Thankfully, after a deep breath, it wasn't so bad, although I felt ready to smack a few people. (Seriously, does a family of four, who are not in line, need to stand from table to counter?) This review has nothing to do with their ice cream as it is delicious, but really with their lack of training for their staff and I believe possibly new ownership. I went here yesterday and saw they had a check-in offer for buy a scoop of ice cream get a free waffle cone. from my understanding these check-in offers aren't magically made up by Yelp and the actual business has most likely worked with Yelp to provde a check-in offer. The young staff kept asking me for a barcode? I said this has never been an issue and the first youngen helping me said he wouldn't honor the check-in and I need to understand where he was coming from. Really horrible problem solving skills. He called over his coworker and asked him how to give the discount and he was also unaware how to enter the Yelp offer in their system without a barcode. At this point it is about principle and wanting to teach these boys problem solving skills and hone in on how to be better customer service representatives. Anyhow, I asked them if there was a manager Incan speak to and they said it was just them so we requested they call a manager. I believe he called the owner which the ignorant owner apparently asked the worker to convey to me "just this once they'll let me get this offer, but next time I need a barcode". WTH? To fix the issue management/owner either contact Yelp to cancel your check-in offer OR let's be smart and you give your employees a code and better training to enter so you can honor the Yelp offer your company is offering! Walked in to pick up a fathers day beer mug cake I had ordered online ahead of time. The cake was mushed a bit on top. All agreed that the cake tasted dry, the ice cream was ok, and that the frosting tasted like rubber. When I first walked into the ice cream shop I was greeted by one friendly team member but was helped by another girl with dark hair. I told her about my order, and she couldn't find it. I've come to this location 2 times and there was hardly anyone here, actually we were the only ones there, so service was quick and friendly. The first time I came I got the winter white wonderland (my favorite this time of year) and it was tasty as always and big plus for the big scoop and fresh cones. I love it when the cones are crunchy. The second time I came here I decided to go for my favorite chocolate chip cookie dough but I was so disappointed! It tasted weird, I couldn't pin point what it was about it but it didn't taste good something was off. This is the best Baskin-Robbins location in the area. It's smaller, but always clean with friendly workers. Their cake and pre-packed ice cream selection is good. They never have sticky floors or napkins everywhere like most of the other locations nearby, and they do cute things like have holiday themed tins for the sample spoons and used spoons. The workers never seem upset if you want to try a flavor or two before ordered, which is nice with so many options. We'll definitely be back to this particular location, since it's our favorite one nearby. read more

I came here and ordered a single scoop heath crunch. It was pretty good. The ice cream is fairly creamy, and it wasn't too sweet. The service wasn't that great though; there was $1.31 scoops and I used my friend's phone to show the cashier the coupon, and she got mad at me. The ice cream itself deserves 4 stars, but the bad service made it 3 stars. Anyway, I'm not that big a fan of ice cream, so I probably won't be coming back. read more

This Baskin-Robbins is the worst! I stopped by here earlier (Tuesday evening) and ordered a double scoop. The menu said double scoops are $4.99. I had a $4 mobile gift card that I handed to the cashier. She let me know that they were actually having a promo tonight for half off scoops, and that I would have to choose between their half off promo or my gift card and pay regular price, which is pretty ridiculous. I decided to just use the gift card. The cashier then told me that my total came out to be $2.16. I pointed out that my gift card is worth $4 and she argued that it was $3. I physically pointed to it again, that the gift card said $4, so she called the shift lead over to try to fix it. The shift lead mumbled something to me which I could not even hear. The cashier than repeated that the total is $2.16. I asked her for an explanation and she finally said that their machine is not accepting gift cards and the best they could give me is $3 off. Once I left, I read the mobile gift card thoroughly and there are directions for the cashier to enter the gift card digits it into their system but I certainly did not see her punch in any long code at all. She just glanced at it when I initially handed it to her. Also, their ice cream was pretty frost bitten. There are so many great ice cream shops out there, I have no idea why anyone would pick BR without a promo. Guess I'll go give Baskin-Robbins another try to use up my gift card at a different location. read more

So this was my first time coming into this location since the one by my house on Homestead is closed I came in around 7pm store was not busy at all which was great. I ordered a banana royal which is my normal go to when I come to BR. So the kid asked me what I would like I told him baseball nut and gold medal ribbon for my ice cream choices and hot fudge and strawberries for my topping. So when I sat down after paying $7.99 for this treat I noticed that there was more banana in there then ice cream and topping you couldn't even tell there was hot fudge on the ice cream when I could find some past the banana's in the cup. I was really upset but didn't want to complain as there was more people were in the store and they both were busy at that point. I was really disappointed in what I received and having to pay almost $8.00 for really nothing but a taste of ice cream and a bunch of bananas. Normally there would be nice scoops of ice cream to accompany the bananas and the topping were always plenty. Usually I can never finish one and put in the freezer for the next day. because it was made so small there was nothing. I hope they do better next time especially charging the price for not getting what you pay for. Ive been to several locations and order the same item each time. When i went to this location, the scoops were as big as the kids scoop for a 2 scoop sundae and the whip cream is a bit larger than a quarter coin, not to mention they do use half a cherry. I was quite amused actually looking at it. He probably saw the look on my face and offered to re-do it if i am not satisfied - i didnt opt for that because they were busy, i am in a hurry and he shouldve known what's wrong with it. furthermore, he said that it would have been in a taller cup if i ordered 3 scoops- while i am aware of that, the 2 scoop sundae in front of me didnt even make it passed the small cup. For everyone out there that must try before they buy, you get me! They always have the staple flavors like Jamoca Almond Fudge, vanilla, and chocolate, but they also have seasonal flavors like pumpkin pie and their flavor of the month. It's kind of tucked away in the Mervyns shopping mall. The mall is pretty sad looking so I had low expectations for the Baskin-Robins. I was willing to sacrifice quality of location for some ice-cream on this hot day. Surprisingly, this location was clean and didn't smell like stale ice cream or rotten milk. Service was not bad and I was in and out of the place in 5 minutes. Three of those minutes I spent waiting for the store employee to finish sweeping the floor. I didn't catch her name but this happened around 1:50pm yesterday. 2 young girls there and 1 says hello, walks towards the back to do something and the other young girl helps me. She asked me what I would like and I told her- a jamocha fudge shake. She went to make it and charged me as it was mixing. She brought me the drink with a flat lid, no whip cream so I politely asked if she could please add whipped cream and proceeded to hand her back the drink. She didn't say a word BUT she rolled her eyes right in front of us. My friend was shocked! From the beginning this girl was giving bad vibes since we walked through the door but I didn't let that interfere with how I treated her UNTIL she rolled her eyes for a simple request of asking her to perform her job. I still thanked her when she handed me my drink back but me being the bigger person isn't going to stop me from writing a review on my experience. Hire people with decent Customer Service skills because people like her make the entire place look bad. read more
