to AZ 6 years ago. This week we got the worst pizza ever. There was a different person in the kitchen apparently. Our pizza came out very quickly and the crust was not krispy as usual & the mushrooms were thin and tasteless; olives were tossed on with no thought to arrangement. Also the place needs to be lightened up. Everything is dark; booth seats are falling apart. Perhaps the owner needs to think of upgrading to a more pleasant atmosphere. read more

Barro's became my #1 pizza place today! Tonight I accidentally sent my order to the Surprise location (when ordering from my phone). When I arrived at the Lake Pleasant location they obviously couldn't find my order. Needless to say I was stressed, and to make matters worse I forgot my phone at home. I couldn't pull up my order, cancel the old order, or call my husband about the debacle. The gal at the counter, Makayla, was so kind and very helpful. She called the Surprise location for me and cancelled the order, reordered my food, and even let me use the phone to call and let the family know I'd be late. I know this all sounds simple... but when you're a busy mama who's got 3 hungry family members at home... this is simply a blessing. Barro's Pizza is a decent place to grab a pizza if you are looking for a last minute pizza fix. If you have the time to eat in, I would recommend it as the pizza always tends to be better. We ordered an extra large pepperoni pizza and by the time I got it home it wasn't really hot anymore. The only thing saving this review from lower star rating is their sweet red chili wings. They are some of my favorite wings to get. If it wasn't for them this place would definitely not be my first go to for pizza. read more

We tried to be supportive and decided to do a carry out tonight for a quick pizza in the midst of the Covid-19 stuff going on. I am in disbelief that there doesnt seem to be any precautions taken to wearing gloves while making pizza or touching boxes, sanitizing surfaces, etc. Even having the front door propped open so everyone wasn't touching the front door handle would be better then nothing. We wont be eating from here tonight or any time soon. read more

BARROS PIZZA THE PLACE WHERE THE CUSTOMER IS NEVER RIGHT. Took 2.5 hours for a medium pizza. The manager swore that we gave the wrong address, and that it was our fault. After being on and off the phone with the manager they then claimed we didn't give them the correct callback number. Taking it even further they were unable to comp a $12 pizza after the unorganized mess that is their delivery system. Lesson learned I'll go to a different pizza place Everytime now. read more

They email you a coupon then harass you every time you go in to use it. First, said it wasn't in their system. Like that's our issue. Then smart remark that it's probably expired. I just received the email and it was good until 5/24/2021 and we used it on 5/4/2021. If you don't want a customer to use your coupon then don't issue it. Great customer service! Thanks for treating a regular customer like crap so we could go home and enjoy your overbaked pizza. They email customers to vote their pizza the best when customer service is the worst. I was disappointed with the service and the pizza. After being told my order would be ready in an hour, I get there 75 minutes later and my pizza is done, but they are waiting on my salad. How's the pizza done before throwing vegetables in a plastic container? Also, I got pepperoni and pepperochini in half the pizza. 11/30/19-The manager here is incredible. We order from here all the time, and although only twice in the last few years has there been a mistake, but both times the manager has legit made things right & then some. I understand that things happen, that's life but it's how those mistakes are handled that make the difference. Once again, the manager has gone above & beyond. This next part of my review is from a year ago- 2018-We ordered delivery & had a mistake. HOWEVER, when we called, we were able to get ahold of the manager right away & WOW did he go above & beyond for us!! He truly cares that every experience is top notch and the best. Barros recently changed it so that when you order pizza delivery through their website it forces you to use door dash. Okay. So I order my family of 8 pizza and wings through door dash, but there is no option to add ranch. So I call barros and ask if they can add ranch to our order. Mind you, I ordered hotwings for 8 people... surely adding ranch is a simple ask. They say they have to ask their manager. They come back on the phone and say no. Their manager won't allow them to add ranch to the door dash order. Couldn't cancel the order either because door dash doesn't let you cancel. I know this is a silly thing, but truly not understanding why they could not add ranch to the order that they hadn't even made yet... doesn't quite make sense to me and felt very rude that they couldn't accommodate such a simple request from a paying customer. So I guess all this to say, if you eat your wings with ranch, make sure you order in person? I guess? read more

This is the only Barro's that we will order from anymore. We live in the NW valley and usually have the option between this location and the one off of the 101 @ 67th. After being disappointed several times by the inconsistency of the food from the 101 location we decided to stick with Lake Pleasant. The pizza is always cooked perfectly and made exactly as we ordered it. The service on the phone and at the counter is 100% and we always feel welcome! Could not recommend this location enough and would definitely advise people to make the call to Lake Pleasant if they have the option! read more

I have been waiting for this location to open and today was a truly special day! I would recommend this pizza to everyone. It really is that good! High quality ingredients and great sauce with a choice of original or thin crust, makes this pie to die for! Tonight I brought home the Barro's Special which has pep, mush, ham, grn. peppers and onion. I added jalapenos on half for my husband. I am not a huge fan of ham but it was so good. Thin, small slices tossed evenly over my beautifully baked order. The cheese is just the right amount ( by this I mean you can still see the other toppings) and cooked to a perfect golden brown! I might add black olives next time, but seriously this thing was just the right amount of meat to veggie toppings as is. The place is huge compared to the 67th Ave and 101 location. Salad bar looked clean and fresh. They have booths and stand alone tables. Very family friendly place. The employees are also very helpful and pleasant. They have lots of specials going on at the restaurant and online coupons too! Lunch specials include a slice, salad and drink for 4.25!!! Wowzza! XL pizza and 24 wings for 23.99!
