Whoever is managing this restaurant should be terminated immediately. I have eaten at many BJ's and have never had this experience. My supposedly thinly sliced beef dip came out grey and in chunks with a couple of large pieces of unrendered fat. I only ate the fries. My partners salmon portion came out looking as though a cat had eaten half of it. It was sent back. Later we were told by 2 separate wait staff when they saw the dish in the pass they advised not to serve but someone else brought it out anyway. She was brave enough to taste the refire. It had a chemical taste and she then opted out of eating any more. While waiting for the check we noticed a thick film of dust on the divider that wafted near my drink when the server ran her finger across it to verify our claim. Disgusted we both went to the restroom before leaving the restaurant and found pure filth in both. Flooded in one stall, puddles in another in the women's room. In the mens room the entire floor was wet with what I imagine was a variety of liquids. The trash was full and surrounded by paper towels. The condition of this location and lack of attention should be an embarrassment to the franchise. read more

They poisoned my brother and didn't even apologize! My brother got food poisoning on Friday night we are certain BJs chicken wings were the cause because it was the only thing he ate that day that wasn't shared with anyone else. I called BJs the next day and spoke with manager to notify what happened. She was not apologetic at all!Just went straight into asking questions and shifting blame "I didn't work yesterday but I'll let them know" "no one else called in today with that complaint" just because no one else called doesn't mean my brother isn't sick! I left my number with them and was not called again. I can't believe we didn't get an apology. What terrible customer service. Lemme start off- the food is very good and the staff were very kind, but the service is absolutely horrible! We were seated right away (it was a large party of 9 and we'd called beforehand) but it took them 20 minutes to even come greet us and take drink orders. The entire restaurant was completely empty and in total it took our group 2 HOURS to get everything and pay. We waited FOREVER for everything! After we'd left, I had forgotten something in the restaurant so I'd went back to get it (around an hour later) and they still hadn't cleared our table! It was honestly gross! Here's the thing...it's hot here in the summer, we get it...but if you can't provide air conditioning, then you should not open your doors for business. How does a chain allow this? Aren't there standards to operate for any restaurant? Then there was the musty smell, which I'm wondering was associated with the heat. Regardless, management needs to make better judgment calls. What a horrible environment for customers and their poor staff. The waiters apologizing and forget about the poor kitchen staff who I imagine were all suffering. We had to leave. Food and waitress we're good. Manager stopped by to asked if everything was okay. There was a foul smell that breezed by the table multiple times during our stay. I mentioned this to the manager. She said she did not smell this and mentioned it might have been from somebody walking by. I said it was not a person problem, to which she laughed and walked away. For the rest of our stay she actively avoided our table taking the long route. I came in on a Wednesday night with two of my sons (7 & 9) at 7pm. The host said the wait would be 15-20 minutes...we were called in after 20 minutes. We had a very pleasant waitress who was very nice to my sons. Atmosphere was good. Food came out surprisingly quickly. We ordered calamari (good), and a couple kids menu items (corn dogs with fruit and fries). The boys ate it all. She gave each of the boys a small fruit bowl and garlic bread no charge...the boys loved that. I ordered the ribeye med-rare with fries and Brussels sprouts. The steak was alright, but the sides were not so good. Fries were overcooked and the sprouts were pretty bad (nothing like I had at a different location). We also ordered two piezookies (or whatever they're called), one salted caramel and the other strawberry shortbread...both delicious. I'm not against coming back, but won't drive out of my way for this location...I'll just visit the Roseville location (closer to me). I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. read more

First time to BJ's and needed a place to accommodate a group from work. The table has numerous appetizers and some entrees. The appetizers were Onion Rings, Pot Stickers, Avocado Egg Rolls and Wings. Came in on a Saturday evening, we had checked in online before leaving home which was about 15 mins away. When we arrived there was quite a line and people waiting. The hostess asked our name and I showed her my phone for waitlist, she tells me that they don't see my name and that service doesn't work anymore. She said the wait would be 20-25 mins, she took my cell number and said we would get text when table ready. Not happy about longer wait than my app stated but we were already here and didn't want that to spoil our evening. Right at 25 mins I get a text and we are taken to our table. They must have been short staffed and not filling all the tables as many tables available. We quickly ordered our food as we had plans within an hour. My granddaughter was offered a free starter dish which I thought was an awesome idea. She can color her menu and snack on alittle something while waiting. Our food arrived pretty quickly. Everything was done great and we were hungry so I forgot to take pics. My husband and I had their Bacon Cheeseburger, came with lots of bacon, lettuce tomato and pickles with a side of fries. Burger was a good portion size. My granddaughter got a kids Mac & Cheese meal with side of applesauce. She said is was delicious. Huge portion for a child size we took the rest home. My son got a Caesar salad and Mushroom burger he said it was good. When we were done eating our waiter who was awesome and checked in often was quick to come ask if we wanted dessert as he knew we were on our way to another event as we mention this when he asked us any plans after dinner. The place was very busy but we had great service and place was alittle noisy but what do you expect lots of people they have sports on many tvs around the restaurant. Not sure how this local staple has only 3 stars, but this location has been here for years and is packed every time we come!! Sure, they can get busy, and the food may not be perfect 100% of the time, but this is not fine dining - this casual lunch/dinner spot ranks the same for me as Lazy Dog, Yard house, Mimi's, etc! Linzee, our server, was great! Friendly, attentive and helpful! She said she was new, but we couldn't tell! I would certainly ask to sit in her section on a future visit. Our food was good! Caesar salad looked a bit dry, so I asked for an extra dressing that Linzee brought over quickly (even brought my mom an extra ranch for her wedge just in case!). Went to mix up my salad, and dressing was all at the bottom - more than enough lol. Jambalaya was drier than I'm used to, no sauce to soak up in the rice, but the flavor was great! Subbed the pilaf for brown rice, much better! The portion was so big, I could barely eat half! $23ish spent well. My mom had the rib special, $17.50 on Thursday for half rack with two sides. Her tomato bisque was delicious and the wedge salad looked great!! Ended with a salted caramel Pizookie - best one they have(when they don't have red velvet). What's the deal with their pizza? Have been going to BJs for over two decades now. Their pizza used to be crunchy, fluffy, light and delicious. Today my wife and I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza that tasted like it came out of a microwave. The dough was dense and chewy, the toppings were light and covered maybe half of each slice, and the BBQ sauces tasted like pure sugar. The service was fine, the food was absolute trash. Disclaimer is that I LOVE both this restaurant chain as well as the Parm Crusted Chicken is one of my top five fav foods. That said, this visit (my second to this location; first eating there) met all my expectations. A few months ago was my first visit to this location and due to covid-19 restrictions, I ordered the same Parm Crushed Chicken as curbside pick up to take home. The online ordering and the pick up in the parking lot was flawlessly. The food was well packed and still hot when I go home to eat my meal. This week, I was able to order my same favorite meal (Parm crusted chicken) to eat while sitting outside under a giant sun pop up set in the parking lot next to the restaurant. The weather was perfect. Sitting alone, the waitress was pleasant, check on me over the 90 minutes I slowly sit enjoying the experience. She was a highlight of the experience with good weather and my favorite food. She didn't rush me and it was one of my best times outside in the last year. read more

After sitting there for 10 minutes with not a single server, nor manager, acknowledging us, our family of five just got up and left. The door dash driver was on time, however the food was terrible. The French dip was cold. The bun and the meat were dried out. There wasn't enough AuJus to dip the sandwich and the portion of the coleslaw was literally only 2 teaspoons. The chicken club sandwich had too thick of chunks of chicken on the sandwich making it difficult to eat. The pizza was the saving grace. It was cold but easy to heat up. We go to BJ's in Folsom as often as we can. I love the deep dish pizza and I always have a beer. My wife loves their mahi mahi tacos or the southern fried chicken. Their food is great and we have a favorite waitress, Gwyn. She is sweet and always checking in to make sure you have everything you need. DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT. This was my second experience ordering takeout from BJs, the first time was not good (they forgot fries for one of the meals) but wanted to give it a second chance. Bad call on my part. All of our food was cold when picked up. My chicken club had NO chicken on it..... kind of a big part of a chicken club. My dad's French dip had like a spoonful of an jus on the side. There was no side of ranch or bbq sauce for my kids boneless wings and the kids fruit was pretty sad. I get we're not ordering from a 5 star restaurant but come on. Will never order out from them again. When we first arrived we were seated at a filthy table with food still on the seats, we had to for the seats to be washed before we could sit down, there were also crayons and crayon wrappers on the floor we asked to be picked up. Server come promptly to take our drinks orders and food orders. The food was a huge disappointment, my chicken parm was a platter of dried, crispy spaghetti with no sauce and two pieces of chicken breast with about a tablespoon of sauce on each, the garlic bead stick was extremely dry and was hard on the bottom. My brother's steak was well done, black on the outside and cold in the middle, he ordered rare. Niece and nephew were happy with their shrimp and my mother, whose birthday it was didn't say anything. On a side note, the waitress bought my mom a pazookie for her birthday, didn't say a word, lit a candle on top and practically threw it down in front of her. Apparently the pickup time is ignored. 100% on management or whoever is responsible for the takeout. I placed this order 1 hour in advance and specified a pickup time. They chose to fire the pizzas immediately despite what was written on the tag. I don't know if it is a training issue or complete disregard for the customers request. It was almost black around the edges, super greasy in the center, and only just cooked in between. I got the prime rib - it was ehh. So impressed by this restaurant-- it was packed on an early Saturday night due to many senior proms in the area, etc. But we were immediately greeted and got our table, drinks so quickly! The manager was great- as was our server LIZ!! All our food was good and hot- from the potstickers and boneless buffalo wings to the chicken bacon blt and excellent crispy jalapeño burger!
