We placed an online order, waited an hour to pick it up to be told it just got made and put in the oven and would be another 20 minute wait. This is the second time this has happened. Can you say AMAZING! I have been looking for a really good pizza place since we moved to the PHX area over 2 years ago. Unfortunately we did not try Barro's until a week ago, but we will be back. The pizza was amazing (and all we got this first time was pepperoni and cheese). We also ordered the mozzarella sticks and boneless bbq wings. The fact that the marina sauce was chunky showed the attention to detail they have at this place and the focus they put on getting you the best food possible. Everything was delicious and amazing. The pizza had that made from scratch melts in your mouth flavor and that I have not had since the mom and pop place I grew up with in Ohio. I am so glad we found Barro's and the fact that they have an app that we can order through is definitely not waistline friendly. Great place and can't wait to order again. Yummy!! I love Barro's Pizza and I really like this location. Some location's can be really crowded or small, but the Happy Valley restaurant has plenty of room. I think they were a bit understaffed because there were a few dirty tables, but other than that service was fast and pleasant. We ordered a XL veggie pizza and it was sooooooo good! Placed a large order last night at 4:30 in the afternoon and was told order will be ready at 5:45 so went to barro's lake pleasant location at required time and was told it's in the oven would be 10 minutes. After waiting 25 minutes with no call checked on order and was told it already went out. Huh!!! We were told it would be another hour and a half for order. Asked for manager and were told no one can speak to him tonight. Asked for a refund and left what a waste of time. We've been a long time customer of Barros Pizza at Lake Pleasant and Happy Valley. Normally their food is great. But lately we have experienced some less than desirable service. 1st, they always tell you in the phone that your pick up order will be ready in 25-35 minutes. However every single time I walk in, I have to wait another 20-30 minutes. Just tell me it will be an hour. 2nd, I am not sure what happened to my boneless wing order the other day, but I had half the amount of wings I was supposed to and the other half of the box was nothing but residual wing crumbs. A whole pile of them. No wing value at all. No meat. Just breaded crumbs with wing sauce. I sure hope they clean up their act or we will no longer be a customer. UPDATE:::::::: So this week we hit Barros up again. This time our boneless wings were perfect. Either Barros reflected on their customer service, or they just had a really good wing making day. The fact that they were okay with me ordering that late is so amazing!! On top of it we have a weird property with multiple houses, so we requested the driver call us, he did TWICE because I didn't hear my phone ringing! I called him back not a minute later and he was outside our gate still waiting to deliver our food. Which looks and tastes amazing btw. They no longer have their own delivery drivers, so they automatically make you go through doordash for delivery from their website. The lack of customer service or care for a solution (since they get paid regardless if customers receive their order or not, doordash eats the price) by a ''manager" is absolutely ridiculous. Just received our Ex.large pizza and dozen wings from the Barro's in Peoria Az.and after waiting the nearly one hour delivery time which we had expected being that it's New Years Eve and was told about the delivery time. the pizza was good as it usually is but the wings tasted like they had been cooked two days ago. Best pizza in town. Their crust is phenomenal! The outside is nice and crispy and the inside is soft and fluffy. We always have the black olive, tomato, and chicken pizza. We thought it was some of the best pizza we'd ever had. The salad was fresh and had all the extras we liked. I've read some reviews that didn't like it. That was not our experience. This Pizza restaurant is the worse very very racist, when I went in to pick up my food these two white girls where at the register talking to each for about 3 mins or so looking at me and laugh. One of them finally came over and there was a white man behind me she asks him what was his name and he said I believe she is first and so frowned and they asked what could she help me with. I gave her may name and she went in the back and came back and said a couple more minutes and rang me up and then the other girl came from the back after helping the other man. Someone else referred to the Crank Ass Lady and unfortunately we have experienced her first hand the last two times. The last time I picked up our order, I actually felt like I was a nuisance. If you read my previous review..."SHE" is still there after all, but apparently has had an attitude adjustment since she isn't as rude and annoying lately. It is crazy how friendly she is to some and how the smile just disappears from her face when she looks at others (like us and our friends). We like the food, the lunch specials, the salad bar, but not necessarily a certain employee. She might like you, she might not. But you WILL know if she likes you or not, trust me. I'm not a fan of you traditional American style pizza but the kids are. That being said, I don't expect much more than a lot of bread, cheese and bland, jarred sauce from most chain pizza joints. Barros delivered on that aspect, bleh. Our last visit however left me nauseous & annoyed. As I waited in the car, my husband ran inside to pick up our pizzas to bring home. An employee, still w his dirty apron on walked out of the establishment coughing & gagging. A delivery kid passed him on the sidewalk in fro t of our car. During their quick exchange the gagging employee stated loud enough for me to hear through my closed windows that he "had just gotten through throwing up 5 times & felt like shit." Then he proceeded to cough, gag & spit right in front of my car. Wow. Attempting to understand the facts that a. Everyone gets sick & b. We're talking about minimum wage workers here I went into confront the management and check on the state of the food we were bringing home to our children.
