I was surprised how much I enjoyed my lunch at this not-so-fast casual eatery. Their menu is small, mainly serving tacos, burritos, fries, rolled tacos (taquitos), and milkshakes. The simple, modern interior is quite small with maybe half a dozen tables with traditional Mexican music blaring through the speakers. I ate there but noticed most of the business was take-out. I placed my order at the front counter with a very nice woman. I decided to have five rolled tacos and a blue horchata milkshake. It took close to ten minutes for my order to be ready. The woman was very apologetic about it taking so long so I think it's usually quicker than that. The rolled tacos were fantastic. Crispy tortillas rolled around shredded beef and covered with heaps of guacamole, sour cream, tomato, onions, lettuce, and cheese. Messy and delicious, these were easily in the top tier of taquitos I've enjoyed. The horchata milkshake was incredible. It was the world's best horchata transformed into a shake (and colored blue). I loved it. A look on the interweb looks like it is a small chain which I hope continues to expand somewhere much closer to where I live. read more

So I ordered online as I pulled in the parking lot walked into the establishment stood by the counter and watched as the folks in the back were making orders. My order contained asada fries and rolled tacos I ask the cashier to please let the folks making the food know that i wanted fresh fries, I was watching for about 10 min as they were very busy not once did they drop fresh fries. Shortly after the cashier proceeded to call my name for my order And I told her that I asked for fresh fries, her response was I told the chef, but yet they still gave me cold fries when I declined the order, she goes back tells the chef. So now they make the fresh fries. And when I get my order, the cashier has the nerves to say is this hot enough? This is the third time that blue burro Has served me cold food.This is unacceptable , especially when i'm standing there watching you. If a customer asks for fresh food, the customer should get fresh food, not cold food. I like your food but I will not be paying for cold food, especially after I tell that I want fresh food. read more

I was really disappointed in this place. It's been a while since I've been here and I would get the large surf and turf chips. Well they no longer have the large, it's one regular size. So I got the 3 rolled tacos with it. My wife got a surf and turf burrito. All of the had more lettuce than meat and my wife's burrito had like 3 shrimp in it. The tacos tasted a little over done and not much flavor. They also got rid of my wife's favorite drink, cucumber something. When we got there no one else was in the restaurant but all of the tables were dirty. The girl taking the order was really nice but that's about it. I'd have to say we won't be eating there again. 50 dollars for subpar food, I can pay less at Taco Bell and get more favorite. It sucks when a place you think downgrades their food but raises the prices. Time to look for a new place to enjoy a quick stop Mexican food spot. read more

I ordered just once from here thinking this was Mexican food. Wrong. No chips or salsa, however minuscule, arrived with the food. Not even a garnish with the quesadilla. No sour cream either. I must admit, I tend to gauge my opinion of a restaurant based first on their salsa and then the chips. Two strikes. I can no longer recall what their "combination" section of the menu looked like. (I should add my caveat just here: I was working within the Yelp app.) I can only recall they did not have a cheese enchilada and chile relleno combo. So we did order that cheese quesadilla, however redundant. And a wet bean and cheese burrito. The flavor was wonderful. The only thing that would have made it better is cheese. You know, we pay a premium to order using the services, including the restaurants having to markup their meals (apparently). Fees for this, that, and every bloody thing. I was not going to deny the driver a tip as he did his job well. That said... will I order from Blue Burro again? Nope. read more

The carne asada fries, shakes, and horchata was good, but nothing too special to note. The cheese on it, is like in clumps.. overall the food at THIS LOCATION is a 6/10. The bixby knolls location has better chips! Service : they are extremely slow. I'm not sure how the person who ordered after me, received their order before me. I thought maybe because the nachos take a while to make. There was only 1 other person inside when we arrived at 7pm so we were greeted, ordered, and received our food fairly quick. Service was good and the place was very clean. It is the cost/quality of the food for me that did not do it. It was roughly $4-6 per taco and they were OKAY. Decent size tacos. The salsas....bring your own. The habenero was super watery and the others did not have much of a flavor. Go find a taco stand in the city and get much better quality for literally half the price. read more

I've ordered about 3 times and each time was disappointing so I will NOT be coming back. First time wasnt too bad, the wait time was just to long. Second time, i ordered online so it would be ready by the time I clocked out for lunch. Went inside, and Still had to wait, whatever. Third time, I ordered it even earlier so that It would be ready when i clocked out for lunch. It said my order would be ready around 5:49, sweet just right when my lunch started. So i go inside and Im on the phone and the cashier doesnt even acknowledge me, maybe because I was on the phone who knows. after 15-20 minutes im getting irritated because my order should have been ready. So i walk up and ask if they have my order. They said some guy walked in and said he was picking up for "Adrianna" which was my name. Crazy. So im assuming they dont even check for proof of purchase which is kinda ridiculous assuming anyone can just take a meal right? Now I doubt this guy came in with my name, and instead the worker just gave him an order. Really dumb and poor decision. Anyways, just waiting for my refund to process. This is located in the Target shopping center. As soon as I entered, the young man Ab something greeted me. I glanced at his name tag and I feel horrible I don't remember his name but his service made a lasting impression. He was very friendly and made excellent recommendations. He talked me into Blues Famous Rolled Tacos. I saw them on IG and that's what brought me in here. I really enjoyed the beef in the rolled tacos. And the tortilla was fried just right, not too hard or soft. The carne asada was very tender, well cooked, flavorful, and not fatty or chewy. I really enjoyed the lettuce and Pico on top. This isn't a hole in the wall Mexican spot. There was a cool painting with Spanish words and pictures. I wish I had room to try the shakes. Maybe next visit. read more

Pretty solid food choice when you want to indulge! I ordered the carne asada quesadilla and a very tasty Ferraro Rocher shake and they are RICH. They are loaded with flavor and the ingredients in the quesadilla mesh together well. The shake was delicious. Thick and creamy and even had a candy on top as well as decorative gold powder. Such a classy touch. The portions are also fair for the price. My only turn off is the greasiness of the quesadilla whether that's from the cheese or the meat, it drips out and gets messy and makes an already rich meal over the top heavy. It could be a lot on your tummy alone so bringing someone to share with would be a good idea! read more

Koko was very helpful and friendly (so hard to find in a fast food environment these days) and cheerfully answered a couple of questions for me.
