Baskin-Robbins $36 ice cream cake but where is the ice cream?

Ordered a custom ice cream cake from this location. It was $36. Upon getting the cake, we noticed it was pretty small. Upon cutting it open, it had a sliver of ice cream. The rest was cake. We contacted the store and Farshid said he would send a certificate via email for a new cake and then hung up the phone abruptly. Followed up via email a few times and then when he finally replied, he said he had sent it via text. He then proceeded to send a bunch of very rude texts, insisting that I was somebody else. He definitely did not because I never gave him my cell phone and when I called him, it was from a landline. He said it was for a mini cake from the freezer case which is not what we ordered. Everything about this experience has been frustrating. Proceed with caution when ordering a custom cake.

Small and mighty / gotta love all the flavor variety. It literally has something for everyone to enjoy, sorbet, sundae, cone, dish, cakes... I called ahead to see if my favorite flavor was available and IT WAS!!! I headed over to this one since it was the closest. Monkey Business 2 scoops please. Soooooooooooo tasty!! Service with a smile - can't beat it. Enjoy!

Just your average Baskin-Robbins. As long as it's clean and has all the flavor you want that's the most important thing. I have only had 2 flavors over the past 15 years since Jamoca Almond Fudge is one of my favorite flavors and I like their Chocolate Peanut Butter a lot. I haven't had any of their other flavors so as long as those two are available I'm happy. There's a few seating area inside and outside here and parking is pretty available.

Such a throwback, I've been coming to Baskin-Robbins since it was 31 flavors and I got to take my husband for the first time which was such a treat. Somehow he instinctively knew to get daiquiri ice which is a flavor I haven't discovered outside of Baskin Robbins and is definitely one of my favorite flavors. I usually get the pistachio almond but this time I was in a peanut butter mood I went for scoop of chocolate peanut butter. It was quite yummy. There's plenty of parking in the strip mall and the staff were fast and efficient. Lots of flavors to choose from too so there's something for everyone!

What do you do when there's a heat wave outside and you need a way to cool down? Seek out ice cream of course! The Baskin Robbins franchise has been around for as long as I can remember. Interestingly enough, Tustin has always had a location although it hasn't always been where it is today. I'm always a fan of the tried and true, so their Gold Medal Ribbon flavor is where it's at for me. Regardless, you have up to 31 flavors to select from so enjoy!

Baskin Robbins had a promo today for a free single scoop with promo code in app. This is my first time using their app, so I actually downloaded and walked in to the store to look at the selections. Interesting enough, my favorite flavor that wasn't showing up in the app was available so I mentioned it to the girl that was working and she said I can order any flavor on the app and she will substitute with what I want. When I placed the order, it prompted for credit card info (no Apple Pay) because they charged tax off the original price, which I wasn't expecting but I did it because I was already there. The girl working was so friendly. She changed my flavor for me and gave me a nice big scoop.

Friendly staff and yummy ice cream. They also have a great birthday club that you can include birthdays for your entire family on one account. You get a QR code to scan on the mobile app for the free birthday scoop. Today I stopped by for the free scoop deal on the app and got a nice sized scoop of strawberry cheesecake! Yum!

I work in Memory Care and we were going to have a Family Hour Ice Cream Social. I reached out to Baskin Robbin's on Newport and they donated all the ice cream. They all came pre scooped in containers. They also let us use a cooler to keep them in until we were ready to serve. It made the day go by so smoothly. I had a topping bar and everyone one picked up the flavor they wanted and made their own sundae. The service was friendly and professional. A seamless process. I was so grateful they made the day a success!

What is going on? This is NOT the Baskin-Robins I remember. I used to take my kids here after our library trip. Now the service is horrible. The guy was extremely rude. I ordered a birthday cake on 5/16/20. During this covid time, is it ok to call to make sure the order went through? Omg The guy yelled at me over the phone and said "the computer took your order and that meant it took your order! Stop calling!" When I went pick up the cake today on 5/17/20, the guy said "See! Your cake is ready! Please go write a review and say the cake is ready!" Is he being mistreated at work? I think he may be purposely being rude. Whatever the reason is. I would rather drive further to another Baskin-Robbins. This is so sad. I used to like everyone here. The owner needs to fire this guy ASAP if he wants to keep his business! read more

walked in and was not acknowledge my the person standing behind the counter, literally took a good 10 minutes before we were helped. another employee even saw us and said nothing. I took my son and his twin nieces here because Afters was closed due to new business hours due to COVID AND WE LOVED IT. Staff was VERY welcoming and nice and even noticed that we were first time customers and gave us a coupon for our next vist. I left telling my son and nieces that we will definitely be going back there again. And the smoothies were amazing and refreshing. And the ice cream was also very good. read more

Most of the flavors were not available, ordered a banana split, got home, and there was no banana. Owner contacted me to try and have me change the review for a 5 star by giving me a replacement banana split. Seems to have consistently do this (you can see him doing this in a response below). Him being disingenuous leads me to believe most these issues come from the top. read more

I ordered a cake from this location because yelp gave it 4 stars. I do not live close to Tustin, but wanted the best cake possible for a small birthday party. I purchased the cake the night before and went to pick it up after work the next night. The first issue was that the counter person. Lissette, was unable to find my cake. The second was she informed me that she was not trained in doing any writing or decorations on the cakes. I asked if there was anyone else working who could take care of it. I was informed no. She said that I could do it myself if I wanted writing on the cake or afix a plastic Happy Birthday sign. Not a good answer. I just hope the cake taste better than the service I received at this location. read more

I just left here and I'm so disappointed. I come here all the time for the Banana Royal and usually get really great customer service. My husband stopped by tonight and got me a 2 scoop sundae w/Winter White Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chocolate...it was supposed to be a Banana Royal but he forgot...no big deal. However, when I started to eat it, I noticed there was no Peanut Butter Chocolate ice cream in it. My husband said the gentleman was talking with someone and not very friendly but he didn't notice the second scoop of ice cream was missing. I decided to go back and took the sundae with me. I explained to the gentleman what happened and he told me he would remake it...which was good, but then he said that I just didn't see the scoop because it was all chocolate. When he remade it and added the scoop he had me look at it to make sure I saw he was adding it. People make mistakes and completely understand that...what was frustrating was how he made it seem like I was wrong...I'm sorry, but I KNOW there was only one scoop and I didn't need him to be condescending about it. I then asked if he could add the banana and I would pay the difference. I didn't want him to think I was trying to take advantage of the situation...even though I was the one that had been inconvenienced. I never got an apology for having to come back...there was no accountability on his part. Then he proceeded to charge me $2 for half a banana! Unfortunately I won't be visiting this place again...not because of the missing ice cream scoop, but because of how he reacted to it. Not sure if this is how he normally is or just an off day, but I've read other reviews with the same complaint. If he had just apologized I would have been okay with paying $2 for half a banana and the inconvenience of driving back. Very sad...I had always loved this place...but had never encountered this gentleman, who I think is the owner. Wow, even now...Fred thinks this is about the cost...only one scoop of ice cream was given the first time. I don't live right around the corner so, yes, it was an inconvenience to go back and get the second scoop. This was not an issue of not enough peanut butter...it was that the second scoop was not added at all. As a business owner you would think he would apologize and explain what he just did in his response to me. I would totally understand as I know the economic situation these days. My complaint was that a scoop was left out the sundae and when I was inconvenienced to go back, he treated me rudely as if it was my fault this happened...that's the issue. I only mentioned the cost because any other business would have apologized and maybe given me the half banana as good will...it's customer service 101. The first half of my career was in retail and customer service was priority. I would have never been rude to a customer, especially over a mistake I made. Please don't use the "there are worse problems in the world than this" excuse. Just be accountable, that's all. And, for what it's worth, I do hope you don't have to close and that your employees are okay. read more

Sweet ice cream with a ton of flavors, you really can find something you like. I drove down to this location due to the location local to me but they had almost half of their freezers broken. Really great customer service and to be frank well the only thing sweeter than all the flavors was the customer service. Not only were Chris and Rebecca super helpful but they also helped me find my new favorite flavor blueberry muffin! Will definitely come back to this location read more

I have visited three separate times to check the store before posting. All three times, I found the store clean and neat. The staff is attentive, and friendly, they have greeted me with "welcome" as soon as I walk in. The ice cream is divine, and they give large scoops. The sundae I ordered was made perfectly, with enough hot fudge and whipped cream on top. The staff was glad to provide samples when asked. They were happy to accept the coupons on my phone app without so much as blinking an eye. The store was well stocked with napkins. As an added bonus, there is even a pitcher of ice water with cups next to it. I will continue to visit this store. It is well worth it. read more

Came to this location cuz the one by my house closed down. Right when I walked thru the door I was greeted by a very nice and friendly guy, guess he was the owner.. I came to get an ice cream cake for my daughters and he saw i was looking and offered me some great deals...unfortunately I only wanted the one cake but he offered some samples that I couldn't turn down. The flavors here were some I've never seen before and looked delicious, he gave me FOUR scoops of various flavors that was freaking DELICIOUS! AND FREE! I'm definitely coming back to patronize this establishment because of the professionalism and friendliness of this guy.... read more

This Cream Pan is nothing like their FV location, which is sad because Tustin is actually the original. Inside is dingy and messy, which should have been a sign for me to walk out, but I really wanted a strawberry croissant. Big mistake! It was soggy--as if it was made yesterday. I then grabbed a knife and fork to cut into the stack of pancakes and was astonished by how... for a lack of better word, fluffy they were. Upon first bite, I expected a rush of sugar to register after a few seconds of chewing. However, that sensation never came. The pancakes were just the right level of sweet. A few minutes later, the plates were completely cleared and I was back to suffering from again reaching full capacity and thought to myself, "when will I ever learn?". Baked Banhs is located in the 4th street food market, one of the first shops you'll see if you're coming from the parking lot. Note the hours before you come (for instance, they're closed on Sundays and Mondays). And note that they seem to usually sell out of certain items by the days end. We've tried a number of different items here now including four of their canelés and their basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was solid. But we really loved their canelés. They are soft/moist on the inside with a nice crunch. And the different flavors really come through. Our favorite is the black sesame - not only is there black sesame peppered on the top but also in the center with a nice black sesame cream. It's so good and delicious. Four canelés cost $16 and thought they were well worth the price. Again, it's so sad to hear that Baked Banhs is closing soon so if you're a fan of canelés or other desserts, recommended to come sooner than later to try this out! We really hope they reopen again elsewhere or do a lot of pop-ups soon.

Slander is a legal term used to describe false statements made by one party against another. I made no false statements - unlike your response. I did not react to you rudely when you came in, your staff had no issues with me, and you were parked far longer than 8 min. You are clearly angry, but evidently not contrite. You broke the law (CA sections 22511.7 and 22511.8), but you justify that because you are a good person who donates to charity. Sadly, your reaction is typical of someone who gets called out for parking in handicapped. It is a rare person who can simply take accountability and say they are sorry. I would give this place zero stars if I could, came here for my birthday scoop, some guys came in after me, The worker/owner(elderly man with few hair) asked me what I wanted, then quickly moved on to the guys behind me, and said, I'll get you guys first, they were hesitant, and eventually he got the point, and told me he didn't have to service me first because I wasn't paying. Literally the worst service in the world. Ice cream was good though, go to any other location. The only reason there's good reviews it's bc they bribe people by having the "give us a Yelp review for free scope". Also the owner is a dick for telling me I have bad attitude. I got a great deal from Groupon for a catering at my house. The staff delivered 5 flavors of ice cream all of which I chose and was PLENTY! The girl who serviced our party was very kind and made sure everyone got enough wet/dry toppings. Overall I'd say we got more than what we expected and the groupon deals are totally worth it! They also have $14 for $20 groupon toward anything so you can buy a cake at a discount. I'm surprised that this store has such bad ratings because as a regular customer, every time I go in I feel welcomed and notice the hard work the staff puts into each shift especially when it comes to making customers happy. 15/10 would recommend. I have been going to Baskin-Robbins all my life. Growing up i just used to call it the "pink store" and get so excited every time my parents would take me here. All of the people working here at this Baskin-Robbins are as sweet as their ice cream. They always have the biggest, most friendly smiles on their faces and give you endless samples! which is great for the very indecisive person that I always am. I went in today and saw the owner/manage treat his employee poorly. Says a lot about him as a business owner when he does that infront of customers. Can't believe I watched him scream at a young teen and kick her out of the store. Won't be coming back any time soon, like come on let's treat our employees like human beings! Shame on you read more

Was so cold but I was talked into having ice cream. So glad I did as I found a favorite new flavor. The Pineapple Coconut is amazing!! Isaac helped us out tonight with my daughter and her friend. I absolutely love 31 Baskin Robbins! Their ice cream is always so delicious and creamy, and they have so many flavors to choose from. Baskin Robbins is just too finger licking good. There are soooo many varieties/flavours of ice-cream that reading the names, mouth starts watering! I've always loved Butter pecan, Snickers, Reeses, Banana Split and banana royal Thanks Lulu & team for such wonderful ice-creams and customer service:) read more

Went I went in I was greeted by the manager he helped us out and gave us samples from all the ice cream that we wanted to try. Fastest service I've ever received from the guy up front his names chris. Got a double scoop of the cookies and cream, absolutely outstanding ice cream. read more

Ordered an ice cream cake with a custom photo and it came out perfect. Manager was very nice and helped us light candles with his own lighter since we forgot to bring one. He gave utensils too and coupons for buy one get one free ice cream scoops read more
