Bob's is always a great spot for a great steak! It has a traditional classy vibe. They don't seem to enforce a dress code, which I kind of wish they did; but I know some prefer being more casual. So if that's your thing, you'll definitely like that. Though plenty of people dress up for a great steak dinner. You have options. The service has been amazing every time we've visited. And the steak is delicious!!! Cooked a perfect medium-rare!

This was my second visit to Bob's Chophouse, and once again the atmosphere did not disappoint. The dining room has a nostalgic, lively energy that makes it a great spot for a celebratory evening, though it's worth noting that it can get a bit loud--so not the best choice if you're looking for a quiet, intimate dinner. Our party of five had a 7:00 reservation, and overall the experience was enjoyable. The water service was exceptional--our glasses were never left empty, and that attention to detail deserves recognition. The steaks were cooked beautifully and full of flavor, though a bit on the gristly side. One guest ordered scallops, which unfortunately arrived a little cold. Where the evening fell short was in the pace of service. Both drink and food service were noticeably slow, which became more frustrating as the night went on. We had planned to enjoy dessert for a birthday celebration, but ultimately decided not to order it because of the delays. That said, Bob's remains a Dallas classic. The food is flavorful, the atmosphere is vibrant, and it's a place I would still recommend--especially for those experiencing it for the first time. Just be prepared that while the quality is there, the timing of service can make or break the experience.

Great steak, great drinks ...no BS. Servers and bartenders are vet friendly. Would highly recommend!

Restaurant within the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas. The fresh baked bread with the slab of butter was so good my coworker and I devoured over half of it before realizing that the main course hadn't even been served yet. The sea bass recommended by our server Del was delish. Grilled to perfection with gnocchi and that special sauce. I pretty much devoured the whole thing. Our server, Del, was en pointe. He kept coming back to make sure we had everything we needed and made sure our bill was split correctly. Special shoutout to him for providing world class service!

Five stars all the way! We had a fantastic dinner at the steakhouse. The food was excellent--our steak was perfectly cooked, the Brussels sprouts were packed with flavor, and even the salads stood out (which doesn't always happen at a steakhouse!). And Jedidiah our server, truly elevated the entire experience. He was attentive without being overbearing, checked on us consistently, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Thanks for a great night--we'll definitely be back!

It's been a while since I had customer service like this. Captain was very sweet and professional. Served assistances were perfect. It felt like a nice smooth flow, not overbearing, they were very attentive at the same time. 30% tip and truly deserved it

Back in NYC and the east coast, we have a furniture store chain called " Bob's discount furniture." I thought to myself, is this the same Bob from NYC venturing out? :) LOL. No such connection. The menu featured a diverse selection of high-quality cuts of meat, including wagyu beef. I ordered the prime rib medium rare, and my buddy had the filet mignon. The steaks were expertly cooked to the perfect doneness. To be honest, my prime rib was a bit chewy on some parts, but the overall taste was very good. The sides that accompanied the steaks were spot on. The carrot, baked, and smashed garlic potatoes were delish. The side salads were perfect too. The service was attentive, and the staff exhibited a good knowledge of the menu and gave us recommendations on the perfect spirits. Although the prices were relatively high, I would definitely return here due to the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. In a nutshell, Bob's is a worthwhile choice for those seeking a top-notch steak dining experience.

We walked over from the Hyatt.. it's in the conference center/hotel. 5 minute walk. Lovely atmosphere, staff was full and attentive. Our server knew the menu, albeit her recommendations weren't what we expected. We had the Orin red blend, it was tart, I had the Bordeaux red from France, much better. The one scallop was amazing. I did Oscar style, slim on the hollandaise sauce. But delicious. The steak was delicious. Would I go back, no.. I've been around the country and have experienced amazing steaks like. They have local and Wagyu steak- try it out if you like a steakhouse. Thank you for your service! Good day!

The steak was well-seasoned, but kinda tough... the bacon appetizer was delicious. My husband wasn't fond of the steak being served on the same plate as the sides. I liked that my baked potato was dressed at the table. Dalton provided excellent service. Overall, a solid experience! It is a distant 2 on my list of steakhouses in Dallas, Pappa's still number 1.

Chophouse salad, my lettuce is brown and does not even match the menu zero ingredients and over on others. Really nasty.
    Jay F.

Super expensive and embarrassing low quality. So disappointed with my App meal. Chophouse salad was tasteless and wilted and old ingredients. Calamari was cold and soggy. Sauce tasted like it came from a jar. Use to be good but cutting corners it seems now.

I see that there are 2 locations in Dallas. Is this one INSIDE the Omni hotel or in the area? We are trying to decide which one is more accessible when it comes to parking and etc.

It's inside, but it has its own entrance and valet parking is free.

We're from out of town, is this a dressy place or can we wear jeans?

People wear jeans and t-shirts as well as business casual and even an occasional coat and tie

The food was decent. I enjoyed my lamb chops(although more rare in spots), but not the mix that was underneath it. The two that got the salmon said it was ok, a bit overcooked and they also didn't care for the mix underneath. The filet was stupendous and the cowboy was really delicious. They really liked the mac&blue cheese- if you don't like blue cheese, I would steer clear! Portions were good. I guess stick to the steaks! The vanilla/sprinkles circular layered birthday cake with a huge sparkler candle was awesome! It WAS included-complimentary, and it was a large portion!!

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Not the first time I've overplayed for a drink but I do feel a little funny about the way their menu sold me then undelivered. $19 Hummus - The food was an issue for me though. When I order Hummus, I expect to receive hummus. Like the dish should be 70-80% hummus with some light toppings and some good pita bread. What I received was a pretty plate but very little actual hummus and a disaster of pita. First, they made a pretty plate circle of a small band of hummus then filled it with extra stuff to make it APPPEAR as if the center was filled with hummus yet there was zero hummus except for that small outer band. I estimate 49% hummus and the rest tzatziki and garnishment. Don't get me wrong, very aesthetically pleasing and tasty "extras" but the menu item isn't titled "EXTRAS with a little hummus". It's titled "Hunmus". And the pita... oh boy, what a mess. Proper pita is lightly grilled - served warm with a nice sponginess yet bite friendly approach. This pita was way over saturated in their butter/oil, and crisped up to the point there were burn marks and char on every piece. Horrible pairing with hummus and JOEY should know it. I feel these other reviews may be fake honestly as the prices are insane and the execution quite poor. Be careful. $45 for a $15 meal isn't worth it.
