In A Nutshell: -I stopped by this Better Buzz Coffee in PB. -I like the open format w/ lot's of bright light & the nice outdoor patio seating. -Their Killer Bee (coffee + expresso) is a good drink if you need good caffeine boost. -The item that I really loved was their breakfast sandwich. -Man, the toasted pretzel bun was perfectly crunchy & inside of it was loaded w/ cage-free egg, havarti, bacon, arugula & garlic aioli. -It was a very tasty & satisfying breakfast sandwich, I really took my time savoring every bite. WTF?!? We placed our online order for two drinks -- a medium Mexican mocha and a large iced matcha green tea -- at 11:33am. We've been parked out front on Garnet for the past 20 minutes. It's now 12:20pm and they aren't done yet. Meanwhile, everyone who walked up or went through the drive through got their orders LONG ago. Same thing happened last weekend and the weekend before too. Get your online order system straight Better Buzz. This Buzz sucks. UPDATE #1: My wife just went in to check our order -- she was told by the cashier that it "got lost." I just lost an hour of my life. It's 12:25pm and we STILL don't have our two drinks. UPDATE #2: At about 12:30pm, our drinks were finally ready, except that BB shorted my wife -- giving her a smaller iced matcha than what she ordered and paid for online. So they had to remake her drink. UPDATE #3: Finally, at 12:35pm, both our drinks were done. However, this time I got shorted -- check out all the room at the top of my cup. And last but not least, my mocha was flaming hot and it took 20 minutes to cool down enough for me to drink it. WTF?!? We've been loyal customers since we moved back to the beach a year ago, stopping by EVERY Saturday and Sunday morning for our Better Buzz fix. The online ordering system has been glitchy over the entire past year -- sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Pickup times are often way off base -- we'll get an email an hour after we pick up our drinks saying that our drinks are ready. I'm done with Better Buzz. NEVER COMING BACK. read more

Super aesthetically pleasing just like all the other Better Buzz locations in SD. I've gone to this location twice, once through the drive thru and once to sit inside and they're pretty quick to make drinks here regardless of what you end up doing. The wifi here is good if you're looking for a place to study/work. But it's super annoying cuz outlets aren't abundant. Unless ur at the bar seating and sitting on the edge, you will not have an outlet to plug your chargers into. So just in case, come with your laptop fully charged. The acai smoothie is delicious but pricey for the size that you get. The coconut buzz here is really coconutty so don't order this if ur not a coconut fan. Personally I'm a fan and enjoyed it a lot! Also it's kinda weird how they're a coffee shop and didn't have decaf coffee towards the evening?? Like I went around 4:30pm on a Sunday and there was no decaf lol. But it's a nice location with a couple of parking spots in the behind the drive through, so I'll probably be back read more

"Life's better buzzed" - you got that right! Better Buzz is another one of my must-go-to's when in SD. I wish they would expand to Boise, but I guess only having it a few times a year is what makes it special to me. My absolute favorite is the Hazelnut Divinity (white chocolate mocha with an added touch of hazelnut, $7.00/large). Pictured is a Blended Coconut Buzz I had today. Fan-freaking-tastic. Better Buzz also has awesome whole beans for sale! I'll grab a bag just so I can treat myself at home. Best one so far is the Organic Bali Blue Moon RFA, $17.25 for a 12 oz bag. Hints of dark chocolate, exotic, brave flavor and a compelling, tropical scent. Best enjoyed black, as good coffee should be. (Okay I also have an extreme sugar addiction so I do love frou-frou drink on occasion.) The baristas are super nice and patient, too. The service there is good. I was greeted from a very kind gentleman. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a chai tea with oat milk. The sandwich was great however the chai was not mixed well at all. There was still a thick layer of powder on the bottom of the cup and when I drank from a straw all I got was clumps of spices in my mouth. This location fills up half your drink with ice whereas the other locations fill up 1/4. Ask for less ice! Lavender Black Tea Latte - decided to try it since they didn't have rose. It was pretty good. I tasted the floral hints from the lavender and it wasn't overwhelming. I was glad because I always get nervous about floral drinks. I got some hints of what tasted like cinnamon so maybe there's cinnamon? I'd recommend getting this one half sweet as it was on the sweeter side. Matcha Latte - the matcha lattes here don't have a strong matcha flavor so it's a good intro to matcha. It's not as creamy as other matcha lattes. Ordered the avocado "toasted" wasn't toasted at all just a thick piece of bread. Every time I go here I drive away without looking at the toast. This time I did and just like always they smear the avocado on the toast not like the picture with it piled on thicker. So I told the girl at the drive thru this is it she said yes with an attitude. I told her I didn't want it then and she got the manager who was really nice and took it back and added more avocado the way it is supposed to be. If you have a thick piece of bread you need make sure the ratio of avocado to bread is right otherwise you're just eating bread. Thank you to the manager that was polite and made it right. It could have been but wasn't! His was small and just ok. My coffee was ok I had the best drink ever (it was not the best drink ever) with 1/2 the sweet. It was just ok. He got a vanilla bean latte and really liked it. We like the atmosphere and the fact they open early. The staff was ok friendly. We won't go back. I don't think you should have to tell them to toast your bread on avocado TOAST?? We also shared a chocolate croissant and had it heated. The chocolate wasn't even melted.
