The is my first time experiencing menudo and it was a great experience. This place food is authentic! They have everything from break fast, lunch and dinner specials to accommodate the whole family. Prices are reasonable and it can get busy so plan ahead on the weekend. Team Smiley sent

I'm not sure what's happening. Our waitress ignored us. Didn't offer a drink order. Didn't bring extra napkins. I had to go to the bathroom to get papertowels. I have the 4piece chicken and obviously you need more that 1 small napkins. She never checked on us until we were done with the meal. She didn't bring butter for my corn on the cob... not sure why? We tried to stop her to ask for our drinks and she kept walking while we shouted our order to her. Very rude and discouteous. This is our second negative contact with this place. The food was burnt.... ham steak and potato over cooked/burnt black and chicken was greasy. We won't be going back to this location. We tip waitresses very good bc they have a hard job but you ma'am did not rank any tip at all. Then we had 2 live wants walking on our table when the food arrived. We had to kill them while eating lunch. Gross

A very classic and comforting diner feel, but the service was kind of slow. I'd recommend it if you have time to wait and slowly enjoy your food, but not if you want a quick brunch place. Overall, the food was pretty good though. I got the build your own breakfast, and it was pretty standard eggs, bacon, and a waffle. Nothing super special, but just classic diner food done well.

Black Bear Diner didn't disappoint. The food was so delicious. We had so much food we had to take some home. Loved their coffee it was good. Service was great. Our waitress was attentive. Only comment would be I wish there was a hostess at the front and cashier. There was a bit of a wait but would have been nice to not have to wait for someone. Ambiance - It's a diner LOL During breakfast there's a lot going on, lots of families with kids, etc. But it was totally fine and expected.

Me and my husband ate at this location last week for the first time and enjoyed ourself so much we came back the following week. We went both days on a Tuesday around 1:30 and it wasn't that busy our waitress Michelle let us sit where ever we wanted, I appreciated that. She was our waitress for both days and each time she was attentive, hospitable and welcoming we came back because of her. Last week I tried the BLT on sourdough and this week I ordered the steak and eggs with hashbrowns and toast for $12.99 it was their mon-fri special it was alot of food at a great price. The food and their strawberry lemonade was good. The food, the decor and our waitress Michelle made it an enjoyable and pleasant experience.

I came here with my family and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. The wait for our food was very long. I ordered a Cobb salad, which should be one of the quickest items to prepare, but it took forever to come out. Because we were running late, I only had time to take a few bites before we had to leave and I took the rest to go. When I got home, I noticed the eggs in my salad had mold all over them. This is a serious health hazard and honestly reflects very poorly on the restaurant's food quality and safety standards. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their quality control so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I am not easily impressed but I had to have another of that sauce. The only thing I would critique is the beef perhaps could have been sliced. If I tried to take a bite - a bit of the fillet mignon tip would fall out. Minor complaint. The only reason I cannot give a 5 is when I came for lunch on a weekday I noticed no one at the counter while I ate. Some people came and walked out because no one greeted them. I think one guy was on a break and some girl was doing something else. That is the only thing I would say was bad and it did not personally happen to me. The ambiance is nice - I liked the decor but my girlfriend claimed it was a bit much for her. Me personally? I thought it was cool!

The server was patient at the beginning and because we were still looking over the menu, my iced tea took awhile, I'm not sure if they were brewing it or not. When we ordered it took almost 25 minutes to get our food. I ordered a chicken sandwhich and my friend ordered a burger. I never got my iced tea refill. I felt like with us sitting on the patio they kind of forgot about us. I know a family that sat outside ended up leaving. Super cute place. Good food. Just slow service. I will probably give this place another try if I am ever in the area.

The restaurant and food are definitely giving Hawaii vibes. This is the type of restaurant where you order and pay before they seat you. It took a while to order, but once we were seated our food came out right away. You will more than likely wait in line, but it's worth the wait. They have a lot of staff members that continually check on you at your table. The food is delicious! We both had the loco moco, one with fried rice and one with steamed rice. The fried rice is top tier! We both ordered a side of spam and the Portuguese sausage. Every single thing on our plates was finger licking good, but my favorite thing was my Ube iced coffee. It was delicious and not too sweet which is a huge plus for me. The only downside is that now I want to plan a trip to Hawaii. Lol I highly recommend you go eat at Scramblers Cafe.

Scramblers had been on our list for a while after seeing so many reels hyping it up, so we finally…read moredecided to check it out. I ordered the Cowboy Chilaquiles. Unfortunately, they weren't really my style. The sauce had a tangy flavor that just wasn't for me. If you enjoy a brighter, more acidic profile, you may like it, but I tend to prefer a richer, more traditional flavor. The coffees leaned more toward being lightly sweetened specialty drinks than bold, robust coffee. They tasted more like a dessert or treat than an actual cup of coffee. Again, that's just my preference. I like my coffee strong. As for the pancakes and waffles, they definitely looked great and had that Instagram-worthy presentation. But once you got past the aesthetics and unique menu options, the flavor itself didn't really stand out. Personally, I still enjoy breakfast at places like Denny's, IHOP, Cracker Barrel, or even a good local mom-and-pop diner more. Overall, everything felt... pretty mid. Nothing was bad, but nothing really wowed me either. I also think this comes down to the type of experience you're looking for. Scramblers seems to cater more to a younger, social media-driven crowd. The staff was polite and friendly, but the service felt more scripted than heartfelt. They had pleasant voices and good manners, but I personally value service that feels genuine and naturally welcoming over rehearsed hospitality. At the end of the day, I'm just more of an old-school, traditional breakfast guy. If you're into trendy brunch spots with photogenic dishes and creative drinks, Scramblers might be exactly what you're looking for. It just wasn't quite my cup of coffee. My rating: 6.5/10. Worth trying once to see if it's your style, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Let me start with the good news.... this place is beautiful. The layout makes you want to sit down and enjoy. The bar area is large which I like so we aren't in the family area. It was just the two of us and the peaceful atmosphere is appreciated. The sea scallops were very good. Wished there had been more on the plate of that as we left still very hungry after paying about $80. Now for the bad news.... 1) the lobster bisque looked very creamy when it came, however once you get away from the top layer....runny like water. Bique should be creamy and light.... not runny. Then the lobster was cut up so small that you couldn't see it or taste it. 2) the flatbread was thinner than paper and soggy. Flatbread is thin, but not thinner than a cracker, and not soggy Miss Naomi. We have had flatbread before. This is not our first rodeo. Also it was blah... no taste. 3) the tuna tar tare was the worst I've ever had .... ever. All I could taste was tomatoes. Needless to say we only ate half of all the bad items above only bc we were hungry. We did eat all 3 scallops... so now we will need to go home to eat. When I tried to discuss this politely with Miss Naomi she got defensive and said flatbread is supposed to be very thin. Since it was our first time there I wanted to know if this was their regular way of cooking. No need to get defensive just understand our concerns and show you care that we didn't eat our food and don't want to take the rest home. That should be of concern, but again that shows that the company does not care. You are a reflection of your company. Your tip is a reflection of your attitude.
