Last Tuesday evening, my husband and I decided to grab ice cream after dinner. For some reason, I was really craving Baskin-Robbins and it's always had a nostalgic feel for me, reminding me of childhood trips when my parents would treat me to a scoop. I'll admit, I was a little surprised by today's prices, but that's just the reality now. What made the visit totally worth it, though, was the atmosphere at this location. It was lively and full of people, which already felt like a good sign. As we were browsing the many flavor options, my husband and I planned to share a double scoop until the employee mentioned it was "family night," where each scoop was only $2.99! I gasped! That changed everything. I immediately told my husband he could get his own while I happily ordered two scoops for myself...hehe. I felt like a kid in a candy store, except...ice cream edition. It was such a small moment, but it genuinely made me so happy. The shop itself was clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly, which added to the overall experience. I can definitely see why it was so busy. Knowing they offer family night on Tuesdays after 5 PM makes it even more special, and it brought back those same warm memories I had as a kid with my parents. It was more than just ice cream...it was a little dose of nostalgia, and I'll definitely be back as often as I can go without getting to round! read more

Came here 10 mins before close time cause I was craving ice cream even tho I don't have a sweet tooth.. and the folks were already cleaning up but they let me get a couple of scoops with friends (not a big order) and don't make me feel bad for slacking. 5 other people came up and they didn't turn em away either. My dad used to take me to Rite Aid when I was a kid and he'd always order Pralines n Cream... I'd order mint and chip and rocky road Rite Aid and CVS still do they're sugar cone fair... But when we come to Baskin's it's Pint City I get my Peanut Butter n Chocolate Pint My mint and chip pint And yes... I have a caramel sweet tooth now so I gotta grab the Pralines n Cream... I ordered an ice cream cake. It was a roll cake for my step father and myself. The happy birthday message was written on the cardboard and not on the cake which looked really sus! My husband forgot to pick up the additional handpacked ice cream pint. He works everyday and did not have time to go back to get it until today where the store employee told me to call the store and ask for the owner. She stated sine there was no receipt she couldn't do anything. I had the receipt. I sent it to my husband as a photo, still she did not give him the pint. I then called the store and was told that the owner was not there. SHAHID, if you treat your customers poorly you will loose them. I am forced to get a refund from my bank. I will not ask for the a refund for the cake. You could have made this right. Why are you stealing from your customers? Lastly when I called this same girl told me to have a nice day! UNBELIEVABLE! I come here almost 2/3 times a week. The people working the shift on Wednesdays in the evening are absolutely trash and slow. I always get a medium milkshake, and today my milkshake wasn't filled all the way up. I explained to the girl with the badly dyed honey blonde hair, why is the milkshake not filled all the way up. She doesn't fix the problem, looking dumbfounded i left to make this review. I will never go here again. I live 2 mins away from this place, very discriminating as well. read more

I don't know what it is. If the employees think giving customers a regular size scoop is going to come out of their checks. I got 3 different ice cream creations and all of them were short on ice cream. I have been to other Baskin Robbins and ordered the same thing i ordered here and you can tell right away that it was half of the ice cream other places give. I ordered a 2 scoop sundae and i got one scoop with the 2 flavors. They also served the 2 scoops in the container for the one scoop orders. Clealry someone thinks they will go bankrupt for serving what the customer is paying for. I say go anywhere else for ice cream. There are many other options and better ones on Figueroa if you are looking for something sweet. After this experience i know i won't be returning. read more

I didn't realize this place didn't open until 11AM when I arrived at 10:30AM. Even worse, I made the mistake of ordering my custom cake for noon pick up time. The guy working here on 9/24 opened the doors slightly early for me and immediately assisted me. Even though my order wasn't ready because I showed up way too early, he immediately started working on it and got it to me in less than 10 minutes. By proximity this is our favorite BR store. But we may start driving to South Pasadena for our ice cream, due to one employee here. There's one girl at this branch that always serves small scoops! Baskin and Robins is a great ice cream place. Ice cream's great, has employees, and customers coming in every once in a while. One day I had forgot my wallet hoping I could afford even one cone with one scoop. I counted my money and didn't know until after I could afford a cone. The employee had became a favorite since he refused to take all of my change. It was enough but I didn't know. He gave me the cone for free. I didn't get his name but I know to remember this day and that person. More people like him will make the world a better place. I am really grateful and hope to come back soon. read more

I was just craving a brownie a la mode. I know this place is expensive but I just love BR ice cream. The worker was this old guy who was nice but he didn't really hear what I was telling him. I told him twice I wanted my nuts (LOL) under the whip cream. He so did not hear me and ugh all the nuts fell out of the cup since it was on top of cream. UGH. Seriously, I'm not much of an ice cream snob. I ate Thrifty Ice Cream when it cost 20 cents for a scoop and no, that wasn't 1904!!! It was the 80s!!! I've always thought Baskin Robbins tasted fine. As for atmosphere, I wouldn't stick a buck in the jukebox and sway my day away. FYI They do not have a jukebox. This parking lot is a bitch. In the summertime, lines are long. But the Gold Medal Ribbon is sometimes worth the hassle. So simple, yet utterly delicious! Vanilla, chocolate and a swirl of caramel. I call that unity. On another note, I DID vow never to go to Baskin Robbins again after they switched their logo to that hideous BR bullshit. This particular store is always clean, polite service, and very helpful when answering questions. Brand new remodeled inside and Heath grade of A are a plus. Wish the employees were more pro active with suggestions, but that's just depends on the employees I encounter. However, I do encounter few cute Asian guys working once a while.
