I ordered the BBQ Frito Pie through the UberEATS service. For $10.00 you cannot beat the amount of brisket & sausage that are piled onto the Fritos. It also comes with you choice of two sides, BBQ sauce, and cookies. The meat and sausage were delicious; however the BBQ sauce tasted like I was drinking vinegar from the bottle. This is hands down some of the best bbq I have ever had! Everything we had was amazing. Potato salad is one of my favorite sides, and even though it's a popular side, many places don't get it right but Big Vinny's hit it out of the ball park! There is so much love in every detail. You're going to find some excellent bbq here! Easily the best in south Austin. Top 3 in the city. Pretty impressive considering bbq is like a religion in Texas and he's churning out food in the form of gold by himself out of a 14 foot food trailer. The meats are incredible and so are the sides. The sauce is imported from heaven. Portions are plentiful and the price point is right. Incredible value on top of one of the cleanest food trucks I've ever seen (just take a look at the pics on yelp if you don't believe me). Brian; the captain of the ship, has both great customer service skills and a phenomenal product. I ordered the two meat combo (baby backs & brisket) and it was amazing. The sides are homemade. Potato salad, coleslaw and his beans have shredded brisket in them. It's a bummer when you go to bbq joints and they take shortcuts with their sides. Nothing but love here. I was honestly so excited to try this place since I've been seeing it around for the last couple months. Having looked at the great pictures and awesome reviews, everyone around me saw my excitement when I got my food. That being said, I was really let down. I ordered a 3 meat plate (sausage, pork ribs, and brisket), coleslaw, with an extra jalapeño cheese sausage link. The ribs were dry (bbq sauce helped, but not a ton), brisket was kind of tough, coleslaw was watery, but the main reason I didn't score lower, was that the sausage links saved the day. I ended up sharing with everyone around me a bite of the sausage to say just how awesome it was. On a different note, I told the restaurant I couldn't eat beans or potatoes and they gave me double order of cole slaw instead. Even though, I didn't like a lot of my order, they're super accommodating and the sausages were awesome (thumbs up y'all) I'll probably still come back to this place in the future just in case my order was a one-off issue with the brisket/ribs/sides, but with the amount of good bbq places around Austin, I might not be as inclined to eat here unless I was close to it. read more

Top BBQ places in Austin, you name them, I've been there! Since trying Big Vinnys the first time, I found myself no longer having to go anywhere else! The meat is so good! No doubt the best brisket and babybacks you could ever ask for! I went to Big Vinnys back 5 months ago, and I kid you not, it's the only BBQ I've been going to since! Next, the owner Brian is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. After my first conversation with the guy, I instantly knew this is someone I feel 100% confident in giving my business to! His background story is amazing, and his kind heart shows when he's dishing out plates! The prices are as fair as you'd want; in fact, better than you ask for when you include the serving size he hooks you up with! The dude put his maximal effort at satisfying his customers! I know this because I've seen him satisfy others, and he also fulfills mine every single time! And finally, Big Vinnys is super convenient and efficient! There is never a long wait, and on top of that, they deliver! Brian has told me of the supreme amount of meat he's prepping and cooking everyday, so he just keeps them rolling, never running out! You also don't have to travel far, with it being close to the center of Austin. Big Vinnys is not just my top BBQ spot, but also my top food spot!
