This is a Tucson gem. You will only find it in Tucson, which also adds to its charm. As the name states "beyond bread" meaning they offer a large variety of items. Most come for the sandwiches and soups, but you can get, pastries, cakes, fresh baked bread, cookies etc. My family loves this place, and we've never had a bad sandwich here. The portions ares huge, younger me could have finished everything, sadly now I eat half and take the other half home. The service is always welcoming which is always a plus. It can get very busy at lunch rush, but the line moves fairly quickly. They do offer both patio and indoor seating so finding a table isn't too bad as it's self seating. Overall, when I visit I love coming by and supporting this establishment.

Gruyère and scallion quiche, so light and creamy and cheesy I loved it.

Another favorite. The egg and cheese filling in this quiche was so creamy I wondered what they put in it. I would totally get this again. By the way you can pick these up at Back Dough, and many other pies, including beef pot pie which I have yet to try.

Grilled Pastrami- 10/10 Meat was perfection and the bread was out of this world It was one of the best sandwiches of my whole 42 year life. I live in NJ and will dream of this until I return to Tucson

Perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner with quick service! I love the sandwich pretzel bread or focaccia (not pictured here lol) and it's great prices for a sandwich & soup combo. 10/10 on the Greek lemon chicken soup

Beyond Bread is Tucson Born, and such a special local establishment...never had a bad experience here. Ambiance/Cleanliness-It's a busy working bakery cafe...has some well chosen colors/furniture and lighting. It shows thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Never been there when it wasn't busy, but it is always clean. Ample outdoor space for those that like it. 4 stars Service-Never bad, never great...3 stars Food-Last time I went, had the Morgan's Merger- Egg, ham, Swiss, roasted red peppers, red onion on White. Lovely sandwich, reasonably priced. All of the baked goods have been superb....the epi' is my favorite. 4 stars

1st-- Nobody in the country matches KATZ's Deli in NYC for a Pastrami Sandwich, however, moving forward... I decided to give 'um a try since it was their 'special' this month. $22.26 Pastrami on Rye, Swiss, Pickles & Russian Dressing grilled. Cole Slaw & Med D. Dr. Pepper. B4 you try to have the Cole Slaw, you must mix it in it's plastic portioned container. All the mix sinks, so you'll get nothing but 'dry' cabbage etc.. The sandwich is an 'okay' portion of meat, but not lean by any stretch. The bread is outstanding. The inside is clean well played out & quite a selection of not only breads of all kinds, but pastries that look anything but Low-Cal LOL-- Drink station, condiments etc was so nice & clean. Service was GREAT @ the "Place Order Here". Was fast on delivery of order as well. But, I'd pay $20+ for a bigger, leaner sandwich than what I got. Actually, there were slices that looked burnt on the edges. Not acceptable. So, will I return, most likely for a speciality 'loaf', or two, but not another sandwich. Sorry but, too many choices here in Tucson. PS》 I drove 7miles to try this.

Ordered a sandwich for pickup, and they forgot to toast the bread. This was very disappointing, as usually it's nice and crispy.

Can you choose any bread for a sandwich ? I'd like to substitute marble rye or a croissant sometimes

When my husband received our drink order and tasted his, he told me it didn't taste right. Instead of remaking it or apologizing to rectify the issue, they were rude and unopologetic. The employee told him, that's how we make it here and that they would not remake it. They also said they have plenty of customers, so us not returning would not hurt their business. This is now the second time my husband has not had the best experience at this location. I did taste his vanilla latte and it tastes like dirty milk. I'm disappointed in their service and now the coffee as well. I'm sad to leave this review. My husband and I use to come here quite often. We have recently been visiting many of the small locally owned coffee stores around Tucson. One, to broaden our coffee buds and two, to support the local small businesses. This is one we will not be returning to.

A couple things to note: this isn't a very large space. Much of the shop is taken up by the coffee roasting and grinding equipment, along with bean storage. Seating is limited to a few two-top tables, one larger six-person table, and a standing-room-only shelf for about 3-4 people that has a single power outlet. If you're planning to get work done and need reliable Wi-Fi or easy access to power, this may not be the ideal setup. The layout is a bit funky, and the Wi-Fi was spotty during my visit, which made it frustrating to work online. I did mention this to the staff, and they were already aware and had Comcast scheduled to come out later that day. That said, if you're just here to chat and enjoy a good cup of coffee, Savaya works well--as long as you can snag a seat. The coffee was excellent and the service was friendly and thoughtful. The barista even asked if I wanted room for creamer and, after I added some, topped off my mug for free. Refills are only $1, which is a nice touch. Parking is in a strip mall, so it wasn't much of an issue. Overall, great coffee and service, but limited space and unreliable Wi-Fi keep this at four stars for me.
