Their Tom Yum and spicy broth are my absolute favorite out of the five that we had to choose. I love the quality of their meat. They also have a sauce stand but there's not that much sauce selections. We came at 5:30 on a Wednesday(?) which is the time that they reopen for dinner. You get a two hour limit to eat. The cons: *The restaurant gets stuffy and windows fog up because there aren't any vents. It's a pain for customers during the winter because the server would have to open up the doors which is understandable. *I felt rushed an hour into our meal because they were starting to get slammed for dinner. *It was my boyfriend's and my first time here and our waitress seemed a bit irritated because we didn't know what we were doing. We thought that it was a usual hot pot restaurant where each individual chose one broth for themselves. Despite the cons, I would come back but only for lunch to avoid the rush. read more

It's Chinese style hotpot. There's a sauce bar and the pots have 4 sections for soup. Get the pork bone soup! The AYCE hotpot had a variation of meats, veggies, tofu, mushrooms, balls, and noodles. This is probably one of my favorite all you can eat hot pot in the bay area. The first thing that really stood out was that you can pick 4 different soups. You can also make your own sauces, which is a plus for me at any hot pot. Even though my friend and I sat in the back, the servers were attentive and friendly. They always refilled drinks and checked if we were ready for another round. The food was pretty fresh. They really listen to how much you want for each dish, the only down size was that all you can eat is about $30-35 including tip and tax. Great place with great food! Large selections of meats seafood and vegetables as well as a few noodles and rices. Pretty standard in most hot pot joints though right? I still remember when the place first opened as hot pot island and they didn't offer the ayce option but instead sold by plates. After a few management changes I believe they came to be where they are now. The meats that come out are usually never frozen sitting on the table but already completely thawed. If I were to compare that to let's say hot pot garden that has now been moved to millbrae... well let's just say their food comes out hard as rocks till it hits the water. Seafoods are usually frozen and their vegetables are relatively fresh. I also personally like their choice of udon and vermicelli. Their rice isn't that great though. As for drinks I don't actually drink anything other than soda water and their watermelon juice. Their servers are great as well but sometimes slow because there's only about 2 or 3 servers for a full house and they'd bring people from the kitchen to help sometimes. The only downside is the ventilation of the place. They don't have vents(or efficient ones) so the place would always be really hot and stuffy but if they were to leave the door open it would get really cold. American Kobe, Lamb and pork belly meats were all on point and portioned the the perfect bite size. Many vegetables, noodles and meatball options. Japanese sake available, Sapporo draft are all plus'. They also have IPA and some American beers that I don't agree goes well with hot pot. All they need is two Japanese beers on draft and they're set. They are considering all you can eat on Tuesdays and Wednesday in the near future. My boyfriend and I have gone here a number of times and every time, we come out full & satisfied. Their meat choices are plenty and always fresh. Got here right when it opened so there was no wait at all and got seated quickly. Love the convenience of ordering on the Ipad, so you don't have to keep asking the server to order. Also, I liked how they have a variety of sauces for you to choose from. However, this place really does limit you to 1.5 hours of ordering time and will let you know when you're about to max out on your time, even when there are open tables around you. Usually the hot pot restaurants I go to never actually enforce, especially when other tables available. The selection of food is also pretty basic and standard, wished they had more things to choose from. I enjoyed the tomato base (in the middle) and the savory one! I got the shrimp paste and chicken slices, which all cooked fast and absorbed tons of flavor from the soups. They also gave us a few typical dipping sauces in these plastic bin/Tupperware-style containers that were a bit of a struggle to scoop from especially when you're voraciously trying to shovel food into your mouth. All you can eat hotpot and all you can drink beer is incredibly hard to dislike. And this place delivered pretty solidly. I came with 8 other people. We ordered a ton of food (beef, veggies, mushroom, pork, pork belly, fish balls, fish paste, shrimp, tofu, etc...) and the staff was pretty quick at bringing it out and the portions were generous. The quality of the food was decent. It looked and tasted fresh. You are allowed to choose three soup bases per pot, which was good because it gave variety. There is a sauce station where you can set up your own dipping sauce and there's a number of things to choose from for making your sauce. The soup base isn't quite as flavorful as Little Sheep and they are missing some of the items I like (there's a certain fish cake they didn't have and they didn't have the roe filled fish balls), but I would come back. The seating was also spacious so you don't fill cramped although we did have to go all the way to outer richmond for this. read more

Lamb, pork belly, beef, tripe, fish balls, winter melon, corn, spinach, Napa cabbage, enoki, egg noodles. The lamb was definitely the star - really well marbled and absolutely delicious. Had a great time celebrating my friend's birthday here! I wasn't familiar with this kind of hot pot set up but REALLY enjoyed it. We chose the miso soup, kimchi, Curry, and beef broths and pretty much tried all of the meats to cook in there. Everything was super tasty!! I think that the $30 all you can eat per person is very worth it as the staff was very attentive and brought all of the meats, veggies, and noodles out that we ordered very quickly. The only part I think needed improvement was the iPad ordering system which seemed very glitchy and ended up not working in the end but the staff was very quick to bring out paper menus that we could order from. Hot pot is always my favorite Chinese food! The sauce they provide is flexible and you can make your own, unlike some hot pot restaurants charge you for ordering sauce! Fresh meet, specially like their Beef in Beer (not sure what's the name exactly), which makes the beef remain fresh(not too over cook) after some time in the pot. They have four types of soup for you! You can try all of them at a time! All dishes here are in small amount, then you can try as much as you like and reorder. Service here is good too. read more

We were having a good time until the waitress notified us at 70 min that's last call for food. And then every 10 min we were reminded that we needed to leave due to upcoming reservation. I've been to the Fremont location, but this was my first time in the SF location. We had to wait about an hour for a group of 6, which is about as expected for a group on a Friday night. Once we sat down, service was really fast and good. I like how you can order 4 different soup bases for variety and how they have a make-your-own sauce station. Ordering through the tablet was nice because you didn't have to wait for a waiter to come around and you could order a bunch of things. Food selection was pretty good, and once you ordered it came out very quickly which was nice. My only complaint is that there were a bunch of groups yelling and doing sake bombs bc of the AYCD option, but if that's what you're into, you'd love this place. read more

This is my new favorite hot pot spot in San Francisco. Its AYCE and a great value. I like that you can order on the iPad at the table, some items got missed but I just reordered. Only down side, you have to wait 5 minutes between orders and it can get very warm in the room from all of the steam. I really like how you get 5 different types of broth, and the bowl is placed into the table. It's much easier to reach your food, and it turns like a lazy Susan so you don't have to reach over everyone. Highly recommend you try it. read more
