This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant in Carmichael. I've only gotten take out so I can't speak to the service in the restaurant. But the food is really good. I've tried the orange chicken, beef with broccoli, honey walnut shrimp, cashew chicken, fried rice, noodles..... everything has been great. On top of the food being great, the prices are even better! To feed 4 people, with leftovers, it was less than $50! Amazing! read more

My husband wanted Chinese Food for Father's Day dinner and wanted to try this place, as it is next to the local convenient store we visit. Ordered House fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and orange chicken. All were pretty good and got bank for buck for the amount of food that was given to us! I have to say the quality of service & food has gone down. A few months ago I called to place an order & the guy who answered yelled "I don't have time to take orders-I'm too busy!' and hung up on me. He didn't even say hello or apologize. I decided I wouldn't be eating there anymore after that but for some reason I changed my mind after running errands yesterday & not wanting to cook dinner. I usually order pretty much the same things each time but the price had really increased since last time. I understand companies have to raise their prices here & there to stay in business but the portion sizes went way down also. So, you raise your prices & cut portion sizes? The salt & pepper spare ribs that I usually get tasted like they were cooked in the same oil as the their fish and the orange chicken was over cooked and hard. Really good food. I was skeptical before I ordered because it's Carmichael and a lot of the Chinese restaurants are not very good for my experience, and the reviews always say they're great when they're not. But this place is actually good. We always order the shrimp fried rice and sweet-and-sour chicken. I haven't tried much else except the garlic eggplant which I do like usually but I wasn't excited about it. read more

When I moved to the Sacramento area I searched for a good Chinese place and stumbled across this place. It has become my go to Chinese place for the past 6 years. Went there on Friday night around 7pm. Restaurant was completely empty. Service was fast (kitchen gangster male waiter was not friendly) and the hostess chatted up in her native language on her cell the whole time after seating us. Didn't really bother me except she was too preoccupied to check on us. Ordered sweet and sour chicken, shanghai style vegetable chow mein, and pork spare ribs. Everything was very decent, but a bit salty (should be expected for chinese food I guess). Vegetables were fresh and chicken wasn't overly breaded. Overall, if you're in the mood for chinese food, this place will hit the spot. read more

This is our new neighborhood--and we had to find a new neighborhood chinese place. The closest one to our new house boiled the chow main in soy sauce, I think, and didn't see any reason to put lemon in the lemon chicken. I yelped it, found this place, and everything has always been darn near perfect. The moo shu veggies are delicious; my partner loves the lemon chicken. WOn ton soup ok--but the honey walnut chicken was stupendous. Yes, it's americanized, but hey, I've had chicken feet and I like chicken breast better. I've never eaten here--always get food to go--but I like the casual feel of the restaurant, and the woman who runs the place seems very very caring. Very Disappointing. We just moved here from Arizona. Ordered food for Delivery. Asked for several dishes including one Orange Chicken and one General Tsao. Received 2 General Tsao dishes. When I called Restaurant, I was told dishes are similar. NO THEY ARE NOT. The orange chicken (to my knowledge) has orange peel in it and has a taste of orange. We blindfolded people and gave them BOTH meals to taste and their was NO DIFFERENCE. All they had to do was say sorry we messed up. Telling us the taste is the same is UNACCEPTABLE. We are so disappointed and WILL NOT ORDER from here again. We love Chinese food and they lost a customer for life. read more

This place is fantastic. It's a little hole-in-the-wall type of establishment, conveniently located past McDonald's and right next to a liquor store. Okay, so the location sucks. But the food is to die for. I was introduced to this restaurant by my boyfriend, and was I ever thankful for that. I took a whole party of people here for my birthday, and they all loved it. My dad stated he had found his new favorite Chinese restaurant in this area (previously our fav was Wonderful Chinese). The service is better than your average Chinese restaurant. Your water glasses will actually be refilled. Service can be a little slow, and sometimes they take their time in the kitchen. That's okay, it's worth the wait. Their sesame chicken is spectacular, mouthwatering, divine, and highly recommended. The preparation of the food is artistic--if you order the sesame chicken it comes garnished with a circle of elegantly sliced oranges and strawberries. Some other dishes that stand out are the egg flower soup (although a few too many mushrooms in it for me personally) and the broccoli beef. A friend had the sweet and sour pork, and proclaimed it delicious. Another favorite amongst my friends was the walnut prawns. Every time I've been to Blue Sky and someone's ordered them, they have fallen in love with them. Prices run a little higher here than you would expect from what appears to be a hole-in-the-wall. This is a great place to get fresh Chinese food. Always consistent. The orange chicken is crispy and the oil they use is fresh. No nasty smelling fried stuff. House special chow mein is awesome. My kids love it. Beef with broccoli is great too. Lunch special is a great deal. Under $5 bucks gets you rice, chow mein, and you pick your favorite main dish to add, plus a fresh egg roll to top. Can't beat this place for the price. Which is fair. read more

Tried this place after much coaxing from my bf... I've been searching for good Chinese food in Sacramento and I have to say this place is pretty decent. I still havn't quite found anything that is nearly as good as some of the Chinese restaurants in LA Chinatown or SF Chinatown... but I'm not giving up hope just yet! I wasn't too sure of this place when I first walked in because 1. it was hella small and 2. there was only one white family eating there and an old white couple that was just leaving as we pulled up. Not to sound racist or anything, but if you walk into a Chinese restaurant and there are no Asians eating there and hella white people there instead, run the other way because the food won't be real Chinese food! We ordered Hong Kong style chow mein (one of my favorite dishes), general chicken, crab cream cheese won tons, and sizzling rice soup and it was all very tasty! My only criticism is that the gravy on the chow mein wasn't quite right- it was a little too strong like they had put too much oyster sauce or soy sauce in it. The general chicken tasted almost like sweet and sour chicken and wasn't spicy like it was supposed to, but I really liked the flavor. What I also liked about this place is that the food came up pretty quickly and the prices were reasonable. Will definitely be back soon. read more

This review is for take-out only. We've always enjoyed the food here but decided to get takeout tonight. We were told it would be 40 minutes. When we got the order home 5 minutes away the order was luke warm at best, wontons soggy and the cashew chicken had no cashews. Next time weer will just stay and order and eat at the restaurant. read more

This place is complete garbage, the front desk lady is very rude!! She was practically yelling at me instead of using a normal tone voice. Also I ordered fried rice with orange chicken and they brought our steamed rice and sesame chicken,, the lady argued with me saying it was orange chicken but it did not tastes sweet what so ever.
