I bought the Groupon knowing I'm getting what I paid for, but even at half the price, I don't think having eyelash extensions done here is worth it. I paid $20 extra with her telling me they would last longer, but my lashes are uneven on both sides and falling out after day 2. They're also tugging at my lashes ehich means they'll probably pull my lashes out when they fall out. I'm pretty disappointed and would not recommend Groupon or not. I'll probably have them removed soon. read more

This is my 2nd time (1st time was 2yrs ago) coming to Tina for eyebrows. The experience was fabulous - no pain at all (yes, not at all & my pain-resistance level is extremely low). Decided to treat myself and get some some eyelash extensions for my birthday. Ally is amazing! Really nice, professional, takes the time to explain everything to you, etc. I ended up getting a mix of the full and dramatic at a pretty good price since they were running a summer promo. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the finished product, but it definitely looked like I had both mascara and liner on - nope! Just amazing eyelash extensions :) Ally's a well-rounded aesthetician, so i'll have to be back for a facial or a wax or something. I purchased a Groupon for eyelash extensions last month. Quick appointment set-up with Darlene, very reasonable price (main draw for me). Just not a great experience overall including longevity and experience. Like someone mentioned in a past review, they use Scotch tape under your eyes which made for a pretty uncomfortable experience. At other salons I've gone to they've at least used pads that were shaped to fit under the eyes; if I'm going to be laying down getting things done on my eyes for 1+ hour, I think I'll splurge on a more comfy place. The results looked nice enough, but the glue felt crusty on my lash line (and did for another two days). When I brought this up, I was told that the glue was dry. Noticeable amount of shedding within first week. Overall, not terrible, but not great. Inexpensive for a full set, but I'm sticking to my other lash place. read more

I went to Beatrice for a spa pedicure before heading on vacation to Maui June 2011. I made an appointment ahead of time and had no problem getting my preferred time. When I arrived they were expecting me and I was greeted with a smile. The pedicure was great.Very good work and an awesome calf/foot massage. I could have fallen asleep it was so good and relaxing. I had a french spa pedi with flowers on my big toe's for just under $30. Very reasonable prices. Which is hard to find in this area! It's now almost 3 weeks later and the pedicure still looks good. I have put on an additional clear coat midway to help it last. Overall friendly service, good pedicure, and excellent massage. Just be careful not to get up-sold. They like to offer you their other services, manicures, waxes, etc. I will be going back for another pedi this summer. =) read more

For waxing... Tina is incredibly thorough in her waxwork. She is also very personable, making her clientele feel a good level of comfort, which is supremely important when in the compromising position of getting your privates waxed. Prices are reasonable. Tammy did my lashes and I love them I called for an appointment and she got me in the very next day! I asked for a natural look with medium sized lashes. There's one shorter than what you see in the photo and she also offers a longer lash (3 length options). The tape under my eyes was a bit uncomfortable AT FIRST; but after a few minutes I didn't even feel it anymore. I dozed off a few times haha. She's so gentle with this process. Her accent is a bit thick; but I was able to communicate well enough and she is so sweet! The price was $59; but l gave a her a nice tip. The lash fills are $50. I use to hit up Beatrice's once every month for a spa pedicure but lately I've been lagging. ): Anyway, even though this place isn't close to where I live (ESSJ), it's the only place I go to for pedicures (I can only speak for pedicure 'cause I can't handle fake nails and my nails are too short to spend $$$ on.. hehe). The women hear actually LISTEN to what you have to say/ what you want done. They're not overly pushy at trying to up sell you. However, when they've recommended additional services to me in the past and I declined, the lady didn't start talking crap about me in Vietnamese. And their prices are inexpensive; especially for the service you receive. Also, they accept walk-ins except on Sundays and they have a frequent customer card where after 9 visits, your 10th is free! (Or I think it works that way, I'll check later when I get the card out of my car) read more

The BEST massage not from a person I've ever had. They have these very special massage chairs that get right in there up and down your spine, all the way up to those tense spots in your neck. mmmm. oohhh. yeah, right there. Yeah, and Tina, the owner does great work and is very cool and friendly. Otherwise it's your basic nail shop in a little strip mall. But those massage chairs earn an extra star. I was extremely skeptical when I had bought a groupon for eyelash extensions then seen some of the Yelp reviews, especially since this would be my FIRST time. However, I was extremely pleased with this place! I called after I purchased the groupon and asked when they were available. Made an appointment for the next day (today) at 2pm. Tammy text me later that night to confirm my appointment and again the next morning to see if I'd like to come in earlier at noon. I agreed for noon. Tammy was so so sweet when I showed up. She took me to a private room and we chatted for a little while she explained the process and the dos and don'ts for aftercare. She then went on to say how she can only do the dramatic set I wanted if I returned the groupon, but still would only have to pay $59 there. It didn't bother me at all whatsoever. I was still paying the discounted price, and I understand that third parties take partial profit from sales so I rather pay it all to them anyways. The whole thing took an hour and a half. I did 10/13's cause I like them longer and more noticeable. I was so so happy to look in the mirror after and feel so pretty without makeup but gorgeous lashes! Thank you Tammy! I love Darlene. I've been going to her for eyelash extensions for the past year and I don't see myself going to anyone else. She's always so accommodating to my schedule and really tries to make sure that I get my appointments regularly - and she's incredibly busy so that means so much more. As soon as I lay on her bed, she's fast and efficient which is incredibly hard to find for eyelash extensions, not to mention that she's knowledgeable on the right set for you. Made appointment through Groupon I purchased and was sent to another salon. I was called by multiple people confirming multiple times and texted me a bunch of times. Finally on the day of my appointment I show up at Bollinger salon and am told my appointment is three hours later- mind you it took me an hour to get there... I was upset by cordial. The lady was rude and said to go to another salon AGAIN at a different time and she would see me. She was rude while confirming my service and appointment AND cashed my Groupon out before I arrived. I found this out because I called Groupon to complain and ask for my money back. I was called and texted multiple times and told I would get a free lash application by one of the owners the following week because of my bad experience... I already knew it wasn't free- she cashed out my Groupon. I told her yes and we set a time. THEN I was called and texted a bunch of times with alternate address and times. VERY disorganized, dishonest, misleading (lashes applied are different than offered on Groupon), THIEVES! I've never experienced treatment like this. VERY BAD SALON. I was referred to Beatrice by one of my gym buddies for Brazilian waxings. I'm prepping for a fitness show, so needed to get that area in-shape for the high cut bikinis. I've been there three times for waxings by 2 different ladies. Both have been very professional. The waxings were great and as painless as they could be. My last visit there, Nancy who did my waxing stayed late to give me a a pedicure and french manicure. Very sweet of her! The pedicure was thorough and the polish has still lasted 3 weeks later. Beatrice has a selection of Opi polishes. The manicure only lasted a couple of days before it started chipping. I am pretty tough on my hands though. The service there is excellent and the technicians are very sweet and accommodating Definitely will go again! read more

I have nothing but compliments for this salon and I have been coming here since I was 15 years old...which roughly translates to almost 10 years now...I got my first eyebrow wax from Beatrice herself. Now, even though Beatrice has moved on, I rely on Tina (the new owner) to keep my eyebrows looking nice. Recently, I have started seeing Nancy for my waxing needs, she is the sweetest person and does an amazing job. Kim is amazing with nails and she is the only person whom I request when getting a manicure or pedicure. Don't get your lashes done here! I made an appointment with Darlene through a Groupon I'd purchased. Before getting them done, she explained that the Groupon only covered a very 'natural' look. I asked what that meant as I'd gotten extensions done before and they turned out just fine--there was never a differentiation between natural and more volume. Anyway, I said I wanted more volume and less spaces between the lashes. She recommended I go one notch up than the one I'd purchased and that it'd be $20 extra. Ok, fine. I went with it. The lashes took about an hour to do. Meanwhile, she picked up the phone a few times talking right into my head. After they were done, they looked good so I thanked her and left. After I exited the salon is when the horror started. My eyes watered heavily and it felt like something was stuck inside my eye, so I called her and let her know about the discomfort to which she said the glue was probably bothering me. She said if it doesn't clear up within the next hour, then call me and come back in. It got better after the first hour but then began bothering me again at night. We were leaving for an international trip the next night and between packing and taking care of my child, I didn't have time to go back in to get them fixed. During the next few days, the eyelashes began to fall off while the glue irritated my eyes so much. They lasted no more than 1 week despite taking the due care to not use too much product on my eyes. I texted Darlene after I got back from my trip and she said it was my fault as I hadn't come back in. That was that. About $70 down the drain. Never going back thanks :) read more

Normally don't give 5 stars to the business but Tina provided an excellent service to the customers. I come back every year to retouch my eye blows and counted on today it has been 3 yrs. She's nice and patient. Give suggestion to find the best style to match your face/shape/personality. The salon cleaniness has room to improve but herself has excellent cosmetic skills. AVOID THIS PLACE FOR LASH EXTENSIONS. After reading the rave reviews about Tammy, I decided this would be a good place to get my lashes done. I made an appointment and they told me I'd be with Darlene, whom I Yelp searched, but the first couple reviews on her are great as well--LOOK CLOSER, FRIENDS. As many have said, she told me to return the Groupon and she'd give me a full set for the same price. I've had lash extensions three times before this, so I THOUGHT I knew what to expect. Darlene was nice enough. She had me lay down on a pretty comfy table and taped my lower eyelashes down. The three times I've had it done previously, they use these neat-o little pads that are meant to go under your eyes. I don't know what the hell Darlene was using, but she used a lot of it--it may have even just been freaking Scotch tape--super uncomfortable. She then starts the process, and NEVER have I ever had lash extensions hurt. It felt like she was pulling out my own lashes and stabbing new ones in. Even now, 24 hours later, if I close my eyes I feel the lashes poking my water line--it's painful and makes my eyes water. Additionally, she was placing the lashes and pressing on my eyeball. I told her it hurt and she took note, but did it again a few minutes later. To top it all off, the lashes on my left eye are much thicker at the outer corner and point down, giving one eye a downward look. When she was done, she was 'double checking' her work and had me open my eyes, then yanked one lash out without even telling me. My eyelids have been tender since, and she put some lashes on my left eye way above my natural lashline. There is also a noticeable gap in one eye. As cheap as it may be, the whole experience was downright painful, and they don't seem to care about customer comfort. read more
