We LOVE this place! It's walking distance from our house which is a huge plus and it's the cutest little breakfast spot around. Everyone that works there is super sweet and helpful. Bondi Harvest is this extremely hipster breakfast place in Santa Monica. Wearing a polo and shorts, I felt totally out of place. There was a long queue on a Saturday morning to place the order. The food came pretty swiftly afterwards. They have some items on the menu which contain CBD. I got a Halloumi toast, which is a hipster variant of avocado toast topped with halloumi cheese, honey, and some herbs.There's lots of social seating spaces, with big tables set up outside on the street and the driveway beside. Bondi Harvest is in a really random part of Santa Monica where there are a lot of business offices, etc, yet somehow they've created this place making you feel like you're right by the beach (almost) We went on a weekend a few weeks ago when they started doing weekend breakfast service, so just like anything new it was a little chaotic & food took a while, but everyone working there was so sweet & always had a smile on their face. They serve coffee from Vittoria, which is an Australian company & they have milk alternatives. My cappuccino hit the spot. I also had the Rad Bowl which was a grain alternative breakfast bowl where they used chimichurrri cauliflower rice as the grain. The bowl seemed tiny initially but when I was done I was pretty full. I feel that the prices are fair for the type of healthy food that you are ordering. The ambiance here is great. I don't know how to explain it and I'm going to come off sounding hippie dippy but the energy here is amazing. There is minimal seating inside but lots of wooden benches, with mini succulent gardens on the benches & Italian like lighting-string bulbs. Everyone here brought their dogs & there was just an all around good vibe with this place, and the food was delicious. I'll be back! read more

A weekday breakfast treat. . . Wife and I had a rare weekday off, so we decided to check out this gem, tucked away in an odd corner of Santa Monica amidst corrugated metal buildings refashioned into hip offices for media companies. We started with flat whites, which were only so-so.The coffee was more than palatable, but our coffee standard for Aussie-themed places (APK, Paramount Coffee Project, etc.) is pretty high. The flat whites were a bit thin, just a little bit burnt-tasting. Definitely better than Starbucks, but not hipster coffee quality. The food made up for the mediocre coffee though, in spades. We had the Bondi breakfast, which was a really simple composition of eggs (your way), bacon (American style), grilled tomato, mushrooms, other assorted veggies, and sourdough bread. Nothing I can't make at home, but the quality of the ingredients was UNREAL. The tomatoes were otherworldly, the mushrooms were very earthy, and the eggs were scrambled soft like a pillow. The rad bowl was also excellent. Poached egg, turmeric-spiced quinoa, fermented veggies, grilled halloumi, and other awesome things thrown in. The firm halloumi and great composition of ingredients made you forget the lack of breakfast meat immediately. The rad bowl was filling but clean, the ultimate Cali combo. The setting was pretty excellent- I liked how the place was tucked away, with ample seating and great nautical/worn wood/hipster decor. Service was also great- not run by Aussies, but pleasant and unassuming nonetheless. If only the coffee was just a tad better, but that is a small quibble. Will definitely be back! read more

Lavender latte is a winner! Also the bondi breakfast is delicious.. I feel like a part of me kind of went to Australia lol. I have been wanting to try Aussie style breakfast since I always see that on Instagram and I feel like I've kind of tried it! The breakfast was sooooo good! The bacon was crisp.. it was on a bed of greens (mushrooms and kale maybe? ) there was a kick of spice which I loved but it balanced out with the toast and bacon and delicious avocado. Really nice hole in the wall Westside healthy hip spot. Coffee shop plus food. Bulletproof coffee on the menu. Stopped off for breakfast and chose the quinoa breakfast porridge. Surprisingly good - coconut creme infused quinoa, acai, gluten free granola and fresh berries. Different and delicious. Only downside is it tasted like the acai was the typical wholesale-sambazon stuff with added sugar. Chef didn't know, so even though tasted good I'd personally have to think twice before ordering that again. I asked Lupita for 1)one order of "eggs with toast" (with poached eggs) and an order of 2)"toast" with jam on the side. Clarified AGAIN it was 2 menu items, NOT one order of toast, but TWO. Pretty sure I clarified a 3rd time. As I said I was in a hurry -- the order came with only 1 item, "eggs WITH toast" + a side of jam. The person's job at the register is to listen and confirm the order with the customer. I did my best 2-3x to confirm. The guy coming out of the kitchen with my order had no sympathy, couldn't just make it right quickly, for me and my small child, with a PIECE of toast, said I needed to correct it with Lupita - sorry, had no time to make this right. The soyrizo that was in the bowl was super tasty and was definitely comparable to actual chorizo... maybe even better than actual chorizo!! They have outdoor dining on picnic benches, first come first serve on tables- but you order inside their beach shack and servers bring out your food to you. You come here for the vibe not the food. The food was mediocre at best. Nothing we ordered was worth coming back for. As a business, they are not efficient and many of the staff have poor attitude; instead of a "how can I help you?" attitude, it's more like a "what do you want?" attitude. The line was long and moved VERY slowly. There was only ONE person taking orders during Saturday peak brunch hour...talk about inefficient. After waiting FOREVER in line, we waited another 30 minutes for our food to be ready. If you order coffee, it is left to sit on a shelf inside, whilst you wait outside. They call your name, but many people, including myself didn't hear their name getting called. By the time you get your coffee, it's cooled down significantly and doesn't taste fresh...also your beautiful latte foam has all but disappeared...pretty lame when you pay $6 for a cup... We got the squash pancake and breakfast burrito. The pancake was very heavy and almost soggy...though the homemade granola on top was good and the strawberry was very fresh. The breakfast burrito was small and came with an overly spicy sauce. The menu stated there was chorizo in it, but at best there were a few bacon bit-looking things inside the burrito...It wasn't very flavorful. Overall, go to this place to enjoy the environment but be prepared to wait a long time for lackluster food and poor service. read more
