Went during lunch, mind you the inside was not busy, don't know about pickup orders looked at the menu ahead of time and wanted the daily special which was teriyaki chicken and 4 piece gyoza. I went up to register ordered the chicken teriyaki and Gyoza. When the staff read my total I asked: that's how much your daily special is? She said you didn't order lunch special you have to say lunch special. I clarified what o wanted and she said she would adjust. I paid, left a tip and grabbed receipt. It came out to $32. I looked on the receipt and she charged me $10 for an order of gyoza. I asked to speak to the staff who I believe was a manager and she said because I didn't specify lunch special that was how she rung up order. I pointed out I clarified I wanted lunch special prior to paying. She told me she couldn't adjust and would have to void entire order and start again. Since I was with a group i didn't want to hold anybody up. Mind you I ordered not even five minutes after my colleagues. I sat down and they brought up people's food one by one. They brought the gyoza order and I asked for a box. My food was not coming. Fifteen minutes later (12:29) I asked one of the workers if my order was coming out. She told me: they're working on it. Finally at 12:43 they brought out the food and I said can you just put it in a to go box, I have to leave. She took the plate. At 12:50 I got up to tell them I wanted to cancel and she was handing me my order. I told her I no longer wanted it and would like money back. The manager came to speak to me and said the same thing. I didn't specify lunch special. I told her that was no longer issue and pointed out how long it took for my order to arrive. It was not lost on me that I complained and surprise surprise my order took a long time. The mgr said because I asked for it to go they had to re-fire the food. Not ounce did she offer a partial refund much less a full. She never even apologized. And just as I thought, my food was lukewarm at best. This place went downhill. This place used to be good but now it's not the best. Food is salty. They had to change my drink twice because the cups had black stuff on it(yuck). Shared parking lot. Clean interior. Some outdoor seating and lots of indoor seating. Not many dine-in customers at the lunch hour on a weekday. No hand sanitizer for customers, and the staff do not wear masks. Couldn't find this location's website for online ordering, so I had to do a phone order and paid at pickup. The service was okay. The ETA was 15 minutes for one roll, and my order was ready within that timeframe. For every order, you get a pair of chopsticks and toothpick. For every roll, you get one soy sauce packet. The SMUD roll was good. The tempura was nice and crunchy. When I ordered from here a few years ago, the shrimp tail would still be attached, but it looks like they cut it off nowadays. The cucumber was crunchy, and the avocado wasn't super ripe. The flavors of the hamachi and unagi were overshadowed by the orange sauce on top of the roll. The sauce had a mild-medium spice. To be honest, the roll wasn't filling enough for the price of $12-13. The number of pieces hasn't changed, but it feels like the size of rolls has decreased over the years. If I could give this place a negative star I would. I came in ordered my food paid for my food and after I paid for my food they then told me that my meal was going to take 30 minutes. To which she replied your only choice is to pay again. I can't even imagine that this is so common practice at a chain restaurant. I will not ever go back, nor would I ever recommend this place. Never had an issue asking for a chef to torch my sushi to my liking until today. The restaurant manager argued with me about why they could not do such service to torch my salmon and refused to refund my money even after I told them ahead of time that I wanted the salmon on top of my sushi torched . This was my first time trying Bento Box and it was soo good I literally came back in the same week! I placed my order online which was extremely easy and food was ready on time as they said it would be. The first time I ordered the Bento Box and I was taken back at how well packaged and how much food there was. But no seriously the packaging on the to-go bento box was 10/10! They did an excellent job at making the to-go experience at home feel like you were still eating a bento box at the restaurant! And yes the food was amazing!! I don't live super close to this location and my food was still fresh and delicious when I got home. My second go I ordered the Kilimanjaro roll. That sushi roll was EPIC. They pile on popcorn shrimp on top of an amazing roll.. every bite was heavenly! Bento Box is now my new favorite to-go spot! read more

This place is super combiner because it's right by a billion other things. The sushi isn't top tier but it is still pretty good. Recently, quality has been improving too!
