Grilled shrimp and fried alligator mixed basket
    Samantha L.

I chose to go here for the LSU game, as it is a Louisiana bar. The place is decked out with LSU and New Orleans decor. They have great specials throughout the week, including $5 Abitas for game day and $7 cocktails on Saturday. There is a decent amount of seating - both indoor and outside on a covered patio with small TVs around the place. They did play the LSU game out loud, but the speaker was very low and hard to hear with people talking at the bar. Because of this, I ended up only staying one quarter instead of the whole game since I could watch it on a bigger TV with more volume at home. I ordered the mixed basket and chose grilled shrimp and fried alligator, which comes with Cajun fries. The platter was huge and I couldn't finish it all. The grilled shrimp were big, cooked perfectly, and seasoned great. I wasn't a fan of the alligator though. It was more fried than gator and was chewy. Next time, I would go with solely the grilled shrimp platter. Overall, the food is decent but nothing to rave about -- or at least not what I ate. However, the service was great, with very kind and attentive servers and bartender. My water was constantly being filled, which I appreciated so much.

This is my #1 go to every spring since my first Atlanta spring in 2012 to get truly fresh crawfish. When they are not in season they don't do the boils and that's fine with me because who wants that old mess? Not me! Super casual spot, I'm sure prices are based on the market. Last week i went i think they were $14/lb but when i tell you they were Big, Juicy, and well seasoned....i think it might be downplaying. So good! Also honorable mentions are the gator bites and the fried catfish. I typically don't order fried catfish at many restaurants because it ends up looking and tasting like a piece of mystery fish covered in a wet batter like long John silvers or a Light dust of flour. Idk where they do that at and like it, but i like mine crispy with corn meal. I've even ordered on door dash and when it arrived it was still hot and crispy! It's a small spot, free parking in the lot and on the street. Good drinks, good service, good vibes. I could gatekeep, but if you ever see my and my little dog and no tables are left, let me have a seat and I'll continue to share lol

Still in search of the perfect poboy in Atlanta and reviews brought me here. Service is very friendly and your food comes out hot and relatively quick. I saw the crab claws on the appetizers and had to have them, they were yummy. My husband had the fried catfish basket and I had the 1/2 shrimp poboy. The catfish was nice and crispy and flaky and tender on the inside. The poboy was good, however it still wasn't on the level of what I'm looking for. Nevertheless the I would go back. The food is good.

I took my mom to a late lunch here on this past Saturday, I'd been before but it had been a quite some years so I was excited to go back! We ordered 2 salads & alligator bites as an appetizer, they had a little sweetness to them with a creole mayo sauce. We also ordered the shrimp po-boy & combo basket w/ catfish & chicken tenders. The catfish was cooked/seasoned perfectly & the tenders had a hand breaded taste to them. Service is prompt & never out of sight. As for the ambiance, it's a New Orleans themed restaurant & bar with inside & covered patio seating. Parking is shared with a neighboring restaurant but they had about 10 reserved spots for their patrons w/ one dedicated to Togo pickups right in the front. It's on mom's "new favorite place" list now!

The food was delicious!! My family and I are from the Big Easy , so we were prepared ourselves to be ready to judge and we were not disappointed with the crawfish ; it was not overly seasoned but tasty. The sausage was authentic D&D sausage (which is the crème de la creme). The service was excellent, the waitresses were very professional, polite and made we were taken care of very well ( hospitality at its finest). The ambiance was right on point!! I felt like I was back home in New Orleans it reminded me of the French Quarter and the DJ knew exactly the right songs to play . I'll definitely return to try out their Poboys !!

Location: This spot is located a few minutes from Chattahoochee Works which means it's near a lot of cool places and heavy traffic. Parking: Parking was free but seemed to be limited Service: The service was great, we didn't wait long for food drinks or to be waited on. It seems that everyone is on the same team there and works together to make your experience a great one. The restaurant is very casual so no need to make reservations. Ambience/Crowd: the ambience is warm and inviting and laid back. Food/drink : 7/10 for the food - I had the bourbon salmon with jambalaya which was delicious. My boyfriend had fried catfish and shrimp combo (he love's catfish and said it was great) we also had the alligator chili, Mac and cheese & beignets. The mac and cheese is not what I am used to but it was still good. Will I be back? YES! Mainly because of service and that jambalaya!

    2 out of 4 beignets

Food came out very quickly and everything tasted great except the fried crab claws. The flavor was there but it had more bone than meat. Hush puppies were phenomenal. The shrimp in the shrimp poboy was fresh. Beignets were great. Service was great. Bar was a bit loud but it's a Friday night so nothing unusual. Will be coming back.

My husband ordered the shrimp po boy and at every bite as well. We both enjoyed our drinks as well, the peach lemon drop and whiskey mojito. A great restaurant for American cuisine with a Cajun twist. I've been a fan of this restaurant for a very long time and I'm happy I'm still able to enjoy their food.

Our daughter spent the first few minutes waving at the staff, and they genuinely lit up every time -- such a warm, welcoming vibe right from the jump. Starters We kicked things off with the she‑crab soup, and that's when we knew the meal was going to be special. Tons of rich crab flavor and chunks of crab. The crispy shrimp toast was another hit -- crunchy, savory, and a great pairing with the soup. We also ordered the Baker's Dozen oysters, chef's selection. All 13 were fresh, clean, and briny in the best way. Next up: the Spanish octopus, and honestly... top five octopus dish we've had. Cooked perfectly -- tender, melt‑in‑your‑mouth texture. The salsa macha added just the right amount of heat, and the marcona almonds brought a great crunch with the cilantro, lime, and mint brightening everything up. What a beautifully composed dish. We finished with the Halibut and Lady peas. The Halibut was topped with lobster and served with a lobster butter sauce, chives, and capers. Rich, buttery, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The lady peas (fava beans, asparagus, and a generous mound of blue crab) were another standout. So much flavor, but everything complemented each other instead of competing. One of those sides you keep looking for more of when it's gone. --- Overall Every dish was thoughtful, balanced, and executed at a high level. Service was warm and genuinely kind -- especially with our little one. 10/10 would recommend

It's in a shopping center so there are plenty of parking, but you may not be able to park close to where you want to walk to the door to because there are so many other spots there. But the parking is free in Buckhead. So that's a plus! There's spaces inside and outside for you to go to, so that's good, but the inside is very nice and decorated very well. They have TV so you can watch sports but it's not a sports bar so don't get that confused. The bar is a nice size and set it pretty well. Not billions of bottles but just enough to what you need. Dean was my my server and bartender, super good customer service, very warm and communicative, and I would have come back just to sit at the bar with him again. The ball is very well kept and very clean, but the whole establishment was as well. They have a lot of space by the bar and to the other side of the restaurant as well. The menu is predominantly seafood related but they have other things as well. But they have a couple things that look like. They should be really really good so I am going to have to double back! Calamari - The calamari was pretty good. It came out really fast so it makes me think that they were already cooking by the time I ordered LOL. But it had a sweet chili sauce to it, but the calamari seem to be crispy and seasoned enough to where it wasn't a requirement. Brussel sprouts - brussel sprouts for good, kind of wish they had more of them but they were still pretty tasty. Overall. They had the vinaigrette flavor so I know that they were cooked well. They were more firmed and mushy so that was good. I would get them again and I was see. Can I get a full order instead of just a side order because they were just that good. Old bay fries - The Old Bay fries were okay. They had that sodium to where you needed ketchup to kind of bring the sweet. But they were still good though regardless. Shrimp tacos - these were good. Had 3 large shrimp. Got mine blackened and they were just the right amount of taste and flavor. The sauce on it was a little much but that was okay though, it balanced out all of the spice for the peppers and the shrimp seasoning. Gumbo - the gumbo was pretty good and it came in a large bowl, more than you would think a cup would be. Savory and tasty. Overall, with the quality of the food and the customer service, I feel like this place definitely deserves my attention again. The first time I went in I only had a couple of appetizers, and that really didn't do it justice.

The server informed me that they were out of that fish and offered me the option of choosing another fish. We discussed the trout and the snapper. As long as it was filet, I did not have a preference. The server recommended snapper. I agreed. The entire meal was really delicious from the sauce to the fish and shrimp. Raw Oysters (4.5/5) - I have to preface by saying that I am not usually a fan of raw oysters; however, I thoroughly enjoyed the ones here. They were mild in flavor and tasted fresh. There are plenty of hot sauces available at the table to dress up your oysters. The platter of oysters also comes with horseradish and cocktail sauce. I must say I really enjoyed the oyster and horseradish combo. Char-Grilled Oysters (4/5) - Grilled with a garlic parmesan coating. It was nice, but I actually preferred the raw oysters! Not overcooked. Lobster Bisque (3.25/5) - Creamy and pleasant, but I don't think I could eat a lot of it. I'm glad I only got a cup of it to share. Claimed to be "Atlanta's BEST for 25 years," so I had to try. First experience eating a lobster bisque, but the chunks tasted more like imitation crab? Probably would skip if I returned here. SERVICE: Service was pleasant, but not super fast. Getting your order taken took a hot minute, but once that was out of the way, you got your food pretty fast. TLDR// I would come here every Wednesday if I lived in Atlanta because the oyster specials are such great deals. Can't speak on any other menu item, but you can't beat the price on Wednesdays.
