This location is minutes from my office and I like the friendly guys at the front desk. The work performed on my vehicles is a different matter. They do such SLOPPY work I can't even believe it. They have run the gamut... everything from not tightening the bolts on my tires, grease stains in my car-- to not bleeding the air from my brake lines after working on my brakes- I almost had an accident because the brakes did not brake properly and I skidded into the intersection! I had to take my car back twice to have them fix what they left undone. I have even had the guy doing the repair leave one of his mechanics glove underneath my hood! When they work on my electronic system they NEVER reset things and I have to return it to have them fix it. I don't have the time to waste returning every time to have them fix what they should have done to begin with. SLOPPY, SLOPPY, SLOPPY! I wrote two separate letters bringing these things to the managers attention and I never even got a response. Now I have to travel to Good Year on Tustin Ranch Road. read more

My tires were wearing funny, so I went to this Big O location and purchased a 3 year alignment warranty. What a mistake that was! I often had to wait for over an hour even though I made an appointment the day before, and the alignments often took well over 2 hours. The worst part was, they did a TERRIBLE job with the alignments! I had a lot of wheel vibration, and the car pulled very strongly to one side. I kept asking the technicians if a suspension component was possibly worn and needed to be replaced, but they kept telling me no, that some cars just wouldn't hold an alignment. The people at the front desk are friendly enough, but I seriously doubt the level of competency at this place. Even though I still have 2 years left on my alignment warranty, I will never go back. By the way, I quickly got sick of incompetent service, and went to the Mountain View Tires across the street. They immediately spotted that my tie rod ends were worn. An hour later, all the alignment problems were fixed for good. read more

I will never take my car here again. The only reason I went to Big O in the past is that it's local - and I like to support local business. I understood that that I was paying a little higher price - but the service was decent. Unfortunately, the last time I brought my car in - they quoted me a time for when the car would be done - and also a call once it was done. 3 hours pass after the quoted time - I call the place - I get an answering machine that says the place is closed. I finally get a hold of someone - they tell me the car won't be done for another hour. I ask if there is anything they can for the inconvenience - and the guy tells me they can take off $20 off my $615 bill. What a joke. I've spent more than $1600 dollars there - and they extend a $20 discount....gee thanks! Last time I go to Big Joke - Tires. read more

Brought in my Mazda - usual upsale from Cruz - no problems with that but I had my 78 year old father collect the car for me with my 13 year old daughter who felt the car was moving around a lot - sure enough I go check it and all 4 bolts on one of the back tires were never tightened - I dont think it is too much to ask for a double check on the most obvious tasks of tire replacement - I will never go here again - they put my family in danger and nothing can make up for that - be sure to double check before you pay or just go somewhere else - very dissatisfied customer :( read more

Brian & the crew at Big O have been super helpful & did a great job. After discussing de-PAXing my 2007 Honda Odyssey (getting rid of my expensive run-flat tire system), with Brian, he provided me with some great info. Last October I ordered new wheels and a TPMS Sensor Kit online, then after receiving them, I took them over to Big O, bought some really nice tires, and they installed the new set of wheels. They did the job perfectly and checked the alignment for me (it didn't need a re-align). They also installed my new Tire Pressure Monitors and made sure that all worked with the computer system. We've also taken our old 2002 Buick in for oil changes a few times, and have always gotten straight forward advice & service. Very friendly & helpful. read more

i am semi torn on how to rate this place after my most recent experience. ive been here in the past when brian was the manager and he was awesome and honest. when other tire stores wouldnt patch my runflat and tried to get me to spend $800 in tires to replace 2 tires, brian said he would check it out for me. they give us dedicated attention and even when the mechanic was doubtful about the prospects of patching, brian checked it out and said he was confident it would work out. the mechanic did as brian instructed and voila, i was good to go. $40 later i was back on the road. this was just earlier in the year. after this experience i knew this place had won me over. so a couple weeks ago when i needed to replace all 4 run flats on my other car i didnt even bother to shop around. i just called big o and brian got me a quote. it was better pricing than the online quote i got from america's tire so i easily opted to stick with big o. as luck would turn out, the day i had promised to come in with my car was the day my wife's water broke, so i called brian and let him know that it might be a few days before i could come in and he was totally cool with it. when i called back to confirm my visit, i found out brian no longer worked there... bummer! anyway, so i went in to get my tires changed on a tuesday after having previously washed my car on saturday. i had hand washed my rims myself so i knew for sure there was no damage. i didnt drive my car at all sunday or monday because one of my run flats was flat. i pickup my car on tuesday only to see chips and dings on rims. i was exhausted after coming home with the newborn so i didnt bring it up before leaving the shop. at this point i was giving them a 1 star. the next day all i could think about was my rims and that they were damaged. i was pretty bummed and pretty much all that i could think about. i figured it was at least worth calling the store manager to find out any options. i spoke to adrien and she seemed open minded to work with him on some repair options. at this point they were up to a 3 star. i met with adrien in the afternoon and she looked over my car and we discussed my expectations. she was pretty reluctant to accept any fault for the damages, but at this point it was pretty much he said she said, and i was just grateful she would listen to me and she offered to go 50/50 on the repairs. but i would have to shop around for some repair quotes. at this point still a 3 star. i shop around and the first place quoted me 175 per rim. a couple other places didnt call me back. i let adrien know the price and she was taken a back by the cost. she wanted me to find some other places. i asked her to give me her acceptable price range cause at this point i would just be wasting my time if the standard rate is that range. they are back to a 2 star. i finally get a hold of velvet touch and they quote me 100 a rim. so im pretty stoked. i called adrien back and tell her and she was like ok how about you just get all 4 rims repaired and i will give you 200. i told her that only 3 of the rims are damaged so i wouldnt need the 4th. and she was like, just get all 4 done so they match. i told her i would consider it. we finalize the details and am expecting $200 credit. back to a 3 star now. after getting the rims repaired, i called adrien confirmed i was getting $200 back and went to the store. gave her the receipt from velvet touch and then she tells me i am only getting $100. she says the receipt was for $200 and we agreed 50/50. yes we did agree on 50/50 at one time, initially, but because i was just happy to get something. but based off the most recent conversation, i was expecting 100% reimbursement. would i come back to big o for service, probabaly not. i am appreciative that adrien was open minded and willing to pay for part of the damages. but in reality, i know for a fact that they damaged 3 of my rims and didnt take full responsibility. if you are going to come here, make sure to review your rims with chuck or adrien before they take your car. and then review with them after picking it up. its too bad because now i will have to find another honest tire store that does quality work and honors their commitments. so although i am appreciative of their efforts, their quality of work to begin with is subpar, and managements lack of accountability for the damages is unacceptable. the lack of follow through on her commitment to give me $200 back even though i did not get all 4 tires repaired is baffling to me. because i was honest and opted to just get 2 tires repaired instead of 4, i lose the extra $100 for damages her shop caused. read more

Everything was fine at the beginning, I was quoted about an hour and twenty minutes by the the rep. An hour and twenty minutes later my car was finished and I was ready to hit the road. However, he spent an additional 30 minutes negotiating with a customer about pricing while I was standing there just waiting to swipe my credit card and leave. He could have easily just processed my payment during this time. To top things off, his manager Derrick discretely wrote a note and passed it to the rep that said "let her go" after 30 minutes. I could see that Derrick was as frustrated with him as I was, and he was the one that processed my transaction. read more

My first run in with this shop was on 1-2-2013.I took my Grandma's 1994 Nisson Altima with 74,000 original miles into Big O. I choose Big O tires because they are local and I didn't want to run the risk of getting a flat tire on my overworked tires and bad brakes.The quick talking manager sold us the most expensive four tires and worked on the brakes and front axel since they claimed it needed to be worked on.The whole service bill came out to $1,817 and 30 cents. I had driven from the Big O to the Stater Bros that same day and noticed the front hub cap missing and I had to return because they forgot to put it on. The manager said to come back the next day and they would put it on. Eight days of calling in and raising hell went by before they finally put my hub cap back on just to be rid of me. They go out of there way to make you feel like the one at fault when it is their crappy work. On 5-17-2013 the car broke down on the 22 freeway at Brookhurst due to the fact that the right front axel had completely fallen out.A tow truck had to tow it to Tustin Nisson for a fee of $95.32 thanks to Raul Correa who was the mechanic who did the original repairs on the front axel on 1=2-2013.At that point it was inspected by a State Farm claims adjuster and a Nisson representative who found that Raul Correa's failure to properly install the front axel was the cause of the break down.The bill came out to $532.40 bill for Nisson to repair Big O's crappy work. After about a year of trouble and only 1,500 miles on Big O's new tires the front right tire was not only bald, but showing cord.The alignment was off on the front axel and I had to take it to Titan Automotive in Orange to fix Big O's lovely Alignment job.The bill was $350.00.This experience with Big O was a nightmare and I would never recommend anyone using Big O in Tustin even if it is convenient for you to do so. read more

Really, you have two cars in the shop with one guy actually working three standing around talking and two guys inside. I hadn't been here in about ten years and now I remember why. Called the store to see if they could evaluate my mother-in-law's tires. After dropping the car off, we got a call saying the existing tires were 13 years old! Went to get tires installed on my rims. Paid for the service. Went to put the rims in my car and noticed a large scratch/chip on the edge where the installer used a metal pry bar to remove the tire he installed incorrectly to reinstall it. They didn't even have the decency to tell me what happened, I had to discover for myself. Then David the manager said "It happens all the time, it's unavoidable" which clearly isn't true. Pay more for better service elsewhere. The rims are $400 a corner too, so not cheap to get repaied read more

I was in the middle of moving when my tire blew. I had to leave my car and walk to Big O tires. Dave was working the counter and listened as I explained my problem. There were only three people working including him so no one could leave to help me. Dave could see how stressed out I was and arranged for someone to help me put on the donut so I could drive to Big O and get the tire replaced. Initially came for one tire change. very up front I said I wanted to spend as little as money. Ended up changing 4 tires. the bill showed up another 80 dollars under tire protection plan and nitrogen. Which I have never asked to add. they just did. And they kept saying it is included. he never said it will be extra 80 dollars. I think business is very simple. you show them the product and the price. I just called to get refund. he said he will speak to his boss about it. I am very disappointed. because a girl like me we don't know how this shop runs.. I'll make it short and to the point....they installed a tire on a lifted full size truck without bolting the tire on.....the tire came off the truck at speed, and wiped out the front of my vehicle. Not bad for changing oil and getting your tires rotated. But it gets one less star for lying. The guy is really nice, but he's a salesman. Surely they take advantage if you look like you don't know what you are doing. The guy told me I needed to get new tires (1 year later he told me I had 10,000 miles left on it, which I did). It was George. I had called around to a few tire stores to replace tires for my wife's SUV, wasn't wanting "cheapest set of 4 you got" but best value and safety. Happened to catch George covering at the Orange store, but his regular spot is in Tustin... and immediately knew he "gets it" (ala Dr. Phil, ya' either get it or you don't get it) What's "it"? The sincere customer-service attitude that listens, educates, suggests, and works with you to get you that trifecta of price, service, and peace-of-mind. George impressed this picky SOB with high standards... in fact, so much so, that for my own SUV, my regular go-to shop had told me just last month that my struts were leaking, so while wifey was getting new rubber on her ride thanks to George working it fiercely for us, I asked for them to double-check mine to get a 2nd opinion... well, whaddaya' know, only had one worn strut, no freakin' leak, so I pulled the trigger on paired-up struts, and brand new rubber for me, too... only because this guy, George, made me aware of rebates, and tho' I loath them credit cards, saved me about $120 more by signing-up for their card. Big O? well, easy on that there "O", pardner... maybe just an appreciative bromance for George, but feeling the cost and product/service we received in return exceeded expectations. Great experience here this morning. Arrived at 7:15 with my flat tire wheel in the trunk. I was prepared to replace the tire considering the condition it was in (my wife drove it 2 miles flat). But they saw there was a bolt in the tread and then repaired it for free within 15 minutes and then rotated the tires. And put the spare back in its place. Bryan the manager was an ideal service man, much props to him. Great way to resolve a problem and start the day. Thanks Big O! read more

Long story short, this place is a joke. I took my 2008 Lexus IS350 here for an alignment back in January. After two tries the shop was unable to correctly align the car and would not offer a refund because they felt "the car, or its practically brand new tires, was the problem not the alignment". The manager helping me, I forget his name, was also a total jerk. He was definitely more interested in helping "new" customers than trying to rectify my situation. I ended up having to take my car to the dealership where it was finally aligned correctly. I have been meaning to write up a review since then and finally found the time (if that's any indication of how disappointed I am). Stay away! The American Tire off Grand Ave in Santa Ana is a MUCH better place to go for any sort of tire needs. read more

I recently purchased my tires at the Brea location and I was told, I had the protection plan for 3yrs and I could get a new tire if it was damaged for any reason. I got a flat tire a week later. Call the Cypress location (since I happened to be near the area) to get my tired fix. Once I was there, the manager told me that since I bought it at a franchise store (Brea, CA) I needed it to take it there to fix it. They installed my spared tire and send me on my way. I called the Brea location to resolve the issue. I was told I can go to any store again to fix it, no charge. I called the Santa Ana store and they couldn't locate my information and was sent back to the Brea store again!!! I called another store to make sure they had the tire that I need and finally David Karaiskos help me out. I explained what happened to him and he took it all in and finally provided me with customer service!!! He walked me step by step on what might be happening and it was just so surprising that it took 3 days,3 different stores and a few calls to the corporate office to finally get answers and solutions!!!!! (corporate sucks btw! To this day, they haven't called me back) David spoke to the Brea's supervisor and got everything squared away for me. He mentioned to me that there supposed to be a installation fee but because of the headache I was going thru, he even waived that off. Best thing and worse thing that happened thru this whole ordeal was that Cypress, when they installed my spared tire, ruined a lug nut and stud. David, without any hesitation took it upon himself to call different auto parts stores to get these parts in for me.... even though, it was past closing time for them. Justin and David stayed open for me to get my problem fixed. I cannot thank David and Justin (who stay to fix my tired and install my lug nut and stud, even thought he had previous engagements to attend after work.... Thanks Justin) enough. YOU BOTH went above and beyond to help me and fix my tire!!!! If you want to get new tires or any service for your car, I STRONGLY recommend this store. Ask for David (general manager), he will take care of you and walk you step by step and will explain, in detail what you are getting (something I didn't get from any other store nor corporate). I will definitely will be taking my car back to the Tustin location. read more

Decided to replace 5 tires (including spare) on my 2006 Suburban. Shopped around and these guys were not only close to my house, but came in with a great price compared to Costco. I'm super picky and had a ton of questions for Josh Edwards, who was more than helpful and friendly on the phone. He answered all of my questions and explained everything. When I finally brought in my SUV, Derek Tyson provided excellent customer service. I wanted to see the actual tires that were going on my car to check the manufacture date and he made sure I was able to do that. He also answered all of my questions with patience and professionalism. Tires were mounted as stated, spare tire was replaced and remounted under the car, and they even put my jack away exactly where it was supposed to go! I went over the work with a fine tooth comb when I got home, and everything was perfect. Lug nuts were not over tightened and rim cover plates were replaced correctly. read more

I recommend this Big O Tires location. I selected my tires and made an appointment online about a day prior. I highly recommend making an appointment.This was very easy to do, and there were many appointments times available to accommodate my schedule. I went on a Thursday morning, so I don't know what it would be like on the weekend. Everything went smoothly, and everyone in the front office was friendly. I had no issues regarding the appointment or tires that I selected prior to the appointment. Unlike other places that say they'll have one particular set of tires, but then figure out a way to not have them available at the time, then up-sell something for twice as much. Not here. They had the tires I requested, and the price I was quoted online was the price I was charged when I came in. They didn't pressure you to add anything if you didn't want to. They also didn't try and scare me into getting unneeded service done, like other places do. So, if they do recommend service, I'd trust them. I did get alignment done as well. It took a little over 90 minutes for everything, which was expected. My truck is difficult to align, so if it took less time, I would know it wasn't done properly. The waiting area was comfortable, with free WIFI. However, they are within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. So, there is plenty to do if you plan on waiting. read more

I have been a customer of this Big-O for over 7 years getting everything from an Oil Change to a Differential replaced and had nothing but great things to say. During that period the manager was Brian, who was exceptional at making customers feel that their time and money was a value to his shop. Today I experienced Adrian (the new manager because Brian recently retired) and would like to say the experience I once expected has left with Brian. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this shop anymore because the customer service has gone to sham as I called about 30 minutes prior to arriving to confirm there was not a major delay in getting an Oil Change. Upon my arrival I was informed only one car was ahead of me and it was already on the lift so it should be within the hour. After waiting for an hour I stepped across the street for a quick lunch thinking my car would be next, but after getting back I watch two other cars get put on the lift and have an oil change completed while also listening to UpSell after UpSell. I asked Adrian why and she had no answer - only to say my car was next. At that point I waited an additional 30 minutes while the other cars had additional services completed because of the UpSells so I told Adrian..."I couldn't believe I had to wait two hours for an oil change when I was told I was next and it would be within the hour". I asked for my keys and told Adrian that I wouldn't be back. I will be looking for another shop to perform both of my vehicle services along with maintaining all of my past warranties through BigO. I Recommend everyone should pass this Big-O and find another shop. Unless you have a full day off for you to complete an oil change. Good luck! read more

He parked my son's car for him when we first arrived and then checked the air in my tires when my son's tire installation was completed.
