But the customer service execution is TERRIBLE and this is not my first bad service experience here. But last time; I walked in with my SERVICE DOG and Allen, the guy first on the line, told me the dog could not be there, I told him it was a service dog, and he demanded I show him the certification! Which I don't just carry in my pocket. He proceeded to tell me he was not going to give me service if I didn't take the dog outside. I felt ashamed, discriminated and singled out in front of everyone that was there. I've been tough on Blaze in the past, but after trying other similar build your own pizza places, Blaze comes out on top, and I have to give credit where credit is due. The lines can be out of control sometimes, and the service and pizza really suffer (because then they push them too far to the back and they get burnt) then, and so that's my major criticism. But when I come when it's less busy, Blaze is great. It's not my favorite kind of pizza in the world, but it's definitely a lot healthier than my beloved NY greasy pies. I love the customization, the veggies are always nice and fresh, and the ability to order ahead online definitely saves a bit of a headache, especially when they are busy. I also really like the drinks here- the unsweetened iced tea, lemonades and agua frescas are all great and refreshing. I also enjoy the orange mango soda. Blaze has earned the extra star with time, and I definitely appreciate the ability to get a decently priced filling meal (with leftovers usually!) that is liked by me, my friends, and my boyfriend and also open late. read more

I've been to Blaze 3 or 4 times already & each time it was a good experience. Today was a different story, I placed the order online so that I could skip the line when I arrived and make it home quickly to enjoy my hot pizza. This was not the case, I waited for my online order for 20 minutes because they forgot to make one of the 2 pizzas I ordered. On top of that I was ready to get out of the chaos in there that I didn't even receive the side Caesar salad I paid for. To my surprise once I got home I opened the s'mores pie and it was completely burned I don't understand how they even had a clean conscience giving that to me it's truly disappointing. Pizza isn't terrible, not the best, but certainly not the worst. I ordered delivery today and the driver said he didn't get my address and so left my food at a random house. When I contacted him, he said he wasn't driving 20 minutes to my house. Rude and unprofessional, yes, but understandable. When I called Blaze delivery support the girl at first didn't want to refund me, then when I insisted she "we'll give you a refund this time." THIS TIME, like it was my fault that they don't have a good online system that doesn't give drivers customer addresses. The pizza isn't good enough for me to deal with issues. My daughter ordered 3 pizzas from this place and ended up getting an empty box for one of the pizzas. She called twice to make them aware of it and both times was out on hold only to be hung up on. I was really impressed with this place. First time trying this pizza! I definitely liked the concept, it's like Chipotle but for pizza! Since it's new, the place was super clean and the staff was on their 105% customer service. That means opening the door for us, greeted us, helped us throughout the process, and continuously checked on us while we were seated. Hopefully this just isn't for the opening and stays this way! I had a "simple pie" which is $5.00 and my bf had the "build your own pizza" which costs $7.95. Your pizza goes down the line with your name on it as different employees work in different sections. What I got is that 1 employee hands off the dough to the line, 1 works on spreading the sauce, 1 does the cheese, 1 does the meats, and lastly it is handed off to be cooked in the oven. The pizza was perfect. Not too sauce-y, not to cheesy, thin and crispy! The total with one drink was below $20, which isn't bad at all considering each pizza is made to YOUR standard and it's prepared directly in front of you. Since they aren't fully opened yet, it was very packed for their 5-8pm free event tonight so the staff behind the counter seemed a little over whelmed but they seemed to have things under control nonetheless. That's where Blaze Fire steps in... I read about the free pizza on 3/20 for their opening and thought, why the hell not?!? I stopped in around 5pm and the line outside was beginning to grow but I had anticipated some sort of a wait. As we waited in line, an enthusiastic employee handed out menus, explained the concept, and made sure that we were following them on some form of social media- great marketing! I finally made it inside and ordered the Red Vine and a Simple Pizza for the bf and I. I know the employees were new but they didn't seem to know what the Red Vine was (basically a margarita pizza). I moved through the line (sauce, cheese, toppings) similar to Chipotle. I have to say they were a little chincey with the cheese on the Simple (plain) pizza but since it was free, I didn't say anything. We took the pizza home but I think it would have tasted better right out of the oven and not 7 minutes later. The red sauce on both pizzas was good. As I mentioned the plain pizza lacked cheese so basically it was sauce and bread. Honestly, I would give them 3.5 stars but since it's their opening week and the employees worked super hard, I rounded up. Ever since Kramer's "build your own pizza" idea on Seinfeld I've been waiting for the concept to materialize. It's a bit overwhelming when you walk in for the first time. I get the idea: choose your pizza or choose your combo or create your own (like Subway). Walking in, it's hard to see the options when the place is so noisy, crowded, and the line snakes to the door. Fortunately the person who greeted me saw my "deer in the headlights look", and explained the whole process. She also drew a smiley face on my order sheet :) when I told her I was new to this. I like the way they have a different person for each process: dough, sauce, cheeses, meats, veggies. I don't eat meat and wouldn't appreciate any mixing due to using same person using same gloves , etc. After your custom pie goes through its "assembly line, It is placed in the pizza oven. In 180 seconds you have fresh delicious pizza with a thin crispy crust. My delicious creation had classic red sauce, extra mozzarella, Gorgonzola, spinach, basil, tomatoes, artichoke,sautéed onion, roasted garlic, zucchini, and mushrooms. Blaze is a genius to be able to combine "assembly line" and "fun and creative" in one sentence. This place is now totally my favorite pizza place. Only problem is, they don't have one in Dade county yet. There are enough reviews explaining the process, so I won't repeat here. It's nice to watch your pizza being assembled, more fun than clicking on a virtual pizza online. There's quite a selection of toppings, both meat and vegetables. Nothing too fancy or gourmet-y, but they do have toppings like goat cheese, gorgonzola, fresh mozzarella, arugula and roasted garlic. Which is more varieties than many other pizza places. I also like that they use cherry tomatoes. Add in the options for vegan cheese and gluten-free dough, it gets most dietary preference covered - unless you are into paleo or raw food (and if you are reading this I'm sure you're not). It takes about 3 minutes after you finished ordering for the pizza to be ready, which sure beats waiting half an hour for delivery. "Super Fast" and "Delicious"! Another winning combination. I thought they are a bit stingy with the toppings - when I asked for artichoke, the girl peeled off leaf after leaf and tore it apart to spread out on the pizza - but when eating the pie, there were plenty toppings in each bite. And you can always ask them to add a little more of whatever you like. We tried the blood orange lemonade but it was waaay too sweet for us. Tips: - Don't forget to ask for the pesto drizzle (and arugula) after they pull the pizza from the oven. - Next to restroom is a shelf with condiments and empty take out boxes. I was concerned that we wouldn't have time to eat and make it to the game in time. When we walked in the line was to the door and I was a little confused on how the whole ordering thing worked. The employee that was taking the initial orders saw our look of confusion and took the time explain to us how to order. Think Chipotle, but for pizza. I loved "following my pizza" down the line! Kinda fun actually! We ordered the Green Stripe pizza after seeing Blue A.'s photo, plus I love pesto! Each of the employees on the line were so friendly and asked questions at each stage of the pizza making process to make sure each ingredient was ok to put on our pizza. They have TONS of topping options too! Once at the end there's a refrigerated section that has craft beer, drink options, and an array of their salads that are conveniently pre-packaged. The salads are actually made fresh every day and I like the idea of them being ready to go in case you're in a hurry. By the time we paid and found a table to sit at our pizza was magically ready. What kind of sorcery is this? The pizza took 10 minutes at most to cook and it was to perfection. I really liked their dough because it's thin and crispy and doesn't fall apart when you fold it in half to eat it. (Which is the proper way to eat pizza, if you didn't already know!) This is a fantastic idea and really fun spin on pizza. Blaze is great for kids of all ages as they have a make your own option and you can put as much or as little on your pizza as you desire; catering to the most picky eater or the ones that literally like everything but the kitchen sink as a topping! I bought my Girlfriend a cauliflower pizza last night and it gave her food poisoning. We did not add any meats only an assortment of cheese and veggies. I am just a huge fan of Blaze pizza. It is so simple, efficient, and delicious! For less than $9, you get to build your own personalized pizza with unlimited toppings. I remember the first time I went, I was impressed with the quality ingredients that were so fresh and flavorful. I hear this place can get really crowded (especially pi day promotion), but luckily I have always been in and out with no long wait. I have been here multiple times and it is definitely consistent in terms of service and product. Their pizza dough is key because it is strong enough to hold all the toppings, but still has a crispy bite to it. I try different combinations when I come because there are so many options, but at the end I always have the bbq sauce drizzle on top. I really don't know why but I just think their bbq sauce is so good haha. The staff here are really friendly and helpful so I never have a problem with customer service. I usually don't eat this late, but had a busy night and was struggling to find a good place to eat after 10PM in the Plantation/Davie area. I was driving by this place and the name looked very familiar to me (I remember reading someone's review or check-in here on Yelp). In any case, I most definitely had to stop in and give it a try. This restaurant is located in a brand new shopping plaza across from the Tower Shops in Davie on University Drive just south of I-595 (directly south of the newly built Whole Foods Market). The parking lot appears small in size, but I anticipate it being more than sufficient for the number of stores that will be located here. So far only this place and a Starbucks is open. A Sleep By Number store is opening up soon....and maybe one other store (I'm not entirely sure). The restaurant was nearly empty when I arrived. Two or three customers ordering food and about four people dining in the restaurant. The restaurant was very clean and the employees greeted me upon entry. They welcomed me and asked if it was my first time there. After confirming that it was my first visit, the gentleman assisting me immediately began to explain the menu to me and advising of all my options. After taking a minute or two, I finally decided on a pre-selected pizza (Chicken BBQ - with no adjustments or amendments in my part). The pizza was prepared right in front of me...similar to how subs are prepared in front of you at Subway restaurants (...as an example and point of reference --- I guess Chipotle would be a good point of reference as well). Once all the toppings are added, while your pizza is placed in the oven (which apparently only takes 180 seconds to cook....bake....BLAZE), you then proceed to the cashier to pay. A few moments later your pizza is removed from the oven and any final additions (in my case, the BBQ drizzle) are added. The pizza itself is a thin layer pizza and is quite tasty. The pizza didn't seem greasy either. It wasn't the best tasting pizza I've had, but the overall ease of ordering and the speed of which your custom made pizza is ready, will make me return for subsequent visits. read more

I was brave enough to make my first visit to this place during Pi Day. They were offering their pizzas for $3.14 (pi)! We arrived at 6:00pm and waited over an hour and half to finally place our order but the wait was well worth it. If you are not familiar with the concept, basically is a Subway for pizza. At the end it gets baked for 180 seconds where you have the option to add an additional finishing sauce on top. I ordered two because I was starving and I'm no small guy but was full with just one! I love the concept of this place! When I went the line was OUT the door! I like how fast it is, but it can get pretty hectic. A handful of families scattering to find a table. The worst part was the man taking the pizzas out of the oven, he was throwing all the metals plates to the corner then he would complain if you stood around. I should've recorded him, it was pretty funny to watch him throw the plates and hear clashing metals the entire time I was eating. I had no idea where to even stand because all the tables were taken or dirty. A good tip is, make sure you know what topping you want on your pizza because the workers rush you! I wouldn't say this is the best pizza place, but I wouldn't say it's the worst. The prices are affordable. The pizza was paper thin and couldn't hold the amount of topping I got, therefore my pizza was pretty sloppy and sad looking. Not sure if I'll be returning. read more

I went a month ago and just remembered to do this. When I went into Blaze some of the workers were whispering and looking at my guy friend and I. Then while we were near the oven the guys at the oven had their boxers showing which is literally disgusting since you're handling people's food. Luckily the food is always great so of course I'll be returning but hopefully with better customer service. read more

Have been meaning to try this place for a while but it is always jam packed when I go by. And now I see why! What an awesome deal - $7.95 for a pizza with whatever toppings you want, and there are many to choose from! I like that they have recommended combinations. It was a little hard to hear the lady who took my order, she thought I said "one top" when I actually said "white top". Fortunately I saw it written out and was able to correct. The white top has white sauce, garlic, mozz, bacon, oregano and arugula. The line didn't exactly move fast but it wasn't terribly slow either. They sell it as a personal size pizza but it is pretty big. I couldn't eat a whole one. The pizza comes out HOT and fast. I waited a while before I ate it. It was delicious! The crust was thin and just the right texture. Considering how fast it gets cooked I was expecting burned bottom and mushy crust but it wasn't at all. A little salty though. I think the toppings guy put on a sprinkle of sea salt so I would probably omit that next time. I may also use the order online feature on my next visit. Had plenty to take home and liked that they had people milling about refilling drinks and bringing boxes. This is a winner! read more
