My review is purely for the customer service aspect. I purchased tires a few months ago and had a tire blowout last night on the freeway. Very frustrated with the shock of it all, I didn't even want to call and deal with looking up information and long waits for installation. I called the shop because I knew I should've had a warranty on my wheels still. I believe the gentleman was David that answered the phone. Before I could finish telling my story and inquiring about stock in my particular tire, he was so kind as simply asked "Are you okay" and sympathized with my semi-traumatic experience. (Fyi, This was a big deal after my AAA driver had chuckled about the ordeal and stated that I'd be fine...and it was just a little blowout) .Buying tires is never fun and especially in my situation, but great customer service sure does soften the blow. I had my warranty looked up, tire checked for availability and helpful hints in just a few minutes . I will always stick with big O because you aren't just another dollar to them, they treat you with concern and like they truly care. read more

No complaints here! The dealership was trying to charge me through the nose so I called Big O with the specs of the tires I needed. Not only did they quote me a better price but they also gave me much more affordable options. All 4 tires were changed and balanced etc. while I took care of some emails. These guys are aholes ,! I will never come back here again. Needed my flat fixed while I had baby in car and they couldn't squeeze me in to their busy schedule ! It was close to closing so they told me to come back in morning or leave the car there and walk to the bus stop with my baby?????? So they sent me on my way with a tire almost riding on the rim. Brian Derek and David took care of me well. Very personable and knowledgable staff. Came here for oil change and came back following week with my wife's car to get 4 new tires and oil change. Worked with me over the phone to find the best solution within my budget, hunted for discounts and explained every step to me. I got to the store, the tires I wanted were out of stock and they upgraded me gratis....and still asked for my permission before putting them on. Today I took my car for wheel alignment. After putting the car up, the gentleman called me. According to my previous experiences, I was expecting to hear there are many problems in the car and this is the cost. Unbelievably he told me that there is not necessary for alignment and showed me the computer screen. Then they switched the wheels front to back. The problem in the car is completely fixed. I tried to pay because they spent at least 45 minutes. Gentleman said that it was not a big repair and nothing to pay. Everyone in the place is extremely nice and friendly. If I could I would give this company a negative 5 stars my experience was that terrible!! I went into Big O Tire today on my lunch break to get a nail patched in my tire. I called them and spoke to Alex Arias a so call manager of the shop who scheduled me an appt. I was a little late and apologized to them for that. Alex checked out my cars tire said yea we can definitely patch that up o was thrilled to hear that. He then told me it would take 45 min of my time I called my job asked for the extend lunch . I went back to tell Alex I can get the work done he took about 15 minutes just to come back and take my paperwork. I walked to the store to burn time as my tire was being worked on. I come back it's way past the 45 min time frame only to see my car still wasn't touched and there wasn't any other cars in there shop. Alex then came out and said I'm sorry we can't fix your tire you have to get a new one. This was strange to me . I said why are you just now telling me this after I informed you I was on my lunch he started to raise his voice at me arguing his point and said there's nothing he can do. After a freeway blowout, I did not want to drive on my puny spare. I limped in to this Big O tire store only 15 minutes before they were closing. George and his staff took good care of me in replacing the tire at a price I could afford. They did not even look at the clock once after closing time had come and gone, I was their only concern. Manager George and his team are fantastic! George said my tires would be in by 3pm. He called me at 12pm and said they arrived early and that he could get me in now. I dropped of my vehicle, he said it would be no longer than an hour. He called me 45 minutes later and all four tires were mounted and balanced. Very dissatisfied with the service and honesty! I was quoted over $800 to replace pads and calipers. I said I did not have the funds but to please just do the brakes at this time. He refused. I went down the street to Brake & Tire Depot on 1st and Grand. Got exactly the same work done that I was quoted...front pads, resurfacing roters and calipers for $390.00! Big O is a racket! They dropped a nut into the engine block while changing the oil. The car is now scrap. They refuse to admit fault and claim it was brought in like that. They will no longer answer my calls and they wouldn't even respond to the BBB. This company is a bunch of ex con scam artists. NEVER go to big O tires. read more

I was in the market for car tires. My criteria was price and location. I contacted Big O tires in Tustin. They're located within 5 miles of my house. When I called for pricing on tires for my IS 250 the salesman quoted me 393.00 not including taxes and fees. I asked the total cost out the door and he gave me a price of 702.00!!! When asked to explain why it was costing nearly double the price of the tires the salesman said it's due to tax, recycle fee, mount and balance. I was in total shock!! I contacted Big O in Costa Mesa. They quoted me an out the door cost of 543.00 for the same tires!! This costs not only included the fees noted above but an additional fee of 5.00 per sensor, a total of 20.00 additional. I'll NEVER contact Big O tires in Tustin. I can't even give this store a 1/2 star. Very Sad. read more

Be careful when you order tires from them, they could sell them from right under you. I ordered two tires for my VW bug on Monday which they had at another store. When I went in on Wednesday, which was the day that I told them I would show up, the guy behind the desk (the manager I believe) told me that he sold them already. I could not believe it. He joked around but never apologized about selling them. He just said that someone came in for the same tires and he sold them. I asked him why if he had a name on the tires he would just sell them to anyone. He said that he does not take down any names. I believe that this is one of the first thing in business, take down the name. He was able to get two more tires but I had the waste the entire day waiting. Not very good service. When I picked them up, he gave me a half-assed apology as he start with a joke about selling my wheels with the tire to another person. HA HA. Not really a way to get customers to come back to the store. Update: Big O actually sent us a review and I stated the above again. Low and behold, we got a call this morning from the owner. We finally got a sincere apology and promise that this guy would be spoken to. I checked the sales receipt and found that the salesperson was named James. We will have to see if his practice changes and that he actually records customer names and makes sure that he does not sell tires that he promised to one customer to another and then laugh when they come in to get their tires. My experience is this Big O Tire Store tries to rip people off by selling them services they do not need. I personally witnessed the manager taking advantage of naive people including a single Mom with 2 young children. Very sad. Would Stay Away!!! read more

Got a set of tires mounted and ballanced today on my silverado truck.This was a experience let me tell you.When I unloaded the tires from my truck that were to be installed two employes watched which was ok but then when I asked them where to set the tires Brian there mechanic completly ignored me.There tire mounter guy finally kicked in towards the end.No one was there yet finally after the paperwork was done it took 10 minutes more for them to pull the truck foward into the bay and get started wow.Once the truck was in the bay there tire guy left the truck in nuetral and key on headlights and taillights burning stereo going for 10 minutes I finally walked over and shut everything off what a joke there excuse was its got smart system tech. it will eventually shut off.yeah real nice for the battery to run everthing for 20 miutes cause eventually it will shut off are you guys for real !! I again tried to ask there mechanic a question and he blew me off again like I was not there.Talk about people skills.I then observed Brian run into the opening of the door bay with his arm that got caught on a screw extending out not happy of course and then opened a customers door only to rip the door handle right off the car wow thats what I call finese and care about customers car.I then asked the tire guy what he was torqueing my wheel stud nuts to he told me 140lbs.ok.I never heard the torque wrench click once when it got to the proper torque like there supposed to.I got home looked at the wheels only to find one of the balancing wheights hanging off and then went back to have two weights re-installed.I think these guys are over worked underpaid and lack mech& people skills.BEWARE.I will never return.. read more

So, last summer 2015, I really wanted a decent, local place for tires, batteries, etc....They were super nice, the manager-type guy (bald and buff) and the gal behind the counter were respectful and helpful. Then, when I go to rotate and replace brakes.....they make me wait 2 and 1/2 hours to be told my brakes are fine. I go to Dealer next day who shows me brakes at less than 1%....!!! That makes me very nervous and NOT willing to rec this place to anyone.....So, the guy says he's sorry, yada yada yada....so, we make an appoinbtment this time to rotate.....1 and 1/2 hour wait, after asking several times when my car, which I can see parked on the side, is up....I get run around, then they do the rotation in ten minutes. Why the fuck did I make an appt? Why the fuck when he said he was going to make it right, he didn't... I had a 3rd unpleasant experience at BIG O in Tustin, but I bought the rotation package! read more
