My husband and I went to Bill and Bali's with friends for dinner at March 30, a Sunday evening. It is a self help restaurant. We found ourselves a table and seated, and went to the cashier to order food. The service of that place is none and the lady who was in the bar seems not very interested to greet her customers. First I wanted to have the bacon figs pizza, but the server told me they ran out ingredients for it, and I ordered a Cesar salad then she told me they ran out Cesar dressing, I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, she told me that they ran out of stock. Finally, I ordered a pesto paradise pizza, a Cesar salad with vinaigrette dressing, and a glass of Pinot Noir. Be fair to the restaurant, the taste of the pizza is good, and Cesar salad without Cesar dressing is all right as well as the wine also all right. Tried to forget my past experiences and came back to eat in because of my wife. Well she ordered 2 different pizzas and a Caesar salad. My wife wanted to pay and I told her i will tip in cash appropriately after we finish eating since the card reader prompts you to "tip" before you get anything. She said she forgot and accidentally tipped with her card. Discovered this place after our daughter's ballet class across the street. The food was amazing! We tried the Burrata Love Affair, classic buffalo wings, and some beer. Service was warm and very welcoming. The ambiance was fun with music playing through some Sonos speakers and sports on TV. Only suggestion I have would be swapping the lights for a warmer atmosphere. After seeing many posts with yummy-looking pizza, I headed to the new Bill & Bali's - Pizza & Pints at 7011 Sunne Ln, Ste 120 Walnut Creek. It's tucked away in The Avalon Apartments by Pleasant Hill BART. Bill and Bali's serves Roman-style pizza; I found the crust similar to Grandma-style pizza, which is thinner than Sicilian if that helps. I ordered the Burrata Love Affair with Arugula, 16 month Aged Prosciutto, Burrata, Olive Oil, and Balsamic Glaze. I thought it was fantastic. The flavors were delicious, and the crust was amazing. I ordered the small, which was enough for 3-4 servings. I will be returning, and it will be a great lunch spot for my colleagues on Oak Park Blvd. They have lots of TVs for watching sports. They have many beer options (on tap, bottles, and cans) and red and white wine. I've read that their wings are delish, so I will try those next. Depending on where you're traveling from, if you turn left or right onto Coggins towards PH BART, make a right onto Sunne, and it will be on the right. I have included some landmark photos of the location that I hope will help you to find them. There are also photos of the regular menu and the kid's menu. Located in a very residential section of town. Ambiance is cold but clean with indoor seating available. Lady at the counter was on the phone most of the time but polite. Salad presentation was interesting as you have cut the big leafs of lettuce yourself. Pizza crust had good texture but unfortunately we found the sauce to have no flavor. read more

After seeing all the stellar reviews I had to seek this place out and try for ourselves. We placed our order online for pick up. I had no idea where this place was and was pleasantly surprised when I found it nestled into the same building as the Eaves complex across from PH Bart. I ordered a large pepperoni and large Calabrian. Keep in mind pizza is in the pricier range here. I had reservations about getting the Calabrian as it is spicy with calabrian chilies but my husband wanted to get it thinking it would be okay. Fast forward to when we unveil the pizzas. They look and smell delicious. The pepperoni was delicious! Crust was buttery and had a nice crunch. The Calabrian was spicy AF! It had dabs of the paste on each slice and my hubs did not recover from his piece for quite a while! He likes spicy but this was on another level. I had to hand wipe off all the paste in order for it to be edible and it was still spicy! It was his bad for choosing it but beware it is spicy. Not friendly spicy but hot AF spicy so if that is your thing get it. Otherwise stay away! Overall I would try it again for another non spicy pizza. Great hidden gem. read more

Really, really, really good pizza. I saw this place being set up a few weeks ago - painted, tables brought in, etc. I came in for a quick lunch today to try it out. They are so new that all the processes are not running perfectly smoothly yet. Their soda machine was not working, and it was clear that the people behind the counter were still getting into the groove. It might be a family restaurant, which would be awesome - they all seemed to know each other. But these are necessary growing pains for any restaurant - really, for any business. The pizza came quickly, and - gasp of horror - was rectangular. This notwithstanding, it was absolutely delicious, one of the better pizzas I have ever had. What a hidden gem!! The pizza is incredible! The crust is a perfect blend of crunch and airy. I hate pizza where the crust is so thick and doughy. This is a delicious lunch spot. It isn't full service, so you will go to the counter and order before you sit down. The staff was friendly. The barbeque wings were delicious. It had plenty of sauce and was cooked perfectly so prepared to get your hands dirty. Then we enjoyed the meat pizza which was delicious. Gave Bill and Bali's a try on a Sunday afternoon. My wife and I walked in to find a couple of customers already seated and no employees at the counter. Not a big deal we seated ourselves and began looking at the menu. It took a solid 5-10 minutes for the girl working there to come out from the kitchen. She maybe greeted us but no other interaction really. We placed our orders on our phones for some pizza, salad, and 1 beer. After waiting awhile and watching her serve the only 2 other customers in the restaurant I had to ask her for my beer. This was all a little off putting but not really a huge deal until we got our food. My pizza was decent however my wife's salad had dirt or grains of sand in the lettuce. It clearly wasn't washed. Definitely won't be back and definitely would not recommend this place to anyone I know. read more
