It seems that most Bay Area residents abhor chain restaurants but most mom and pop shops in the South Bay are marginal at best (compared with those in San Fran and L.A.). Love this place! I like to get the Bill's Special Scramble. It has ground beef, spinach, onions, & scramble eggs. Instead of toast, I get the Hawaiian pancake. It has bananas, macadamia nuts, & coconut. My husband loves the crab cakes benedict. The servers are nice as well. I never received an attitude or bad service from any of them. I would suggest calling in to put your name on the wait list on a weekend day. I'm not sure if it helps, but it doesn't hurt to try. They make sure you have a full cup of coffee with is not the best but the service is pretty good. If you go on a weekend make sure to show up earlier than you expected because it gets packed. My favorite is the eggs benedict and the Belgian waffles. The restrooms are clean. Lunch for two will run up a nice bill ranging to about 40-50 dollars. read more

I finally found a dish I like, the portabello mushroom benedict with bacon with a bloody mary.

The "Famous" Bloody Mary was not great. It was thin, mixed with LOTS of actual pepper, and just bland otherwise. The thick french toast was pretty good. I don't like eggs benedict, but it looked amazing, and the person dining with me seemed to love it. The hash browns were delicious. All in all, I will be continuing my search for the perfect breakfast place.. and the best bloody Mary. I may visit Bill's again if I'm in the area. read more

GREAT place for breakfast. The service was great. The place was really crowded, yet we were seated within 5 minutes. All the food looked so good. 2 separate servers made sure all of our questions about the menu were answered. And although it was crowded, the food came quickly. And it was delicious. I had the Thick French Toast and a side a corned beef hash. It was great and I'd definitely go back. Great service and great food!!! read more

I have been to several Bill's Cafe but this one, I will not come back to. The food was not warm and the breakfast skillet was very moist and barely warm. Had to have pancake and breakfast skillet returned for reheating. Ran out of coffee and had to ask for water. So not only was the food bad but so was the service. read more

If you love brunch, then you need to come here!! If you knew me, you would know that I have absolutely NO patience! If I go to a restaurant and there's a wait that's longer than 15 minutes...I ain't havin' it! This is the ONLY place I'm willing to wait. I came here today and the wait was 40 minutes!! Sounds ridiculous, but definitely worth it. In all honesty, time goes by really fast. It did not feel like 40 minutes. They also have coffee available for those who are waiting. Service is great and quick! The staff are super friendly. I've even encountered the owner once and he offered my husband and I free mimosas. Who can say no to mimosas?! I try to taste everything on the menu, but my go to is the hash brown skillet or Belgian waffle. If you love hash brown and bacon, then go for the hash brown skillet. It's bacon lovers heaven! If you're in the mood for sometime sweet, my go to is the Belgian waffle. Yummy, crunchy and buttery goodness!! Everyone raves over the crab cake Benedict, but if you're looking for REAL crab cake, skip it! I wasn't a fan at all. It's made with imitation crab, which disappointed me! Overall, great environment. A local diner style restaurant that always has a crowd. Expect a wait for weekend brunch especially. All the basics like omelets, pancakes and french toast plus lots of other comfort foods. The steak and eggs is a great meal at any time of the day. Nice sized steak, with 3 eggs, potatoes and toast. You won't need another meal that day. Friendly service. read more

My husband and I stopped here with our three younger children and everyone was happy. The wait Sat. morning was about 30 min, with a self serve coffee station to enjoy while you wait. My husband and I both ordered eggs benedict. I love that you can split your benedict half and half, so you can try more than one kind. I had the Mexicali and El Paso and both were great. The kids ordered, cinnamon roll french toast, nutella and strawberry french toast and pancakes. Everything was delicious and fresh. Cafe is well staffed and service is quick. I came here yesterday for breakfast. I ordered breakfast combo- eggs, bacon, toast and pancakes.Those were the FLUFFIEST pancakes I have ever had. I am a pancake snob and the flappies were of the highest quality! All the food was delicious. The coffee was good- pretty average for a diner. Although it was pretty busy, I was immediately seated. Small parking lot, friendly staff, so many kinds of egg benedict!!! El Paso Benedict - Egg muffin + corned beef hash + poached eggs + hollandaise sauce = very fatty but yummy. You should be only eating half of this dish. They made the poached eggs just right... a lot of place overcook it and it doesn't end up runny. Banana Pancakes - When I first saw this plate, there were literally 4 little slices of banana & I was thinking that this better not be it. Banana is actually incorporated all throughout the pancake inside. Well made but nothing too distinctive. Waiters & bus boys were super friendly. I've visited the Bill's in Wilow Glen several times, so we decided to try this one out. I love the smaller portions they have available. We ate their for breakfast, and it was just enough food without feeling overly stuffed. Jimmy's a great guy who is also a client of ours, so we love supporting our local businesses any way we can. This Place is pretty good. It has a wide variety of breakfast items with huge portions. I like the free coffee while you wait, but beware once you sit down the coffee is not free anymore. I love coming here for weekend brunch. I've never had a bad meal here, and would recommend getting the bread pudding french toast. It's not too sweet, and not too big of a dish. It comes with walnuts and a grilled banana on top. The service is very good also. Food comes out pretty quickly and the staff are courteous and check up on you often to make sure you have everything you need. read more

Great little breakfast joint. Went there with co-workers on a Friday for lunch. The buttermilk pancakes were solid. I almost got a club sandwich, but figured they're known for breakfast so went the pancake route. Friend got the club, and it looked bomb. I'll have to get it next time... Good food, not spectacular, but good food overall with generous portions. Good service- at one point, the waitress remembered me, and before I ordered, she asked, "The regular?" Gasp, have I become a regular at this establishment? I am impressed. Like nearly all the Bills locations, it is always so crowded that parking is a pain. There is additional parking at the back at or Zanottos across the street though. I like the Veggie Skillet, and their hash browns are always yummy. I love that they are also dog friendly. On numerous occasions, the staff have brought out bowls of dog water with ice without us asking for it. read more

Decent breakfast/brunch place. The omelettes are just okay and taste exactly like the sum of its ingredients. They have unique pancake choices (e.g. "almond joy" and Oreo) that are worth trying. The only thing i have ever gotten here (on several occasions) is the giant strawberry cup. It's AWESOME! It has seriously so many strawberries and I cannot ever even finish it.
