Ordered whole soy garlic bone-in wings (18 pieces; $30.99), half BB bone-in wings (9 pieces; $16.99), rose ddeok-bokki ($13.99), and sweet potato fries ($5.99). Our food came with 3 decent sized containers of pickled radish as well. Food was enough to feed four with a few wings leftover. Waited about 30 minutes to eat after picking up the food and the wings were still very crispy. Wish they packaged the fries in a similar box because that got soggy super quick. Like with any Korean fried chicken wings - the flavor gets a little overwhelming after a while but the pickled radish definitely helps. Definitely worth a try. read more

This is absolutely my new favorite Korean fried chicken. I don't think I've had any better. I usually prefer bones over boneless, but they manage to cut their boneless wings so that they have extra surface area for extra crunchiness plus the chicken stays moist inside and you can also get bone in wing or whole chicken if you prefer. It's hard to pick a favorite flavor. We've sampled the Soy Garlic, Secret Spicy, Galbi and the Original. All of them have a serious depth of flavors with varying degrees of garlic, spicy, sweet and savory. I'm sure there is a sauce for everyone here. I've been passing this place on my way to work for some time now, and finally had the time and appetite to check it out. I ordered the Garlic Honey Half order through yelp for pick up and then got to the store to see that the prices were cheaper! That was pretty aggravating, I mean i wasn't getting it delivered. What the heck! The chicken was very tasty and super crunchy just like i had hoped it would be. I love how this is real chicken meat and not some over processed chain type chicken. The Medical Director at the rehab center where I work is Korean. We wanted to surprise him with some good Korean chicken rather than the typical meeting food: sandwiches, beef, chicken, fish, salad, etc. My staff was excited to try Korean chicken as I had been bragging about the Korean chicken I got at Furai Chicken in La Habra and they never tried it. We would have gone back to Furai for our meeting food, but they didn't have many side dishes. So, one of my social workers recommended bb.q for not only it's chicken, but it's sides. We got 4 different types/flavors of chicken, from spicy to mild. All had a satisfying crispness, not crunchy, but crisp, and were not dried out. The pickled and cubed radish needed more time in the vinegar marinade (at least according to my Korean social worker). She said, "I don't make it this way..." The kimchi fried rice was good, as were the sweet potato fries. The location, right off of Chapman and State College is really tight! There are many restaurants there and if you are picking up a to go order at lunch time, you'll need a lot of patience just to navigate the lot, much less find a space to park. The good thing is that this place is prompt! I called and said I'd be there at 11:45 (an odd time, I know, but my meeting started at noon). Believe it or not, when I got there at 11:43, after I was done paying, the chicken was in my hands at...11:45! The store is small and was crowded. I can only imagine how much more crowded this place would be after classes got out at CSF across the street. Is it as good as Furai? In my opinion, no. It's a bit of a drive from my work and the parking situation is terrible. But it does offer more variety and more sides. So, for good tasting Korean Fried Chicken (KFC), good tasting sides and the prompt service, bb.q Chicken is worth a try... or two or three. Just remember, this KFC ISN'T from Kentucky...and that makes a world of difference. read more

Bbq chicken is normally my favorite place to go with my girlfriend besides today. I decided to go to this location and disregard the reviews cause it was a little closer than the normal. Biggest mistake of my life. First of all they were out of ranch. Than they forgot to get the radish I ordered in which I had to remind them several times. Than worst of all the wings they served us were barely even wings. They were smaller than McDonald's nuggets and to add onto that the sauce was poorly distributed with some wings being completely dumped in sauce and others having non at all. I figured the fries must be amazing since they were recommended but nope - tasted like fried cardboard. It amazes me that it could take so long to create such a horrible meal. 8/5/2021: They just opened 2 weeks ago. Soy garlic fried chicken is my favorite flavor and this place is pretty good. The soy and garlic flavors are on point and you can def taste the garlic! Their fried chicken is one of my favorites in the area where I live. It's crispy on the battered skin and juicy on the meats. The price keeps going up for all different reasons, but I patronize BB.Q Chicken whenever I crave some good fried chicken. One side note is they don't give you enough radish pickles. I like BB.Q Chicken, and I have tried several branches, but this location is by far the worst one. We ordered Cheeseling and Secret Spicy, but the quality of both flavors was really bad. The chicken was so dry, like chewing wood sticks. It seems the chicken was extremely dry, possibly because they're selling re-fried leftover chickens. The Secret Spicy sauce has a weird, stale, old, vinegary aftertaste, and the Cheeseling powder was crumbled, like old, stale cookies. Now, I can see why this place has many low-rating reviews and is known for poor-quality Korean chicken in town. Their food is great but their service needs to be improved, seems like they like to take advantage of high school students. High school students don't have a lot of time to eat properly whether during lunch or before after school activities begin. Numerous times my daughter and her friends placed orders and were not able to eat because their orders were not ready or the order was entered incorrectly. My rating for a business that can not handle things like these will remain a 1 star until Yelp comes out with a negative system. First time coming here, super weird experience. It feels like a fast food establishment but the wait times for food is roughly 30 min for a single order. I saw several customers leave because of the wait time for food. I ordered the Soy Garlic Lunch Combo with Fries. About 5-6 pieces of chicken with a good flavor cooked well. But the fries had no salt on them. Not sure why...when I asked the girl up front for some salt for the fries it was like I was from another planet. The cook in the back poured some salt in sample cup. Odd Portions were pretty good but $14 was a little steep when the drink came in can. Also I was given 4 packets of ketchup. First time at this location but I've been to the other locations in the surrounding areas of Fullerton. We came around late dinner time and no one was there. The service was extremely aggressive and it was horrible. The staff member didn't even care to give us a menu or even welcome us. Again we were the only ones there. The staff member didn't even bother to ask us if we were ready to get our order taken and we asked if we should order online. Having been to other locations, we had the expectations that the food would taste the same. While waiting for our order, we watched the staff member package take out orders and would lick their fingers bagging up the orders. Time and time again and noticed they didn't wash their hands. We were ready to leave and just cancel our order. Our order came and it was basically tossed onto the table. It was disgusting how the staff member treated us. It felt like we were burdening them for coming in to have dinner. The environment was very aggressive and unsettling.
