All you can eat! This was great. Service was wonderful- one employee running around and she crushed it. Meat was so flavorful and had so many options. This was clean and delicious! Great time with friends and staff was very kind!

Flavorful broths and really convenient that everyone could have their own soup bowl at a booth for 4 people. Spicy broth was great and all the meats, veggies, sides were tasty. The 5 plate combination was sufficient and there was still some leftovers. The QR ordering system was confusing that we couldn't split up or label by person who was getting certain items. Server recommended to stagger one person submits items at a time but then that caused delays for some people start eating well before others. Hope this can be improved! Come during your birthday month they have a wheel of prizes you can spin. Very fun

Never been to an AYCE Korean BBQ and Hot Pot combo before.... WOW this is an elite pairing. I've been telling all my friends about it. And for $38?! Such a good deal. Reservations can be made on Yelp. We went with a large group and luckily the wait wasn't too bad. They also have an upstairs with tables that can accommodate bigger parties, which is a plus. Your server takes drink and hot pot broth orders, but everything else is super easy to order through the QR code on the table. I was honestly impressed with the meat quality and the overall variety. Loved being able to either grill or hot pot the meats. Tons of veggie and side options, plus appetizers. I went with the rich pork broth and it was heavenly. You get to choose your spice level (1-5). Also loved the make-your-own sauce bar with a great variety of ingredients. We suuuuure got our money's worth. Will definitely be back to feast!

I really wanted to like this place because it came highly recommended by a foodie friend. Maybe i was there on an off day, but I felt like it overall it was just average. The meat was one of the better parts of the meal. The slices were thicker and looked like they were cut by hand rather than the paper thin style you usually see at other places. It may have been intentional, but it also made me wonder if the machine slicer was not working that day. The vegetables were reasonably fresh and they carried most of the basics we usually order. That said, quite a few items leaned frozen rather than fresh. The shrimp paste for example, i expected the typical fresh paste you scoop and shape into your own meatballs, but it arrived as a frozen, preformed block. The main letdown was the sauce bar. It looked neglected. The cilantro had begun to darken and wilt, and the jalapeños as well. The overall selection was surprisingly limited. Other than soy sauce and a Chinese barbecue sauce that did not look particularly fresh, there was very little to work with. There were no chilies, no hot oil, no leeks, and none of the classic aromatics that make a sauce bar fun and customizable. Even the sesame sauce tasted flat and unseasoned. Service was genuinely solid. Our waiter was friendly, patient, and walked us through how to order since it was our first visit. The QR code ordering system was straightforward and the kitchen sent items out quickly. At about $38 per person for AYCE, the price felt fair, especially since you can do both hot pot and grilling at the same table. The only drawback is the soup setup. Everyone gets their own individual pot rather than sharing a larger pot with two different broths. It is not a huge issue and is actually more hygienic if that matters to you, but it does make it harder to try multiple soup bases as a group. All in all I am looking for a new go-to hot pot place in the city as all the places I loved in the past seem to have changed owners or no longer exist. And unfortunately the search continues.

Had a reservation for a large party of 14 and we were seated at the top floor. It wasn't busy on a Monday night so we had many workers attending to us. Service was great the entire night. Food came out quickly, and they were always available to give us refills, change grills, or anything we needed. You order what you want via QR code on your phone. There's a wheel you can spin at the front of the restaurant for your birthday, and my grandma got free A5 Wagyu! We did both the grill and hot pot. I had the medium pork broth which had a good amount of spice and flavor. They had a good selection of meats and veggies, and also appetizer selections (albeit some items were "sold out"). The hot pot meats were pretty good quality. The marinated meats for the grill had good flavor although they leaned on the salty side. Some items weren't our favorite such as the tendon which was quite gamey, but generally everything was quite fresh. Favorites included the taro chips and the you tieu (Chinese donut). There's also soda you can get which was a nice bubbly Coke. For dessert, they had orange, fruit cocktail, ice cream, grass jelly, and crème brulee. We left full and satisfied!

Maybe closer to 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. Came here for AYCE hot pot at lunch and appreciated the fast, friendly service. I love that everyone gets their own individual pot, so you can choose your own broth and customize exactly what you want. Ordering is easy through the QR code system using your phone. We tried the wagyu house cut, center cut, and tender cut and all were good quality overall. The first round was better than the second, which may have just been a different part of the beef. We also had the lamb and pork, which were fine, though we preferred the beef. I was a little disappointed that they were out of the wagyu meatball and prawn paste, since those are more unique items, and without them the AYCE felt less worthwhile due to less variety. Did enjoy the make your own sauce bar though! Overall I think it's a decent spot to try and they do have a lot of space if you want to host a big group.

Good customer service, broth is good, meat are fresh, it's just not a lot of variety but overall I would recommend this spot in Irving if you crave for Hot pot Everything is fresh that's a good thing for a hot pot and they have a variety of condiments Price are very reasonable also

Fiery Hot Pot is an AYCE hot pot and/or BBQ spot with great prices, ingredients, and service. For $34/person, we got AYCE hot pot in individual pots (!!!), and there's currently a $6 soju cocktail deal that's unbeatable in the city. The ingredients were so fresh and delicious, from the fries (...lol) to the marbled beef. Our party of nine came in starving and left beyond stuffed. Also -- one of our party has dietary restrictions, and the staff brought out a detailed menu outlining which foods were okay to eat. There wasn't one thing I disliked on the menu. The wagyu meatballs were a highlight that I hadn't seen at other restaurants, and the cocktails were so impressive. We came in an hour before closing and the staff generously let us stay an hour after closing, even offering us dessert as part of the AYCE menu. Tip: You can spin a wheel for a free gift on your birthday week! We will absolutely be back (much earlier in the day next time), and this restaurant is 100% going on my list of SF bookmarks.

Nice location south of Golden Gate Park. We called about 30 minutes ahead to see how long the wait was on a Saturday evening, and no wait when we arrived. They have 4 person tables on first level and bigger party tables on the second level. If it's your birthday within a week, there is a big wheel you can spin to get a gift. We did like the chooses of soups they had, personally the roasted tomato and tum yum were very good. The choices in meats were well marinated especially the short rib. There is a promotion of buy 1 soju drink and get 2nd 50% off. I'd give the drinks a 5/10. The sauce bar was small, not much of selection but made do with what they had, House made ponzu sauce was good. Would definitely return when in the city.

We had a nice run here. I've written a couple reviews about this place before, but just thought I should update because they've made a major change to their menu. This place used to be our go-to place for hot pot because they had a great set menu - you get to choose your broth, two meats, a handful of veggies/meatballs/etc, and rice or noodles. We recently went back, and now they've changed it so that you still get to choose your broth, you still get to choose two meats, but then you no longer get to choose anything else. So what came was a few pieces of vegetables, and a bunch of fish/shrimp balls we didn't really eat (no subs). You also don't get noodles anymore. The quality of food was still fine, but with this change I don't think we'll be dining here anymore .

Came on Labor Day (Monday) with 2 other people at 7pm and there was no wait to get seated. Waitress was very helpful and explained the menu to us since it was our first time there. Did the AYCE hot pot and grill. There is one grill in the middles and everyone gets their own individual pot. Food came quickly and the quality of meat was superb! The meat comes in label trays so you know which one it is. Amount of meat and other food items isn't too much so you can try many different items! We ordered about 4 full rounds (10 item each) and we were so satisfied. We ordered both hot pot and BBQ items as well as vegetables and appetizers. The menu also gives recommendations on what is hotpot items and what are BBQ items. The sauce bar is not very big but it has all the sauces and fresh herbs you'll need for your meal! We all enjoyed it so much that we all agreed that we will definitely be coming back!

The food was good, although it wasn't quite as memorable as it used to be. The spicy boneless chicken was crispy, juicy, and flavorful, but there was absolutely no spice. I'd rate it 4/5 because if you order something labeled "spicy," you expect at least a little heat! The pork buns were decent. The pork and fresh cucumbers were delicious, but the bun itself was a little leathery. The biggest disappointment was the house hot sake. It tasted different than I remembered, and after pouring our second round, we poured out a fruit fly that had been inside the bottle. That definitely ended our sake for the night. I hope the restaurant inspects bottles before serving them, as that's something that can easily ruin an otherwise enjoyable meal. Despite those issues, the outstanding service is what earned this visit five stars. With a little more spice in the spicy chicken and better quality control on the sake, it'll be easy to make an already good restaurant even better. We'll definitely be back.

We always pass by this place as my kids go to the music school on the same block. We finally had a chance to try the food on a Friday night. The food was unexpectedly delicious. Por laos - I really liked it. Highly recommend if you want a twist of the typical spring rolls. Chicken satay - it's one of the best ones I have, especially from a restaurant at this price point. The chicken breast was on the slightly thicker side, which give us a meaty and satisfying satay. The meat was perfectly cooked and juicy and tender. And they served with the spot on satay sauce. I do wish we get more cucumber salad though. But that's more like my personal preference. Soft shell crab - this is the dish that really won us over. Not only they fried the soft shell crab to perfection, they used quality ingredient as well. (We had been in restaurants before where we got fishy soft shell crab - even after they were deep fried to death.). My kids always wanted to try soft shell crab and they loved it after having their first bit over here. I didn't expect to have this perfect soft shell crab here in a small Thai/Laotian restaurant. Yellow curry w/ chicken - fairly standard yet delicious. I do have to praise the staff for being thoughtful. I forgot to ask for mild when I placed the order. I was so worried that the curry will be too spicy for our table. But apparently the staff made the adjustment for us when they saw us coming with two young kids. Kudos for that! Pad see ew with beef - it's on the sweeter side. We got generous portion of beef in this economy! :) I think this place is a pretty good value. We left with a happy and full belly. It may not be the perfect spot for large parties but it's definitely the perfect spot for those who are in the area craving for authentic Thai/Laotian cuisine!

We arrived about an hour before closing, and quite a few menu items had already sold out. Our server was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely apologetic about the limited availability, even though it was completely understandable given the time. He made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the meal. We ordered the Classic Trio, which includes an appetizer, hot pot soup, and a main dish. For the appetizer, we chose Mama Mu's chicken wings, and they were absolutely phenomenal. They were coated in garlic, fish sauce, and a delicious glaze that hit the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and umami. Easily one of the highlights of the meal. For the hot pot, we went with the tom yum soup. It was sour, spicy, tomato-forward, and packed with a nice amount of heat. My only critique was that the meat portion was a little sparse, especially since we paid extra for the wagyu beef. Our main dish was the Pad Thai, which came topped with an egg omelet, chicken and tofu. It was a solid Pad Thai--though not the standout dish of the night. For dessert, we ordered the mango sticky rice and wow. The blue rice was perfectly sweet, rich, and coated in coconut goodness. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The black bean noodles and wings are always a hit (hot and fresh). service: they were fast at first and then getting the bill took a bit but you just have to flag them down. misc: we came in around 2pm on sat with a group of 15 and got seated really fast! maybe it was luck haha. they also have two bathrooms in the back. parking can be tough but i don't usually have to walk more than 10-15 mins.

San Tung was one of the only busy spots on Irving Street during a weekday lunch hour, which felt like a promising sign. We were seated pretty quickly at a large round table across from two other diners, which was totally fine. And after looking around at everyone's tables, it was clear that these two dishes were the most popular items. Since this was my first time trying the dry fried chicken wings, I was surprised that they came out coated in a thick, sticky sauce--so not necessarily "dry" in the way I expected. Flavor-wise, they leaned more sweet than savory. I think this dish would be a big hit for people who enjoy sweet and sour or kung pao-style chicken, which isn't usually my personal preference. My husband definitely enjoyed them though, so I can see why they have such a loyal following. The black bean noodles were warm and comforting, with a nice homey feel. The sauce had good flavor, although I thought it leaned a little bland and wasn't quite as thick or rich in texture as I personally prefer. Overall, San Tung was a fun spot to finally try, especially given how much hype surrounds those wings. I'd definitely come back with a bigger group of friends so we could order more dishes and get a better feel for the menu, but I probably wouldn't come back on my own for anything in particular.

Today's dinner had a few dishes that were standout and a few that tasted good but had a bit too many ideas going on. Fried shrimp and sweet potato appetizer - this was my favorite dish tonight, the shrimp shells were fried crispy, and I've never seen it paired with sweet potato, but I love a fried sweet potato. Filet mignon and divers scallops - this dish had way too many ideas going on, I think if it was pared down it would be more cohesive. However this was my mom's favorite. The dish had lap cheung (Chinese sausage) which I thought was a tomato at first, pate, a unique-looking fried egg that was yolk, then white, then yellow on top of rice, scallops, onions, Laughing Cow cheese, served with a thick slice of milk bread. The scallops were huge and tasty, but felt out of place and were overpowered if you ate it with the pate. Without it, the rest of the dish would have made more sense to me as a take on a "steak and eggs" breakfast. The braised oxtail was a really innovative take on bo kho. It was like Vietnamese lasagna, with a sheet of rice noodle layered on top of baked Bolognese sauce. The rice noodle had a cilantro sauce, but it was hard to tell or taste when you mixed it with the tomato sauce. It was served with bread and shallot aoili, and while the aioli was absolutely delicious, I didn't understand where I was supposed to eat it with the dish. I made sure to take it home though for another use. This was my dad's favorite. The fried whole fish was solid as usual, though pretty pricey. I've gotten this every time and I don't remember if the accompaniments are always the same, but I think the sauce was. Tonight's dinner got the highest praise from my parents - "expensive but worth it"!!

We gave it to him again and he still managed to not get the entire order. Came back with one drink and forgot about the other. Reminded him again. He Came back with the other drink and spilled it while trying to slide it over the table. He also missed the iced coffees to go at the end so I would say the mandatory 20% charge on service was not deserved at all. Very disappointing Father's Day sit in meal.
