Had the ultimate banh MK with shrimp pork and chicken and definitely underwhelmed but still good. Not the Vietnamese BBQ pork I was looking for (the kind served in bunh hoi plates) but char siu pork with pickled carrots. I wasn't really a fan but the shrimp was big and juicy and food served hot and quickl. They also have a special dessert named the Jen Buns. I was obviously obscenely wowed and couldn't stop screaming about it to my friend. A lady laughed from across the restaurant and came up and asked if my friends and I wanted to know what Jen buns were and she asked me to stand up. I almost obliged until I caught the joke. Will definitely be back to try the food version! Also very impressed at how the menu has expanded to include so many more desserts and other food choices. SAVE yourself and your money. Do not go here !!! I went in yesterday with my friend and we were really excited to try this place. She got the taro and I got the Thai tea. Right when we took a sip we realized both of our drinks were completely flavorless and tasted very watered down. My friend threw her drink in the trash almost completely full. It was THAT bad. I tried to finish mine cause I didn't want to waste money. Long story short I ended up in the HOSPITAL with servere food poisoning. This place needs to be closed! The boba will satisfy a craving. Popcorn chicken and egg rolls can be a pass. However the young person working the register didn't know what they were doing. After entering the tip amount incorrectly - there's no decimal point as their default- I said to the person "no void" and he put the charge through. No one in the store was trained to reverse the charge. A lady did come promptly from another store to help - but I found it odd 1) folks can't understand "no" 2) no one is trained up to void a transaction. My coworkers and I decided to try this place out. We both got the taro milk tea. I have been to many places in they valley and this was the worst taro flavored drink I've ever had. It had no flavor, tasted like watery milk. The boba was not the right consistency either, felt super overcooked and sticky. My coworker got the shrimp spring rolls and those were a mistake. Recommend the frutea boba! The boba is nice and soft, well made. The frutea is very sweet but this can be adjusted, and I love the flavor! My husband ended up taking the avocado slushee I initially ordered since it didn't taste like avocado to us but something artificial like coconut or honeydew? He liked it but I prefer smoothie or tea boba. They were super nice when I didn't like the slushee boba and offered to make a new one for me. Great service! read more

Went to Boba Whaaat to get Pho and Boba since it is also a Pho place. We waited 30 minutes and then turns out they forgot our order. The boba was good, nothing special though, but the food was not good at all. We got the Pho and Eggroll combo for $15, which their Pho is not huge actually quite small for charging traditional prices. The broth was vinegary, not rich at all. And the sweet and sour sauce, was only sour. Wouldn't recommend, but chill for boba. read more

1 star for the lack of knowledge and information the girl at the front had, the scam that is there POS (point of sale) machine which indicates a higher dollar amount than the percentage it's requesting you tip, the health code violation, consistency of the boba and the lack of concern the manager/owner had when this was brought to his attention. There were shrimp spring rolls sitting out on display directly in the counter (no temp control), that can end up making someone really I'll. A guy came out eating a glazed donut in which he sat in the counter of syrup to finish after making my milk tea, but not before washing his hands. No hand washing after licking the sticky sugar from his fingers before scooping the powder into the mixing cup for my drink. He even overfilled it and leveled it off with his bare hand. The POS asks if you want to ripe 15%, 25% or 35% however the dollar amount indicated was much higher than the percentage. There was hair in the displayed toppings. I told the manager about the food being consumed while making the drink, as he was sitting at a table in the dining area what happened and he brushed it off and said "oh but he'll wash his hands"...umm but he didn't and I can care less what they do after making my food but during, I'm gonna say something. The tables are often dirty because the establishment seems to not want to hire anyone else to help make drinks or clean the tables.. we come here often & it's the same. Cool boba spot that finally opened in Camelback East Village! I believe this is one of the only proper boba spot in this area. I tried the Okinawa milk tea, and I did like it! The boba was also soft and seemed freshly cooked. I forgot to adjust the sweetness, however, which ended up making the drink too sweet for my tongue. I would definitely reorder and adjust the sweetness to 50%. The workers there were incredible and friendly; and they actually ended up gifting me and my friend a Taro Milk Tea because they accidentally made it when they did not need to. Who's gonna refuse a free boba right?? The taro milk tea is also quite decent. Overall it's a pretty good place and I would recommend trying this place out, and I would not mind coming back (if you've been following my reviews you probably know that a certain other boba place have stolen my heart), especially since it's pretty conveniently located. read more

I honestly forgot I went to this place until I was just notified by yelp about it, that's how little I care about this place. I waited over 20 minutes for a boba tea that took only 1 minute 30 seconds to make. I don't know what it was. The was just ok as well. I ordered two drinks as well, but due to miscommunication (or the owner half ass listening to me) I only revived one very basic yet expensive drink, i explained this to her and thankfully another was made but at this point the damage was done. Tried this place out because it's only 3 miles away from my job which is great. I think I walked in while the staff were having a meeting or maybe some technical issues so it took a moment for someone to acknowledge me. I ended up getting the Assam (Black Tea) Milk Tea with herbal jelly and no other adjustments and it was good BUT it tasted like I asked them for light ice with 50% sweetness. While I'm not mad at it because I personally like my milk tea like this too, if you're expecting your general idea of boba (real boba drinkers know what I'm talking about), this place might not be for you. Not sure if that's how they always serve their milk tea or if they rely on the boba to add sweetness (I got herbal jelly) but will def try again. read more
