I like the meat to bun ratio at this place, lots of meat with just enough bun! The tots, IMO, are the best I have ever had. Everyone was friendly and the service was quick! I was hesitant at first because the outside doesn't "grab" you. It looks pretty basic amongst all of the other flair within Branson the strip. My boys convinced me to give it a try for various reason - 1) the dollar amount was listed with one $; 2) the reviews were fantastic; and 3) "always eat local, dad - not chains!" Let me say this - this is not only one of the BEST burgers I've ever eaten, but everything about this place ROCKED! It's a full pound burger, so you won't leave hungry. One of my sons got the foot long chili cheese coney ("Nathan's!"), and it was also the best I've ever had. The onion rings were solid, and the tots were good as well. BUT THOSE SHAKES... Wow! Easily the best I've ever had. The strawberry was perfect consistency of flavor, fruit and thickness. The peanut butter chocolate malt was so good that everybody else got one. I tried voting (thebestofbranson.com) for their shakes and coneys, but the restaurant wasn't listed. Feeding five people got the price a little higher than one $ (I'd say two $$), but the experience was worth it. The 50's atmosphere and the servers just topped it off. Incredibly friendly. This place takes me back in time to old diners and record players. This review is for takeout only...Yet we felt the warm hospitality of the servers. The chicken burger was top notch and so was the butterscotch fried pie(although I would love to try a fruity flavor next time) pie and caramel concrete. Definitely a keeper. But then the "manager" and 70 something year old lady came to serve us our food and it was wrong, which is totally fixable, it wasn't that big of a deal and then she began arguing with me. Just as great as it was the first time we were here around seven years ago. We started with onion rings as an appetizer, and they were fantastic. We all got either burgers or cheeseburgers. One patty, at 1/2 lb. is plenty unless you're starving. Burgers are flavorful, and toppings are fresh and crisp. Tots and sweet potato fries were also delicious. For dessert, two of us got hot fudge sundaes, and the other two got the blackberry and peach cobblers. Ice cream was a little soft since they had been adding more mix, but it was still really good. The one downside is that it's cash only, but there's signs warning you in advance, and they've got an ATM if you need it. Still one of the better burgers I've had. There's a lot of of good burger joints in Branson and we didn't get a chance to try them all, but I'm so glad we listened to the online reviews and made it to Billy Bob's Dairyland. Absolutely fantastic burger! Fries were perfect as was the shake. Burgers seem to have become their own category of food these days with smash burgers, crazy expensive wagyu burgers, and everything in between. Billy Bob's was just a great burger. The food is good. We had a BLT and onion rings this time. The fries were good and crispy. The onion rings were a little greasy. Some of the bacon on the blt was rubbery and some was cooked crispy. I prefer crispy so I had to take some of it out. It did have great flavor though. We usually get burgers here. But we shared the BLT this time as we were not too hungry. Service is always great. We ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken sandwich meal to go. By the time we returned to hotel and opened our food, we found that those burgers only have meat in it and nothing else. No lettuce, no tomato, no onion, no pickle. Nothing. When we check back the pictures from Yelp, it is definitely not what it supposed to be! (-1 star) So, we called back to the restaurant and ask them about it. Then they said "oh! We include them when you ask for it. But you didn't ask for it!" Excuse me! So we asked to talk to the manager. After I described the situation, the manager just said "we are very busy. Just tell us what do you want! Do you want us to remake the order?" We were only two person and we don't needed two extra burgers, and we were exhausted after a day of travel and didn't want to leave the hotel room again. Instead, we said we are going to come back tomorrow, and let's give me a discount tomorrow? But the manager flip flopped, and said she can't make make the decision, and I have to talk to the owners tomorrow. (-1 star) I called the next afternoon, but then they say the owner is gone for the day already. As frustrated as I was, I left my number and told them have the owners call me instead. But that's the end, and the owners never call me back at all. (-1 star) I totally understand when someone make mistakes. We are all human. That's forgivable. But when you make excuses for your mistakes, doesn't want to fix that mistake, and not even call back and talk to the customers. That's unforgivable! read more
