Eating lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe was a guilty pleasure when I lived near one in CA. I can't believe I've lived in TX a few years and yesterday was my first time at Bazille in the Stonebriar Mall! I had lunch here with my 3 year old granddaughter. She received a coloring pamphlet/menu and crayons to keep her busy while we waited for what turned out to be a delicious lunch. I had the Warm Asian Glazed Chicken salad - full of textures, sweet glaze, crunchy noodles, a variety of lettuces and a perfectly cooked chicken breast. The little one had a grilled cheese with tomato soup. She asked the waiter, Roberto, for noodle soup and he patiently told her they only had tomato or crab bisque. I would have eaten her crab bisque but she chose the tomato and almost ate it all up! She also got a fruit cup with "fresh" fruit, not the slimy fruit that comes out of plastic bags at other restaurants. It was a lovely, relaxed lunch and we'll be back soon! Just sat down at the bar at 6:31 and the happy hour sheet was on the table showing till 6:30. I didn't realize it was one minute after happy hour was over and the waitress came over and I was going to order a drink off the happy hour menus and the waitress said as she lifted the happy hour menus, " Sorry Happy Hour Is Over". One minute after.. really. She also was sarcastic about the whole thing as well. read more

Tried Bazille restaurant last night for the first time. I ordered the pan roasted chicken. It was delicious but while eating the chicken, I noticed the chicken wasn't cooked all the way so I waited for the waitress to come back to our table. I ate on the salad for a bit. When she finally made it back to our table, I showed her the raw chicken and let her know it wasn't cooked all the way. She apologized and went to talk to the chef. She comes back to our table and explains to me that the chef let her know the dish had a chicken breast and thigh. I must have been cutting into the chicken thigh which is a dark meat and might look pink. I couldn't believe they were arguing with me on whether the chicken was cooked all the way or not. Everyone else at the table agreed it looked raw and I shouldn't eat it. I ended up taking the dish to go so I could show my husband when I got home. When I took the chicken out of the to go container and showed my husband, he agreed with me that sections of that chicken were completely raw. I think they meant to call this place braille cus i felt blind trying to find this place. Apple maps didn't help either but if my navigator just told me it was inside Nordstrom, it would have saved me from circling the mall. I get what they're trying to do here, have a place to eat and drink while your lady does shopping but I'm not sure if it'll work. Their cocktails are exciting and intriguing but not so great on alcohol. French onion soup was just the right amount of flavor and saltiness. The chicken, not so much. I've never had such dry chicken in my life. After every bite, I needed a drink of water to stop from choking. Service was friendly but that chicken left a bad taste in my mouth. I guess you could go here while your lady is shopping but why would you go with her in the first place? read more

Ok. Picture this, Wife is shopping and I'm bored strolling around Nordstroms and a lady asks if I'm hungry, clearly not a pickup line I was puzzled, but entertained the question with a "I love food" With her directions, I upstairs and to my surprise there is a little restaurant hidden behind rows of clothing. My wife as well joins me, as we walk up to the bar, Cliff and Chrystal were quick to welcome me. They have a full bar and a nice menu. For me, the way to see how a bar works is to order a drink that isn't in a bottle and had more then two ingredients. Cliff clearly knows his way around behind the bar, he whipped me up some tasty drink based off of what I was feeling. Chrystal did the same for my wife. Zero complaints with the service and their ability to make a killer drink. On to the food. Mind you, I'm virtually sitting 15 feet away from where someone is choosing clothing off a rack so I'm not to sure how blown away I could possibly be. I was wrong. When you open the menu you clearly see they are not trying to replicate a typical bar with some fries and a hotdog. I ordered the handmade Gnocchi with lamb Ragu- Yeah.. You read that right. Now just because it's on the menu doesn't mean its gonna be good. I was pleasantly surprised, they clearly have some skilled chefs working here. This dish was prepared perfectly. OK, This review is too long. The takeaway Maybe because this restaurant isn't grouped together with the rest in the mall makes it feel a bit out of place, but I a can say the people behind Bazille as well as those that great you have it together. Next time you're in the mall maybe waiting for your wife or girlfriend to finish spending your money, stop up for a drink or a snack ... rest assured you will not be disappointed. Edit: I'm going to up my rating on this place because the Regional Manager reached out to me pretty much immediately. He was not rude or put out and wanted to make it right. I think that is awesome customer service. We went last night for a Yelp Elite event with some friends and sadly the food was less than great. It was a free four course meal with signature cocktails. It started out with the French Onion soup, which was pretty good. The Kale & Manchiego Salad was not bad either but a little over dressed. From there, the food just seemed to get worse. Next was the Heirloom Tomatoes & Burrata, the cheese was a bit soggy as were the homemade croutons. Finally, the star of the show was the Seared Chicken Breast. It was extremely dry and seemed like it was cooked 3 hours prior and sitting underneath a heat lamp until we got it. I understand that this was a free event for the Yelp Elite but you would think they would present their best foot forward. The staff looked over whelmed and it just was not organized. I will say their signature cocktails were delicious. For the price they charge for the food, I don't think I will be back. read more

My wife and I split an order of Cilantro Lime Chicken Tacos and an order of Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad for lunch today. Our waiter Walter brought us some awesome Bistro rolls with Olive Tapenade. Plenty of food to share and really low in calories- but you wouldn't know it from the taste! The Ginger Peach tea was super! Highly recommend and we will be going back! Ask for Walter! read more

We went here for Mother's Day and have been several times before. We have never been disappointed. Phenomenal food choices and attentive service. The complimentary bread and wine list is as good as is gets. Tip: Nordstrom's let you walk around with an adult beverage purchased from Bazille. read more

Went to Bazille for a quick lunch today and was extremely disappointed with the service. Our server took 10-15 min to greet our table and once he finally did we were ready to order our drinks and entree. Told us he would bring us bread and ended up not bringing it until our food came out while everyone around us was getting is way before us and they were seated after us. Never refilled our drinks or even offered and I was dying for some more water. Never checked on us not even once again after our food came out and we had to wave him down for our check. We were seriously the easiest table and he failed terribly. If you want a 20 percent tip you at least have to refill my water glass once, that's not asking for much right? Food was wonderful so I wish my tip could go to the kitchen staff instead. I have the server/bartenders name but won't put it on here publicly as that would be mean but if management wants to send me a private message I will tell you who this was so he can be spoken to. read more

Wonderful lunch here with a friend! Absolutely delicious food! We shared a seasonal special pizza with prosciutto and arugula and a Caesar salad... for sure enough for two people and in fact, my friend took home leftovers of both items. Service was very good. Our waiter Paul seemed spread a bit thin as though maybe they were short staffed but he definitely worked hard to make sure our service was good. I love Bazile that's located on the second floor of Nordstrom's in the Stonebriar Centre. For us, it's a great place for a date night--attentive service, excellent food and quiet atmosphere with music playing gently in the background. My favorite entrees so far are the Korean BBQ braised beef with charred bok choy, the warm Asian chicken salad and the prosciutto and arugula pizza. Brand new restaurant just opened up at Nordstrom store in Frisco. I love going out and eating at new places that put a intriguing method on their food, oh and the food, it's spectacular! Great prices, for the best quality. It's a scratch kitchen so every single dish is prepared right then and there. And if you want you can actually see the chiefs cooking your meal!! To top it off you have to try their cocktails. So many good choices, I'd suggest the Billionaire or even this fun one, Kiss my Cranberries. The servers are very friendly and accommodating!!
