Came here a few weeks ago on a lovely Saturday afternoon. My husband and I are not big brewery goers, but we were curious because it's in our neighborhood and the venue looked really cool! We really liked that they have various pop up restaurants to and the weekend we visited they had a dumpling vendor! We loved the spacious layout, with tons of outdoor and partially indoor seating. The two brewery cats are also an endearing touch for cat lovers like us (one was lazing on the bar top!). We shared a flight of beer, which was a wonderful recommendation by the staff to try 4 different beers. The basil in the Lincoln Heights were our favorites but all were unique and delicious. We also tried a watermelon cider in the other building, which was a bit more intimate. Definitely recommend for beer lovers and people who just wanna hang and have a nice time socializing! This place sucks. Blows my mind it has good reviews. The beer selection is awful, and fruit flies are everywhere (you know they're in the tap lines). Obviously I'd prefer to have tried more ciders, but inexplicably the cider section doesn't have a bar you can sit at (but the beer section does). Not fun for a solo guest to just go sit outside with their cider at an empty table. The one cider I had was meh, couldn't try more because they said they weren't doing flights right now....even though the cashier beside me literally just made someone a flight. Also she didn't even ask if I wanted to start a tab and just closed my card. Vexed I spent so much on an uber to try this place out. read more

First time coming here last weekend and it was better than I expected. From the outside, it looks like a run down red shack. But the entrance is on the side and you see how cool their outdoor setup is. They have indoor seating, bar seating, firepits and two sides - one for cider and one for beers. Benny boy is by far my favorite breweries. The staff is top tier, they're great at what they do and some of the friendliest people I know, it truly feels like family when we visit. I'm not even a fan of ciders/ beer but I absolutely love their drinks. My favorite, R.I.P was the midnight swim. Other than that, I like their seasonal ciders. One of my favorite things about this place is the scenery, for being right next to a freeway, it doesn't feel that way. You can choose from outdoor/ indoor seating & on chilly nights they'll have the fire pits going. If you follow them on instagram they'll update you on the vendors they'll be hosting or you can just refer to their website. Bonus; if you love cats, Later and Al are always ready to walk all up in your space. As for parking, I recommend Uber if you're in the Lincoln heights area.. parking is a little scarce depending on the time you arrive, but they do offer valet on the weekends so there's always that option. I really enjoyed this spot. Pro: great options for beer. You can also make your beer into a snake bite (half beer/half cider) or a Michelada. It's mostly outside, but there are seats both inside and out. Their bathrooms are clean and have several stalls (for the females). They also have food options there as well. My friend had a gathering here, so she was able to reserve a fire pit for us, so that kept us warm. Con: parking is almost impossible. They do have a valet option, not sure how much it is. I ended up finding a spot in the neighborhood and then walked. A few Blocks so not bad. It's outside, so I'm sure this spot is amazing during summer. But if you don't have a fire pit, be sure to dress warm and bundle up! Great vibe though, I'll definitely be back! read more

Pro: spacious, cozy. Tip: parking is crazy, plan ahead. They have $14 valet tho. Celebrated my friend's birthday here last night! BBB is a spacious brewery to catch up with friends. There was about 17 of us and we fit comfortably. It is a very laid back atmosphere with a variety of both beers and ciders. I loved the Christmas decor, they had two trees, lights and the fire pit. I could sit at the fire pit all day! They also had a few food vendors when we arrived, however, they sold out rather quickly! Parking in the area is a mess, however, there is $14 valet parking as an option. Drinks: I had one of their wheat beers as well as the cider and both were tasty. They have a a good variety, however, I wish they had more unique drinks available. The michelada my friend got was a good sized and well balanced. I think I will try the flight next time. Finally got a chance to visit here and man was this place alive! I came by to see my friends play in a live karaoke band (Casual Encounters Karaoke). This place was popping even with a little drizzle. Outdoor patio was beautifully lit and people cozied up near the fire pits. They brew highly crafted beers and ciders. So easy to keep drinking here. They also had Awesome food vendors. Service was quick and friendly. Street Parking is definitely a challenge and at your own risk. They do offer $15 valet parking. But as soon as your ride is settled, all is good inside. read more

Been coming here for years. But as of yesterday I had a bad experience with Julian being disrespectful. And snatching my drink from the table and snatching it from my cousins hand. Then the manager Carlos didn't do much to fix the issue. Besides the refund which money isn't the issue. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. Keep an eye out for a worker named Julian and stay out of his way so he doesn't ruin your experience and takes your drink away. read more

This place is so cool. Parking is a bit sketchy, but once you're inside, it's worth it. There are two sides, one for beer and one for cider, and a cool place to hang in the middle that includes misters. They also have real live cats which made the experience so much better! read more

A really cool brewery/cider house. They had many options for both beers and ciders. The ciders were very unique flavors, I would definitely recommend trying a flight. They also had different food vendors inside, a screen for the football game and fire pits. Very cool, however it is all open and was quite cold for this "California winter" so I was suggest dressing warmly if it's not hot outside. I came here with some friends on a Saturday night for some drinks and dinner. They have two bars, one inside to order, and another in their outside patio. Be warned that you cannot order pitchers from the outside patio, so just a heads up. Parking was sort of tough becuase it was a Saturday night so some of us had to park down the street under the bridge, but we got lucky and snagged a spot near Tom's. They had tons of tables and chairs outside to hangout. It was a very chill vibe and we discovered the brewery has an outdoor cat who hangs around the area. They had music playing inside and some people were dancing, but if that is not your vibe you can post up outside. They also usually have a food truck or some vendor selling food. It took about an hour or so for our entire party to get our food which was rough considering how hungry we were. Be warned if you are getting food there that it might take way longer then expected. Prices on drinks were pretty standard and nothing out of the ordinary. read more

On Saturday, they had a taco stand and a food truck conveniently on the premises. My only complaint goes down to the parking availability. Can be tricky and difficult. It has a chill vibe with indoor and outdoor seating with tv screens showing the games, dog friendly (yes!!!), serves cider and wine in one of the houses while the other serves beer. I mean, what more do you want? This place has it all. I also had THE BEST michelada I've ever had.. yes, and I am not even a big fan of them but here.. they are the best! I had more than one for sure and plan to go back for more. There is plenty of spaces to hang out with your friends, clean restrooms and friendly staff. If you're looking to reserve a spot here, don't do so. I reserved a spot for 15-20 people for 300 dollars for 4 hours and the space allotted to us only accommodated 10 people at most. If you're on the heavier side, you wouldn't fit on the bungalow tbh, this place is fat-phobic. read more

It seems the only negative reviews are from people with cat allergies and people complaining about not being able to bring their kids, an A+ in my book. Probably the only brewery that serves beer straight from the tank which is great! the indoor and outdoor areas are spacious. What more could you ask for? Went to Benny Boy to see Jessica Fichot perform with her band, as always, she was wonderful. On hand were two food pop ups. There was plenty of seating and having a mister was a nice touch. I tried two beers, the Triple Trouble and the Midnight Swim, both were tasty so I had seconds of both. The staff were friendly and served up the brews in a timely manner. Only one complaint, no napkins. I don't understand how you could not have any type of napkin available. I was told that I could get paper towels from the bathroom! Crummy brown paper towels you would find at a high school gym I find unacceptable. read more

We had a great time checking this local brewery out. Highly recommend you check it out! They have a decent selection of beer, not as many as some of the other breweries in LA but they had enough of a selection that everyone in our group found something they loved. One of the coolest parts of this brewery is that they have an entire separate bar for ciders, with a selection of at least 6 ciders to choose from. The service was friendly and informative. The ambiance was my favorite part of the brewery with indoor and outdoor seating along with bon fires. We will definitely be back and will bringing our friends and family when they come to town. Truly one of the best breweries in Los Angeles. Chelsea & Benny (the owners) are absolutely, unapologetically amazing and their staff does not fall far behind. I drove past this place constantly on the freeway and thought we should try that spot out and finally got around to doing so. It's a cool little small setup, with a tap room, a cellar room for your ciders and a nice outdoor patio. One of the only places I've seen that pour directly out of the tank so you know you're getting some fresh beer. I have not been to the brewery but Benny Boy was at a Cider Fest in Atascadero a few weeks back. We really enjoyed all of the ciders they had to taste, but the real reason for my 5-star review is their owner/brewmaster Benny. I talked to him about my attempts to make cider with apples from my apple tree in my backyard and he gave me a TON of great information. We talked about different types of yeast and methods of fermentation and he gave me some tips on fermenting, like keeping my vessel in a water bath to keep the temperature at an even number. Benny's a great guy that makes some great cider. I still have some family down in San Diego so the next time we make a trip down, we'll be sure to stop by Benny Boy on the way. read more

Loving this new place! It's so nice to have a new brewery in north east LA area. There are hardly any and to have one off the 5 freeway in Lincoln heights is great! It's a pretty large space with plenty of seating Indoor and outdoor. Great first pits and feels super chill. Parking is kind of a pain but ehhh... it's worth it. The beer is good and the overall is a vibe. Sometimes one doesn't want to have to drive to the arts district to have a nice brewery feel. I think now they are finally leaving the sound on for dodger games (even on weeknights)! Hopefully they can edit their system to play music and the game at the same time :) but I know I'm a picky audio freak LOL! Anyway! Don't wait to come over there and support this place!
