Smoked Goat Cheese and Spinach Enchiladas! Spot on amazing flavor.

The Wife and I had never been to a Blue Mesa Location, and we are absolutely happy we did, as a Texas Native I am very particular about eating Authentic Mexican food! This place has not only brought that game to the table they have perfected the dishes they have! The menus is not so large you spend an hour going through it, and what they have on it they have made sure they do an amazing job of sending out a hot, fresh, and delicious meal. We started off with two appetizers, the Skewers of Beef, chicken and sausage with queso, a must have for sure. We also had the Coconut Chicken don't go uh until you try this. The Salsa comes with two styles Chunky and fire roasted both made in house daily and the flavors will surprise you just enough spice and on point! The service staff From the front door to the back all of them extremely friendly and go the distance to ensure your visit is great! We sat up at the bar and Both Bartenders were happy, and very helpful as well they make some amazing Drinks! To the Managers and Owners you have definitely brought back my trust in Authentic Mexican food being available in a restaurant again! Well done and thank you for such an amazing and wonderful experience, you have developed an excellent staff, menu and executed the plan perfectly, we now look forward to making to our New Date Night location, you convinced me that not all Authentic restaurants are the same You have something that stands out above and beyond!

Arrived on a Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and we were first, then the dining room filled up. The place is cheerful with light colored wood and open areas, two rooms and a patio. Nice menu with decent prices. I had a house margarita on the rocks. Wasn't tart. Was very good. We ordered the chile relleno-enchilada combo and the famous fajitas. Both meals were plentiful and delicious. Everyone was friendly. The server checked on us regularly and kept our water glasses full. The manager stopped by to see how everything was. Everything was very nice.

Margarita pitcher, great for sharing enough for all. Pretty blue color too

I've been wanting to come here for the longest time and we finally made it happen. They have a decent selection of traditional breakfast items, both American and Mexican, along with some popular Mexican dishes like taco, and enchiladas (among others). My favorites were the sweet corn cakes, taco's (the taco bar with the toppings was amazing), chilaquiles, chips and salsa bar, the garlic chicken wings, and the waffles. Lots of variety to choose from, including a make your own omelet station. Our server was friendly and cleared our used plates quickly. They do get busy so I do recommend a reservation. The way the tables are arranged can be a bit tight depending on where you are sitting. I can definitely see myself returning with my family.

Haven't made it in for a while- but glad we did finally get to today!! Zee took great care of us. We got seated immediately and they offer happy hour in the restaurant (not just the bar) Most places limit HH pricing to bar area - not only did they have great drink prices but food too!! We took advantage of 2.50 tacos before 6pm and also a sampler plate. It was more than enough- even got some yummy chips and salsa to go! Generous portions, great attentive staff and reasonable prices - add it to the love list Looks like the have a weekend brunch I'll have to come check out too

Came here during brunch cinco de mayo. Staff was as super friendly but completely inundated. The food was good, but come with an ample amount of patience. It was busy and loud.

The tempura was old and chewy as was most of the hot food items. Service was fine, nothing amazing and nothing terrible. When we went back for a second plate around 8:00, they were already breaking down the buffet and putting food away. That was a letdown. No hot food was being restocked, and teppanyaki and hot pot were no longer options. The sushi selection was mostly empty too. For clarification, they don't close until 9:00. The food we did get tasted okay, but nothing stood out or made me want to rush back. On the bright side, the restaurant and restrooms were clean, so at least that part was solid. Overall, it felt less like an all you can eat experience and more like "a you should have gotten there an hour earlier experience." Perhaps my least favorite part of the evening was the relentless ringing of bellhop bells behind both the hot food and sushi counters. They clanged nonstop to summon servers, turning the entire dining experience into an 80s montage where the "Better Off Dead" paperboy keeps circling your table on his bike, dead-eyed, ringing his bell, demanding his two dollars. This is a very generous three stars, given with kindness and lowered expectations.

Our waitress was very attentive from the beginning and offered enthusiastic recommendations. Our pork bone broth was delicious and we tried many kinds of meat and add ins, and they were great with sane portions. Didn't really feel like we missed out on anything by not buying the extra charge items and we both filled up quickly. There's little desserts at the sauce bar, and also a few things off the menu. We tried them all and found them neutral overall in flavor; nothing impressive, but still pleasant. The difficult thing about this place is the price. A few $ more than Seapot, but you also have to pay for broth, which can add up to $14 more PER broth, which is why bf and I only got one. So while I'd say this place was very good, Seapot is better value and would be my choice over this place. However, bf and I agreed that this place is definitely a better choice over Hai Di Lao.

The house spicy broth was very spicy and gave me a small bout of diarrhea a few hours later. I will stick to the pork broth next time. We ordered lamb, pork belly, beef belly, and beef tongue. We also ordered squid, octopus, and quail egg. They put a cart by our table to put all our meat and sides on, which was nice. The sauce was alright. They had soy sauce, vinegar, shacha (Chinese bbq) sauce, and sesame oil. My bf did not like the shacha sauce. When one person on the table ordered a (non water) drink, everyone on the table was expected to get one. I just got water though, because all their drinks were sugary.

The concept was a delight, all you can eat course dining where you can try everything and order more of what you like. When you sit down, they bring each of the four course out in full to your table and give you time to enjoy each plate. The first course was a simple course of a light cheese dumpling soup and warm fresh bread with a variety of spreads. We found this course an excellent introduction and the soup was exceptionally executed. The second course was a course of appetizers. This is the course we liked the best, the large number of small plates really made the meal feel lavish and each dish was high quality and made with care. I loved the grilled cheese and the spiced apple sauce served with the chicken was delicious. The third course was the entree course, consisting of a number of grilled steaks, poultry, and pasta dishes. The chicken was a bit salty for my tastes but the pasta and the steaks were competently prepared. Lastly, the fourth course was a delightful dessert consisting of flan, chocolate mousse, and a passion fruit mousse. The passion fruit mousse was especially good, but I think each of the desserts worked well to balance each other out. I would like to see dessert with some more variety of texture. The service was perfect, our waiters came around at just the right times and took care to tell us about the dishes on offer. I was equally impressed with the atmosphere. It's a bit of a Brazilian steakhouse style (stuff is brought around and you say if you want some of it) and them bringing you the most massive amount of plates that you can ask to refill infinitely. Our bread, soup, and appetizer courses were highlights. The bread was great with multiple spreads, the soup was cooked perfect, and most of the appetizers had a unique twist and quality taste. We enjoyed our steaks and pasta enough, but some were just not worthwhile in small ways--there was a flavorless four cheese pasta for example, and the garlic parm chicken was somewhat salty. The picanha was a bit tough on the outside but perfect inside. None of it was blowing my socks off, but definitely on the good side. Lastly, our dessert course was wonderful. All 3 were perfect, and we were told by I presume the manager to focus on the passion fruit one, which was stellar. If I returned, I'd be interested in trying a fun drink. They have several non alcoholic options that caught my eye. We were very well waited on, and never were left wanting or waiting. The manager himself came around several times and chatted with us a bit. I wish the water glasses were larger so I wasn't pouring constantly, but that's a small gripe. Overall, we enjoyed it here and are already thinking of friends and family to bring next time!
