The fluffy chix sandwich, buffalo chix sandwich and the potato nachos!! It was all delicious!

Update on a past review. I haven't been back in a while. I met a friend for lunch yesterday. The menu had some added items. We tried the cozy cottage and crab Rangoon burger. Both were delicious! Very generous portions. Service was excellent! Josie helped us with the menu and drinks. The cherry , ginger ale I definitely recommend. The place is as cute as ever. Great lil spot for a quick lunch. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for a plant based spot with flavor, variety, and outside dinning, come here!!!! We came from providence where the options for plant based restaurants are extremely limited. This place did not disappoint! 10/10 recommend. It is an order at the counter and choose your own seat style, which I like. We had the crunch wrap, Nashville hot chick'n sando, fried pickles, fries, and fire cracker wings. Everything was seasoned, fresh, and delicious!!! Even their sauces were amazing! The garlic aoli was the best!! Support this local business. You won't be disappointed!! We will be back. And the service was great! Friendly staff! We were too full to try dessert but the selection looked delish!

Basil & Bunny was a stop on the inaugural Triple Play: Best Donuts, Best Cookies, & Best Cupcakes by RI FOOD FIGHTS journey. The Triple Play runs from April 1st thru April 30th. The coupon at Basil & Bunny was for 1 chocolate chip cookie. The chocolate chip cookie was sooooo good. The cookie was ultra soft and chewy and its edges were slightly crisp. I would definitely come back and get the chocolate chip cookie. I voted Basil & Bunny for the best cookie. Since it was near lunchtime, I also ordered one of the specials, the Frickle Burger, small bunny fries, and a slice of the lemon lavender cake. The frickle burger was absolutely delicious - the seasoned impossible patty, cheese, hand battered fried pickles, lettuce, tomato, spicy ranch on a toasted brioche - worked so well together. The bunny fries came out piping hot and were fried for perfection. I ordered a small, but it was definitely a good amount of fries. I dipped the fries in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce. The lemon lavender cake had good flavor, but it was a little dry. I am not vegan, but all the food flavors were spot on and I will definitely be back. Basil & Bunny is located in Bristol's Unity Park complex alongside many other businesses. There are a lot of parking spaces in the complex and street parking. I walked in and the space was very open and inviting. Lyslie Smith, owner and founder of Basil & Bunny, was in the kitchen and popped her head out to welcome me to the restaurant. There are plenty of seating tables inside and outside. The staff member who took my order was very friendly. In a few minutes, my order was ready and as I was leaving, Lyslie said bye and best wishes to enjoy the meal. Customer service was amazing.

First time here to eat. I was looking for a healthy meal choice for an early dinner and thought I would check out the Basil & Bunny. Actually, I purchased a couple gift cards for B&B for my son and his fiancé and he highly recommended it. I ordered the Bunny Mac which has two house made bean patties and an organic pomegranate sparkling beverage. I was disappointed that they didn't have the three buns for this sandwich and had to choose a brioche bun as a substitute. The burger was very good with just the right amount of fancy sauce. I will be back to try other items on their menu.

Basil and bunny never disappoints. Evwrytime I don't get the Buff Bunny, I wish I did. That's exactly what I got this time- no regrets. Basil and Bunny makes the best seitan sandwiches around, no exceptions. They transform vital wheat gluten into a firm, meaty piece of "chicken" that they season perfectly and fry up for one really solid sandwich. This time the seitan patty seemed a little softer texture wise than it has in the past and it was less crisp, but it was still really good. I'm sure it just varies batch to batch and this is the first time out of the dozen or so sandwiches I've had that seemed a little different- still very good and maybe even a more preferable version to some people. Staff is always friendly and if you eat in, you get to enjoy their calming, clean and "nature filled" dining area. They have plants and lots of light coming in everywhere, highly recommend.

Fantabulous! My made up word which perfectly describes this superb vegan experience within the heart of Bristol, RI. Superior customer service today (which seems to be the norm), hand crafted plant based foods and always fresh.

This place is LOVELY!! My boys and I tried the wings, homemade burger, fries and whoopie pie and were impressed. Plant based burgers are often mushy- but this was a double patty, and stayed firm (even for 8yo hands). The ambiance is whimsical and bright, and modern. We can't wait to return!

Man do I love me some bomb vegan food!!! This place never fails to make me feel absolutely FULL and content with their delicious meals. I absolutely recommend getting the Nacho Fries--they are truly a wonderful delight and just jam packed with flavor. The burgers are great--so great that you forget it's not even meat! Portions are literally great for the price and you gotta get the bunny sauce on the side!! From the staff to the food to the cute decor, go get yourself some Basil & Bunny today!

The food was delicious and they also had an assortment of cookies , cakes and cupcakes. Had to get a bunch to try. All delicious. Me and my boyfriend had the Philly steaks which were so tasty and filling. We had some fries and Mac and cheese. Will definitely come back even though it was a 50 min drive. Decent prices and nice atmosphere. You order and they deliver to table.

What a delight it is to visit Basil & Bunny! I've been to their storefront a few times and they never disappoint. The atmosphere is totally stunning. It's light, bright, airy, and so perfectly decorated. The girl who took my order was also super friendly and welcoming and it added to the already enjoyable experience. I was with my husband this trip and we both ordered the Buff Bunny sandwich. This dish was a knockout! It was piled high with a huge piece of "chicky" seitan that was doused in buffalo sauce, topped with a crunchy slaw, crisp lettuce, and a juicy tomato slice, all held together on a soft brioche bun. These flavors and textures work so well together and make for a really delicious and cohesive sandwich. The seitan is prepared uniquely from other vegan restaurants I've been to because it's formed into a thick patty that is very reminiscent of a meat protein. A small side of dressed greens is also included, which is appreciated, and the house made "hunny" mustard is so tasty! We also split a chocolate chip cookie, which I thought was good too. It did have a different taste to it, which is to be expected from a vegan cookie, but I still liked it. My husband did not care for the cookie, so I ate his half, but we both agreed that the texture was excellent. It had crunchy edges and a soft middle - perfection. Neither my husband nor I are vegan, but we both love the food at Basil & Bunny. I would highly recommend checking out this restaurant regardless of your dietary needs as it will please everyone in the party. Though the drive is far for me, I will definitely be back and am looking forward to my next visit!

My boyfriend and I had a really great time at this place. The food was delicious and the ambience is a hipster-type vibe. There was a festival going on at the time and it was great because there are a bunch of different places in the same plaza. We ended up eating food here and then heading over to listen to music and have some cocktails at one of the other places in the area.

    Avocado and Hunny Chicky Salads
    Heather M.

Basil & Bunny is a super cute cafe with mouthwatering burgers, bowls, and salads in a very charming coastal town, Bristol, RI. We ordered the Hunny Crispy Chicky and Avocado Greens salads. Both super flavorful and delicious! I absolutely loved the Crispy Chicky Seitan strips! So crispy and the seitan was light and moist! The Hunny dressing IS MY NEW OBSESSION... soo good, I recommend ordering extra.  Paired with our salad, we enjoyed local kombuchas from Fieldstone Kombucha Co Next time we can't wait to try the burgers and sweet treats from foglia's pastry chef Piper. Also in the same plaza is Pivitol Brewing company. And near Colt State Park is 6 pack brewing. We loved that both breweries are pup friendly indoors and vegan friendly with exception to a couple with lactose.

Deserves a solid 2.5 stars, but that is not an option…read more Atmosphere was very noisy and crowded. Waitress did not check in to see how we liked our food after it was delivered, but otherwise gave great service with a smile. Menu is small and very meat and seafood centric - not especially ideal for picky eaters or vegetarians/vegans. The Thai wrap appetizer tasted exactly like the Asian salad you can buy in a bag at the grocery store for $3. They were not really 'wraps' but this pre-made salad tossed upon some leaves of lettuce, difficult to eat, and had only the smallest dallop of peanut sauce on them (which was the best part!) My partner's General Al's Chicken took you on a journey from savory to sweet to spicy flavor-wise, but there was something off about the taste that he did not care for (and I've never seen him dislike food at a restaurant. Ever.) My side salad was lettuce only doused in the same aforementioned Asian salad grocery store mix dressing, with lots of wilted/old lettuce that I had to pick out. My entree was good but tasted generic, like something I've had at other chain restaurants a million times before with no unique twist put on it. It had a sauce but it had little to no flavor - couldn't figure out what it even was and didn't remember it being on the menu - so it added nothing to the dish. There are lots of rave reviews here, but we just don't get it. We've ordered takeout from here before and that time, too, we were not overwhelmed with joy, just kind of 'whelmed.' Very 'meh,' and with so many other incredible food establishments within a 25 minute drive in Providence or in between, or even great local spots in town, this place just doesn't hold a candle. Not worth going back. It felt like a very novice chef was at the helm and dishes lacked inspiration and new, exciting flavors that we haven't seen before.

The burger I ordered (bacon cheeseburger with no bacon) was delicious. No complaints there and I will probably reorder. The only problem here was that I asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, to which the waiter simply said okay. Turns out it was an undisclosed upcharge. Not only did he not tell me it would be $2.75 (or something like that) more, but the fries are listed as the same price online. When I told him that, he said that their online menu is really old (this is to say, don't look at it! and also, not sure why they wouldn't update it if they know it's incorrect). Sure enough, the printed menu also said nothing about an upcharge for a different fry, so ultimately I was able to remove the charge, but it was a little awkward and frustrating. My only other complaint is not particularly the fault of the restaurant, but I suppose just a side effect of the laidback vibes. A group of 7 or 8 people came in like 20 minutes after us and was so loud that I almost suggested we leave. My guess is they were drunk, but it was a Wednesday night around 6:00, so I wouldn't have expected that. They were so loud that I was yelling to my friend who was within arm's length. Totally changed the vibe and enjoyment for me.

Our friends enjoyed their meals... citrus swordfish (also one of the specials), French onion soup & salad, and a chicken salad sandwich. My companion & I shared a piece of lemon meringue pie for dessert, which was good. It wasn't as big a serving as at some restaurants, but it was enough. I have no idea of the cost as prices are not listed on the dessert menu, a practice I dislike. I also didn't like the fact that I asked for a fork as I don't like eating cake or pie with a spoon & was told I couldn't have one as they were all needed. Our friends enjoyed their peanut butter pie & coconut cake. Our server was adequate. We had to chase her down to ask for water, lemon, etc. I understand she was very busy but a smile would have been nice. I do appreciate the fact that we were not rushed out, and we were allowed plenty of time to catch up with our friends. Also, the hostess was gracious enough to take a photo of our group as we were leaving the restaurant. This restaurant used to be the Country Inn on Market Street in Warren. They have a decent sized parking lot, although it seemed barely sufficient for the amount of volume they do. I would rate this restaurant a 3.5 if I had that option. Will I return? Probably not.

First time ever for this restaurant, even in its former life. Passed by many time before and the…read moreparking lot was always full. We finally stopped by for lunch after an appointment in Barrington and we weren't disappointed (and the parklng lot was still full!) Staff are pleasant (Ellie our server was great - great personality!) We started with Clam Chowder (husband's fave) and i had Apple Butternut Soup - delish. Our mains were Grilled Swordfish for him and Chicken & Waffles for me. Portions were plentiful. The restaurant itself is modern with plenty of seating. Menu has something for everyone.
