This was an all you can eat but the amount of meat you get each platter is big. The price was perfect for lunch it's 28.99 a person honestly for that price I'd pay more for actual food than fast food. Read a lot of complaints the meats are marinated are clearly wrong. While they didn't have kalbi we got they're variation of it and it was very well seasoned it wasn't super saucey like bulgogi it soaked into the meat and we got the pork belly also in garlic. Our waitress was also very attentive and the place is well circulated for Korean bbq. Only issue I had was the soju was quite expensive a bottle of it was 14.99 but other than that I would definitely come for dinner they're selection looks bigger since we did lunch read more

Ive heard about beque for years but never went because of all the bad reviews. I finally came in for dinner because i wanted to try it myself with my partner. We got sat and it was pretty quiet, two other tables on a weekend night around 7pm. I was hungry and I didnt want to wait for the other places so we ate here. The portion for meat was huge which wasnt great because i wanted to try more things. I just got porkbelly which was interesting, not the typically big korean piece, very thin, beef belly, which was a lot, and ribs. Which was on the bone big peice that was cold. Tried to cook/reheat it back but wasnt easy to do with its shape/ice cold. I hope this place improves with better meat quality, and hygiene. Contrary to what most reviews were saying, the service was pretty good. The servers changed our grill about 2-3x without us having to ask and they checked on us a couple of times. The price for dinner was about 30$ per person and I thought that was a bit pricey for the small selection of AYCE. I was kinda bummed that the soup and steamed egg were only add-ons so they were an extra charge. The pork belly was very fatty and had little meat. The brisket was cut in very big slices, which I liked, and the bulgogi was chopped into smaller pieces and marinated well. Food? Flavorless, Quality? Questionable. I've been a few times over the years and each time reminds me why I only go when someone else convinces me. Way overpriced for what it is. I've eaten at many different AYCE KBBQ restaurants and this one is by far the worst. This land round will be my last, I was up all night with a stomach ache and I only ate one round of meat with a variety three meats. I'm a seasoned KBBQer and have never gotten sick before at other joints and that's with eating three rounds with more orders of meat, it's definitely due to food quality and not cooking quality. For it being AYCE too, no one checked in to see if we wanted to place another order so service could definitely be better. Came here with my husband on a recent Monday evening. We were seated right away. There were several tables with customers but it wasn't at all crowded. There are a lot of screens situated around the restaurant playing k-pop videos for a fun, upbeat atmosphere. My husband and I both decided to get the "all you can eat" dinner, which I believe is $33.99 each. Our server took our order and then brought out several small dishes such as glass noodles, macaroni salad, kimchi, pickled cucumbers, etc., all of which were very tasty. With rhetorical all you can eat dinner, you can order from a list of various meats, poultry, etc. which you cook at the grill in the center of your table. We had bulgogi, shrimp, and squid. I especially liked the bulgogi. The shrimp was tasty but a little inconvenient since the shell is still on - can be a little messy when you peel off the shell. The squid was not my personal preference, due to the chewy texture, but I think that's just the way squid is and the flavor was good. The service overall was good and our server came to check on us several times and exchanged the grill cover a few times as well to prevent any leftover bits from causing things to get smoky. I was disappointed with the meat quality of the brisket... it is normally my favorite but it way too tough and too chewy. I could not eat it. I always pass by this place and decided today to come in ans try it out. And I can honestly Say it's not too bad. They have an all you can eat lunch for $25.99 and all you can eat dinner $30.99. We. Choose the all you can eat lunch. We only had two rounds. For the first round we choose the cheese fondue dip, corn cheese dip, brisket, garlic pork belly and marinated bulgogi. The brisket was really frozen so when we threw it on the grill it cooked super fast and ended up being tough before we could finish the meat. The marinated bulgogi was our favorite. It was flavorful and tender. It was nicely seasoned. For the sauces we got the bean paste, spicy sauce, garlic and jalapeño. When cooking on the grill we recommend adding the jalapeño and garlics to give the meat a bit of more flavor. The garlic pork belly was delicious and not to fatty. Overall. My bf and I were exploring Japan town when we saw there was a kbbq spot on the bottom floor! We decided to dine in for their AYCE. Quality of the meats was a mixed bag. Some of the meats were pretty good but the majority was subpar. It took a while to chew some of the meats. We decided to stick with their "starred meats" for the rest of our dinner just so we wouldn't get full with the lower quality stuff. Stick to the starred items and you should be fine. You're in the heart of Japantown and have easy access to so many other things in the city outside of Japantown - walk from Fillmore District, car ride from Union Square. And if you decide you are not craving KBBQ, you are in a shopping area that has so many other places to grab a bite at. But I regress, back to Bequeath BBQ grill. It's true, the place is enjoyed by many, unfortunately, I feel that I could get more bang for my buck elsewhere. They have a really wonderful and attentive staff, our grill was never "burned" or charred as the team would switch out and replace the grills before doing so. I think for me, it might have been the quality of the flame. My go to meat, the brisket was extremely dry. I even tried different methods like marinating my brisket in the sauces they provided before grilling it and after and it was not the same. Lastly, when we paid for our food, they did not provide us with the little yogurt drink that they usually provide. I saw a ton of them at the counters and we did not get any. We ended up coming around lunch time, which the restaurant only had a few patrons. It was mostly empty, but it might have been because of the rain. We thought that was a pretty good deal considering some other KBBQ places aren't open at this time. We were informed that we could have up to 4 meats, and endless sides. They did also bring out bonchon for us to enjoy. WHAT I ORDERED: We started off with the following: -Brisket (x2) -Bulgogi -Beef Belly -2 white rice -Korean hot sauce -Pineapple chili -Cheese corn dip REVIEW: -MEAT- Honestly.. the meat portions are so large, it was so difficult to eat towards the end. All the meats we tried didn't have much fat on them, so they were a bit tougher. They were pretty filling to say the least since they were a bit thicker on some cuts. I did prefer the brisket over everything. The bulgogi was thicker and not as sweet, which could be to someone's liking. We did get a ton of this, so we weren't able to finish it. I usually love ordering beef belly, but there wasn't much fat on this where it would help tenderize the cut. I mostly got tough meat which was overall ok, but not what I was expecting. -SAUCE- I would highly recommend the pineapple chili if you want a slight kick with your meal. Although I do appreciate the sesame oil and other sauce they provided, it didn't have a kick that I wanted or the salt factor. The pineapple chili gave you sweet, spicy, and some saltiness to pair with the meat. The Korean hot sauce was MEH to me, but maybe I needed to mix it with something else. -SIDES/BON CHON- The cheese corn dip was ok, it was a bit lack luster to me. I thought it would be a bit sweeter, but the corn was meh and it was just cheddar cheese mix dumped in. I didn't get to finish this as much. -SERVICE- The service was ok, but they only checked up on us towards the end of our meal and not much during. Our grill was getting burnt by all the cooking, but they only decided to change the grill when we were both full out of our minds. The grills are also set so low, where it took a while to cook our meats. We did turn it up slightly higher, but it didn't really do much. -OVERALL- Overall, decent service and ok food. I'm not really rushing to come back and I was a bit disappointed. There aren't any appetizers or soups to pair with your meal. The menu is also limited as well, which is a downside. First order and service was attentive but after it was very slow and we had to raise our hands multiple times in order to get service even though there was not many people in the restaurant. During the initial order we order rice but never revived it and asked about it at 20 mins into our service, they mistaking us for ordering more and both orders of rice, yes, just 3 bowls of rice, still took about 30 mins to arrive.
