This review is so late but I've serviced my car here ever since my Toyota Care plan ended. You really do pay for peace of mind and what is always my favorite part: free pickups and drop offs while they work on your car. Love it! Last time I was there, I went to get my car serviced for an oil change but ended up getting a new battery as well. They told me they didn't know how I was driving it but apparently there was major battery spillage. I drove off after and stopped shortly after at the store down the street. I couldn't restart my car and indeed my battery died. I called them back but they just closed. I wish I remembered his name but he literally drove with his wife to me and installed a new battery himself. He just charged my card and came over. It was truly amazing service. I recently got a new car but when my Toyota Care plan ends, I'll be back here again! You all rock! read more

Chapman Auto May is well be the only place to bring your car in to, it's so far ahead of the competition. The people are extremely friendly, my car always comes back great, and (most importantly, in my opinion) the customer service is EXCEEDINGLY great. I brought my car in the other day, the check engine light had turned on. After it was examined, it was determined the problem was a gas cap that did not seal. Once I realized this was a gas cap I had received from a prior repair, I notified Alan, one of the many FANTASTIC team members at Chapman Auto. Alan ended up waiving the cost of the new gas cap and labor and thanked me for my loyalty as a customer. They pulled my car around, and I got in to find it had been washed-- inside and out. Was referred by a family member to come here for my oil change because they come here for all of theirs. So glad we did! Me and my wife each brought our cars. Bob the GM helped us out and explained the process. Super polite and professional. They do an inspection, tire rotation and even give u a car wash every time u get ur oil changed, and at a good price. They offer referral discounts too! If u refer someone, u get 10% of whatever they spend put into your file with them to use towards services. So, the bigger the repair/service, the bigger the dollar amount put into your file. You can get like $300 for a transmission. Our vehicles were done faster than quoted which was great! John the owner came out to sit and chat with us while we waited. Chances are that you don't have a whole lot of time to view options when you need a mechanic most. You're stranded, car won't start, and you need to get that thing up and running ASAP. Such was the situation with me and Chapman Auto Repair. However, for as unlucky as I was for my car to die just as I pulled up to a smog test (embarrassing it was), I was lucky enough to be towed to this shop. What really makes a difference here is just how kind these guys are. They truly go out of their way to smile and treat you well no matter the situation. A little bit of kind service can go a long way and these guys understand that at their core. However, like almost every other repair shop, they'll try to upsell you on parts and repairs more than what is needed. Politely tell them that you need just the basics , or get a comparable quote from another mechanic, and they will get their price to where you need it to be. As far as service, I cannot speak as to the longevity and quality of the repairs as it has not yet been a week since I drove out of their lot with my repaired car, but from initial impressions, things are running well! They also supply lifetime warranties on the services they provide which provides a definite peace of mind. In summary, these are nice guys that are great to do business with. The dreaded "check engine soon" light came on in my 2002 Jag XJ8. Also the the engine was smoking from a apparent oil leak from the valve cover. The oil was leaking on the exhaust manifold and smoking like crazy. Chapman Auto Repair is my favorite auto repair oasis. I dropped off the car with Kristy and Steve. They diagnosed the problems and recommended a course of action. One of the repairs was covered under their warranty. WOW! I was really stoked about that. The other repair was on the plumbing between the extra coolant tank and the engine. Luckily they found this leak! My engine could have had major problems had all the coolant leaked out. These guys have been really great. I had to get a lot of work done to pass smog check on my car and they walked me through the whole process. Alan and Joe even showed me how to order some of the parts myself so that I could save a lot of money. These people think that it is completely okay to take advantage of customer's lack of knowledge about cars and do so willingly. BE CAREFUL! They put on a friendly facade to make you feel like they're on your side and have you agree with their prices. I have never had better experience at an auto repair shop. All The staff members especially Frank and the manager John are incredibly nice and friendly and more importantly they are totally honest. The best customer service ever. John took me to one of his master mechanics, and he told me that what the Toyota dealer told me was a lie and I didn't need to waste my money on something thats not necessary so there I saved a lot of money. They treated me like king. I will definitely come back here for future service. I wish I knew them earlier that way I would have saved a lot of money compared to other places. Boy oh boy! From my experience, EVERYTHING was done perfectly, washed my car, they checked my oil and saw that it was still good for a few thousand miles and informed me instead of trying to take money and replacing oil anyways because I asked for it. I have a prius that was smelling like mold every time the air came on - that was fixed! The staff here is breathtakingly friendly. I definitely recommend service here. Very nice, very professional! Where do I begin. Customer service is phenomenal. I'm usually sketchy about shop working on my car due to a bad expirience but these guys help me and make me feel like I've known them. Took my ford escape to the ford dealership and they acted like they didn't know what the issue was with my power steering. Brought it here and right away they told me what's wrong and fixed it. Joe helped me this Saturday with a "B1234 maintenance," which means more than an oil change. I had an emergency brake job that I needed done on a Saturday morning and I called Chapman auto at 9 AM Saturday and they were actually able to get me in and get the job done as well as an oil change by 3 pm. I was extremely impressed by their customer service. They were friendly, timely and accommodating to my needs. My service included a car wash which either they didn't have time to do or where in fact just trying to help me get my car back on the road quickly per my request and gave me a free car wash coupon for down the street which I thought was quite nice. He helped me out right away, was very personable, and knew how to deliver customer service. Kudos Joe, I'll be back just because of you. I wish I found this place years ago! I'm forever coming back now. I desperately needed an oil change and was using yelp to contact every shop in a 15 mile radius. Everyone wanted $60+ for a basic synthetic oil change, which is just ridiculous. I contacted Chapman Auto since it's close to Disney which is where I work. They told me $40 which includes oil, filter, inspection, tire pressure, brake check, top off of fluids AND a car wash voucher. What a steal!!! Everyone there is super professional and give thee most AMAZING guest service! They were pretty busy but delivered it all and I was shocked on how fast it was.
