If only people knew there was two lines to order, there wouldn't have been such a long line. with how busy it was, they had only ONE person taking orders. Which didn't help much. I feel like this was the last place I needed to finish my Fried Chicken Infinity Gauntlet so when they opened a location in San Antonio I was def interested in trying it out. I came by early afternoon and there was no line so service in the drive thru was fairly quick. I ordered a 5 piece tender meal with Mac and cheese. I asked for a BBQ sauce, honey mustard and their peach pepper sauce (paid extra for the two extra sauces), 2 Bo-Berry biscuits, sweet tea and a lemonade. The chicken was okay but it wasn't anything special. It had a nice crisp to it but flavor wise it def needed the sauces to take it up a notch. The biscuit that came with my meal was slightly burned and disappointing. The mac and cheese was bland as bland can be. The drinks were good however. The Bo Berry biscuits were surprisingly good as well. I wasn't sure what to expect from them but they ended up surprising me. Overall it's average and I'll prolly have it again but it won't be my go to place anytime soon. read more

I have heard for many years that Bojangles is better than Popeye's. I was glad when one opened here and I looked forward to trying it. Unfortunately they only have tenders and sandwiches. You can't really compare that to Popeye's or any other fried chicken restaurant. I was disappointed after going out of my way to eat there. The tenders were very good, I liked the biscuit and the Mac and cheese. It just wasn't what I was looking for. I was also surprised they don't have hot sauce. They have several dipping sauces none of which interest me. They were well staffed. The restaurant was busy and clean. The girl who took my order was a bit unpleasant but I wouldn't complain. This is not Bojangles! #1, they don't sell any bone-In chicken, only strips and chicken sandwiches. #2 The straps are hard and dry, nothing like Bojangles back east. #3 This place is so small an uncomfortable, its completely ridiculous. This isn't a North Carolina BoJangles. There's only chicken tenders. The tenders taste good. But bone in fried chicken is just better. The dining area is tiny compared to typical BoJangles in NC so don't expect to find seating reliably. Unlike in NC, they aren't making your order as you walk down the aisle. This means they can accidentally clear your order without giving it to you. Turns a 12 min wait into a 30 min wait. No apologies or coupons. They've been open for weeks now. The kinks should already be worked out. Not worth going back until they have real fried chicken. read more

Went out to the new Bojangles with high hopes even after reading the reviews. The wait was well over an hour in line, and we expected that. We used the drive thru. The person taking our order was friendly as well the person who served us. They only serve chicken tenders at this location, which we didn't know. Gravy isn't an option as a dipping sauce. Please believe the comments on the saltiness of the food. The fries are 3x salty. I wiped each fry with a napkin. If you sub the fry, you are charged the full price of that side item, not an upcharge. If you don't want tea and want lemonade, you're charged extra for that beverage. It would be nice if they told you that when you ordered. I'll admit your receipt might give you sticker shock. The biscuits are delicious. They aren't dry like a puck. There is no need to heat it to make it edible. I wish they offered butter and honey. The blue berry biscuits are scrumptious. If you want the Bojangles San Antonio experience, give it a try. So this was my first experience at Bojangles. I waited in line for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, which is understandable, It's a new establishment. Also, the staff is still learning as well, however I found the food to be underwhelming. For starters, no bone-in chicken. I had previewed the menu online, which is definitely not the menu at the location on Potranco. So it's just chicken strips. So the first thing I ate was the French fries. They were fresh and hot, but extremely salty. So me and my mother had to dust off the seasoning. Next I tried the dirty rice, which was very bland and had just two pieces of breakfast sausage crumbles in it. I was expecting the holy trinity in it, some bell peppers, onions, and celery with some sausage. All I received was undirty rice and two breakfast sausage crumbles. Very unseasoned. The Mac n cheese was delicious and the biscuits were soft. Now to the chicken tenders. I found mine to be salty. You can have flavor and spice without so much salt, especially when dipping the chicken into other items such as the jalapeño ranch. I also ordered a salad, which was full of brown leafs of lettuce. However, the house salad with the chicken tenders tasted better with the mix of salty chicken. So the best thing in my opinion was the Boberry biscuits, the regular biscuit and the Mac n cheese. I say, maybe stick to breakfast, and get your chicken tenders from Canes, Popeyes or Chick-Fil-A, but not here unless you love salty tenders. read more

Chicken was very good and get choices for the sauces (listening Raisin' Canes?). The sides were good. We selected dirty rice and cole slaw (similar to KFC and delicious). Added the very good Mac and cheese. Loved the food. Happy to see them using cardboard boxes for most of the food. Can the fixins go that way instead of plastic?
