OMG! Been here a long time ago, and thought it wasn't so bad so decided to pay a revisit today. It's gone so bad I doubt I'll ever return. Service was lacking not to say the least(had to ask for hot sauce and mustard plus had to remind them to bring out the rest of the dim sum and realized they completely forgot to steam them!), but the food was terrible! Shrimp dumplings(ha gow) were over steamed to the point the thick skin fell off each time I tried to lift with chopsticks so had to pick up the fallen pieces to eat bit by bit. Pork dumplings(siu mai) so oily it's dripping! Chicken feet were too chewy and had a funky foul taste unlike other places. The special the waitress kept pushing as a not to miss item if ordered with over 2 dim sums was meh. Too watery and the lobster itself was still lukewarm as if it's been sitting around for a while after already made. With all that and they jacked up the prices over 45% more than before. No wonder while other places such as Longo nearby had to wait over 30 mins this place was just walk in and be seated right away during lunch on a Saturday. Besides Sea Bo in El Monte, this by far was the worst dim sum place in SoCal! read more

Completely ignored my group of 8 just because we don't speak Chinese. Stood there for about 5 mins, while all employees just keep walking back and forth. Completely ignoring us. I stopped one of the host (wearing suit) told him that we are 8 people. He told us "wait" stood there for another 5 mins. It is now 10 mins of just waiting. It's more like 3.5 stars. Came here last night to celebrate a visit from family. Very typical food that you would find in any standard Cantonese seafood banquet restaurant. We were overall pleased with the service and quality of the food. Decor was pretty nice. Lots of private rooms. Service was above average IMO in the sense that the wait staff were quite attentive about changing plates often and actually spoke to us like guests. I've been here for dimsum before and they're definitely very good. 5 stars for the dimsum. But the dinner dishes were just kind of meh in my opinion. We had: Whole free range chicken - 5 stars - best dish of the night. It was a good size chicken. Cooked to perfection, fresh, and no yellow dye on the skin. Seafood clay pot - 4 stars - pretty good. Ingredients were good. A little bit soupy Walnut shrimp - 2.5 stars - not good. They really need to fix this dish since it's a staple. I had an unfresh shrimp and felt that it was too soggy/mushy. Someone also thought that the nuts tasted a little stale. Sticky ribs - 4.5 stars - pretty good. Ribs were very meaty, tender in the inside and had a good coating of sauce over the flash fried exterior. Liked it! Baby bok choy with mushrooms - 5 stars - veggie was very fresh and dried shitake mushrooms were so thick and meaty. Chinese broccoli (Gai Lan) with dried sole - 0 stars - huge disappointment as it's usually one of me favs. The entire thing was bitter. It was cut and prepared well but the veggie was either rotten or something else. Fried tofu - 3 stars - couldn't believe that they don't have the traditional light colored fried tofu bricks. They only have the small cubes prepared spicy salt style. I asked them to keep the pieces big so they ended up giving me slabs. The shell was not crunchy. Just not at all what I expected. Seafood fried yellow noodle - 3.5 stars - the noodle was mostly soggy and defeats the purpose of getting this dish. The seafood was good though. Crab and fish maw soup - 4 stars - pretty good soup. French style beef - 3 stars - tasted good, but I had a half raw piece that got wasted. They also put in too many king mushroom pieces possible as a filler. Green bean kelp soup dessert - tasted good and not too sweet, but the color was off-putting. It was light brown. Maybe they used a medium dark slab or something as sweetener but it didn't look good. I thought that it was a decent meal overall, but I don't think I'll come here again until I try other restaurants in the area first. read more

I've been here many times with big group for birthday or new year celebration. I love the squab and the roast piglet here. Their food is consistently good no matter you have a big party or a small company of friends. Mostly I love their comfortable table with big chair that feeling so comfortable. We have always came here even before they changed owners. My parents have had horrible experiences here. I just so happened to come with them to eat. They lacked communication in letting us know our food was coming or will be delayed. They missed a few items and almost argued that they brought out the items or it wasn't marked. If the staff is going to talk shit in their native language, go somewhere else like in the back. Not directly in front of or around the area we are at. Had dinner with my family last Friday and boy is this place fancy. We arrived around 5:30 and it was pretty empty. There are private rooms and apparently, that's the place to be because our server kept disappearing into those rooms with some amazing dishes of stir-fried clams, crab, and whatnot. But, back to my dinner: we ordered a sampler platter: bbq pork, duck and roast pork with cracklin' skin. The center portion was goma wakame seaweed salad, stir fried string beans with (very salty) minced pork; beef shortribs that were tasty, but kind of tasted like pork (it was definitely beef), fish filet with tender choy sum, seafood soup, and one other dish. If you want steamed fish, it will be market price (pricey, no surprise). Generally, the food was very flavorful and well executed, espcially the veggies and roast pork -- the string beans were the best! I would say some of their dishes are not what I'm used to from other Chinese restaurants flavor profile-wise (not that it's a bad thing), so I'll have to come back to try some of their seafood dishes. Service was pretty good. Our waiter was dressed up and wore gloves. The place has a hotel banquet hall vibe. Seems this place is popular for dimsum as I've heard, so I'll have to come back during the day and see how that goes. Will be back! read more

Came in recently again for dim sum and dined in the main dining room. Service is so different than in a private room. They have a few specials eg fried squab or lobster with noodles. We ordered the lobster with noodles and was told since it was a special item, everything was made in advance so they can't use less salt or oil. It was pretty salty. We took it home to mix it in with some noodles. Their other dim sum dishes are pretty good. Some of their buns are better than others. I think my favorite items here are the plain rice noodles and the beef rice noodles. There is a minimum to have a private room. If you have a small party, they will tell you the rooms are for family members of the restaurant only. This is false as I've sat in it before with a large party. I don't know if the waiters are not properly trained or just have a bad attitude. The waitresses on the other hand are way nicer. read more

Excellent food quality. Although on the more pricey side, you get what you pay for here. I absolutely love their Lobster and Hong Kong style duck. They are always perfectly cooked and consistently flavored every time along with all their other dishes. Also, the portions of all their dishes are pretty generous so each item can last at least two meals or split with multiple people. I'm thankful it's very close to my house so I order to go from here often. New Cantonese restaurant in the SGV.....open for morning dim sum breakfast/brunch from 10am-3pm and then for dinner from 5-10pm daily. My senior citizens and I were here for breakfast dim sum only. The tea set fee per person is $1.99 in the main dining room and $2.99 per person inside a private room. The pricing for their dim sum varies from weekdays and weekends/holidays. Their variety of dim sum is just average but they do offer some other fancier dishes on the back of the dim sum menu. We just ordered 6 types of dim sum and 1 noodle entree dish. Everything tasted proper, made with fresh ingredients and prepared in a timely manner. The new staff were still adjusting and learning in their new environment during this soft opening. Wrong dishes were brought to our table a few times but overall service was good. Our tea pot was quickly refilled without us asking twice and we were greeted and thanked on the way in and out. New Dim Sum spot. I came to check this place out last weekend and to my surprise the decor inside was really nice with a couple private room for large groups. The shrimp Sui Mai was decent, but not cheap. Sadly, the beef rice rolls were cold and was not hot and steamy like I was hoping for. I was really disappointed that they did not have Sriracha, this is a must and essential for every Chinese Restaurant! Service definitely needs to better, unfortunately some of the staff does not speak English, so be prepared to whip out Google Translate if you not fluent in Chinese. read more

Came here last night to try it out for a mini birthday celebration. The restaurant is very grand and spacious There are VIP rooms for private parties and events . In each room are private bathrooms ! Also there are large screens to watch tv or sing karaoke in those rooms . The food was also very delicious ! The seafoods are very fresh. the dishes we ordered were not too salty (this is the highest form of compliment in our culture ) The walnut dessert soup with glutinous rice ball is the best dessert soup I have had ! Went there during the 2nd week of their grand opening. Understood there was a long line. So was ok to wait about 2 hours to try this place with my family of 4 hoping that it is someplace we would like to visit often because it is close to our house. After our 2 hour wait we got seated. No more ladies pushing the cart around probably because their is no room for it. We started to order dishes. The dumplings were a little bigger than other places. Took about 30 mins to start getting a few items of our food after we ordered. There were 2 missing dishes. We asked 3 times for it in the next hour and they said it is coming. Found out that 2 of the sui Mai were uncooked. Still missing my 2 items after 2 hours. Was charged $250 for a family of 4 for 8 trays of dumplings. They still didn't give us our 2 missing items or replaced the raw items. Each party member is charged $2.50 for tea even if you don't drink tea. Super slow service. Expensive and bad service. Visited this restaurant for dim sum on a weekday. Short and sweet, they serve pretty much everything other restaurants have. Their quality is pretty good and items were tasty. The prices are a little high but they get higher on the weekend. The tables are nicely spread apart. They don't use carts here even though there is room. Like coming here before but changed my mind after my last visit. They seated us in one of the private rooms in a really small table, not smart since we had 4 people. Barely had any room for our food. Service was non-existent except for the Mexican busboy who came in once in a while to clean up, had to ask for chili and napkins from him cuz the waitress never bothered coming back. Food was ok but one of the chicken feet w/ herbal soup was cold, and the pork blood was also cold. They even forgot our har gow, took them 1 hour to bring it over, by that time we were almost done.
